All CIMB card have paypass, you can use at KFC restaurant.
One more thing is not many cashier don't know how to use the tap reader, if fail to read your card, then they directly swap your card from the terminal which mean you have to sign tongue.gif
According to one former member say, it is not tap reader or the cc problem, the cashier don't know how to operate the tap reader blush.gif

That is exactly true. I experience it twice. blink.gif

Guys, those merchants who direct the credit card surcharge to the customers instead of absorbing them, anywhere to report them? BTW, how much is the charges? 2%? 3%?

No way you can report them since they already inform you that you have to pay 2% or 3% surchage. If you don't agree,no way they can swap your card and once you agree,no other thing you can do already.

Cheers ~

I needed to refinance a property but they say my credit rating over exposed, thus I needed to scale back, so only option was to reduce my CC limit to the minimum, which is RM1K  sad.gif

How can one determine if his/her credit rating is under or over exposed.

Few weeks ago I dropped by BN and got my CCRIS report the reposrt did summarize my total credit with all banks.

Thanks for the info on paypass. biggrin.gif

Any GSC EON BANK cc user here?
Just received mine yesterday and I couldn't get it to link to my GSC account.
I got an error msg saying 'Wrong IC Number. Please re-enter'. Called up EON Bank cs; according to them the problem is not from their end since my IC is correct in their system. The cs asked me to contact GSC instead. So I mailed GSC around 5PM and to my surprise their (GSC) cs called me about 45 mins later. Problem is still unresolved though as it was beyond their working hours and their techies weren't around. The cs promised to look into it tomorrow.

All OCBC credit cards will now give rebates instead of point accumulation, just like Public Bank. The rebate system is really shabby, just like Public Bank too doh.gif

@Gen-X,
When U want to take a loan from the bank they'll tell you you're over-exposed. I believe that's gonna happen to me too! My CC CL combined can probably buy a terrace house !

Actually its pretty simple. As a rule of thumb, take your total gross annual income, divided by 3 and if that amount is less than 10% of your total Credit Exposure ie. not O/S only, then chances are you are screwed sad.gif

I have 6 cards & my total CL can buy half of terrace house. Luckily, when I apply for home loan early his year, it went through smoothly. I'm also quite worry at that time for not getting approval. It turn out that all 3 application from different banks were approved.

Actually I did ask the banks about this matter, HSBC & CIMB told me that not to worry as long as I have no outstanding balance or paid in full every months. But Maybank told me that there was a few cases where they rejected the application due to too many CC.

So I guess it really depend on individual banks policy.

thanks for replying but I still blur lah. I understand up to annual income divided by 3 then got lost in the 10% thingy and O/S. Nevermind lah, if I need to get loan next tme than only go understand it.

Back to CC, DA/CIMB got offer at Sunway Piramid this weekend and next. Spend RM200 free umbrella, spend RM400 Santa Barbara Bag spend RM600 Thermos flask. Ad in Ths Star can't remember page. Looks like DA got more offers recently.

@tinkerbel

Forgot to tell I still have to serve my car loan. So I guess you do not need to worry too much but remember when applying for home loan, try to get from more than 1 bank.

This CIMB/DA is for when U spend at any shops @ Sunway Pyramid?! hMm.. RM400 for a Santa Barbara bag; can't be a luggage bag since U need RM600 for a Thermos Flask. Anyways, I'm working throughout this weekend; need to keep eye on promoters @ PC Fair *sigh*

I too am lost at where U are so let's just wait for tgeoklin to come back to explain biggrin.gif

OT: I'm looking for a job at the moment (in the areas of Marketing) - anyone who knows any lubang can PM me ah?!
