vin_ann: Yes, I do take supplements and Glucosamine is one of them. It's good to take even if one doesn't have problems with the knee. It's for maintanence. Go for low dosage and also consult your doctor first though.

QUOTE(momentum5 @ Dec 17 2008, 01:21 PM) any comment... I'm using the UD marathon belt, and also have a gel flask clip on... both give me no problems... UD marathon belt can hold keys, money, IC, plasters, lotion packets, (gels also)... then with the clip on gel flask, i can pour 3-4 gel packets inside for easy refueling... can take gel every 15-20 mins without needing to finish a whole packet at once... its suitable if you go for long distance running... this setup i mean..http://www.quick-sport.com/Product/default...te%20Directions the Marathon Belt, just nice for small items for gel & key ... but the price is RM59 |

1)pedestrian brigde-is it the same like what we use in KL?steep staircase up then flat walk way then steep staircase down? 2)i think i saw some bridges along the route on the map(in the Sundown website)..what type of bridge?is it flat? 3)THE ROUTE..is it generally flat or how much of it hilly? Thanks for the info...i need them to prepare for the race. |

meatball88: Myself and ccube has ran in this year's edition. To answer your question:
1) 4 pedestrian bridges. More or less the same as the one in KL, but much cleaner and don't have any "chip away" cement. Mixture of stairs and ramps. 2) I guess the bridges refers to the pedestrian bridge. 3) Route is generally flat. However you have to run on a mixture of concrete, sand (Bedok Reservoir) and tarmac throughout the course. Not forgetting the parks around the HDB flats which is winding and tilting to one side. The end is an uphill climb follow by a short hill burst to the finish line via crossing a narrow 1 lane bridge. |

Yeah, it's dark but won't be so dark until you fall into a hole. Just be careful when running through darken areas as shortly, you will be back under the street lights. It's Singapore! I suggest you bring along a small water bottle like those mineral water type for the first 10KM, then to be thrown away to avoid congestion at the water stations during the early stages of the race.

Congratz to lexan and vin-ann on a good run at the Malakoff 12KM. Although GPS reading shows only 11.1KM, I believe it's the furthest you guys ran. And to lexan, great to meet you.
sfax: Take it easy from now on. No harm or shame in skipping races. Get your injury cured first. Not to scare you, but as Wan said, ITB injury isn't an injury to be mess with. |
