Sorry, is it like this ? Basically just get both the wires from the wall to tie together either with connector or wire to wire directly?

Else tomorrow i might have to remove the fan and see if its the thermal fuse issue which i googled might also be a sign of fan unable to turn on / spin

EDIT :

or can i just touch the live wire like in this above video mark 8.27 , albeit more dangerous , lazy but faster way  biggrin.gif i think i'll just go with the 1st video i shared, connect via connector then on back the MCB to test it out
*
well, depends on ur skill and if u r comfortable 'playing' with electrical.. biggrin.gif
1st method much safer.. wont accidently touch the live wire there..

Not comfortable, but will close all MCB first since previously change own led lights driver i also off the MCB.
Better to be safe than sorry.
Will try it out later.

But if after bypass the regulator and the fan spins, what would be the issue which needs attention ? Replace the regulator ?

And if the fan wont spin after bypass regulator, means thermal fuse need replacement ?

if bypass regulator, fan spin full speed, then just get new regulator.
if not, might be capacitor at the motor.. else, might be thermal fuse (usually this is rare case) and very difficult to replaced. unless u can do electronics and handle small copper enamel coil at motor, the fuse usually buried abit inside the coils windings.

Bypassed but fan not working still. After i off the MCB, the blue wire still live when i poke it with a test pen but the black one wasnt.

The capacitor was the 1st thing i changed when the fan was not working.

Edit : occasionally i keep twisting the regulator knob, i noticed the capacitor twitch abit. Presume a little electricity was delivered into the fan but the fan didnt moved at all.

Safe to say its thermal fuse issue ?

not sure.
u need to do troubleshooting on the fan motor itself.
check thermal fuse continuity, coil winding continuity/resistance.

Didnt have the capacity to troubleshoot, so i gave a nearby electrical repair shop a call.

Mentioned that after change capacitor nor bypass the regulator the fan also won't work / spin. He mentioned cannot be fix and most likely motor is burn after getting lighting strike or short circuit etc. Told him am staying in condo, he said doesn't matter.

Just brush me off by saying not worth to fix, just replace it whole blush.gif

Actually if those 3 blades with regulator, if no capacitor to try, can just bypass the capacitor (cut off the capacitor and connect both wires end together) and then spin the fan manually using a broom. If kept going means is capacitor rosak since it is the only thing you removed from the circuit. Capacitor is just there to start the fan spinning.

but I already replaced the capacitor with a new one. Fan's not working / spinning at all still.

Any thoughts on NSB Aeratron AE3+?
Price is so much more expensive like my daikin aircond.
Worth it really?

I'm using it and love it.

But the hook is different type. Check before you buy.

Hu Guys,

Any general guidelines for the number of blade and leght of blade?
I think less blade and longer lenght generates most airflow ?

Is this correct?

I always been using 3 blade regulator from KDK, now want to see if the one with remote is better airflow.

My newly installed Alpha Vannus ceiling fan is wobbling. Contacted Alpha CS on Monday, appointment was made for 25th (next Tuesday). Yesterday the technician contacted me and said he could come today. Came and done balancing, fan no longer wobbles now. So far so good with Alpha's service

The area right below the fan should be ok. But if you want to move lots of air in a narrow long rectangular space consider using a wall fan the KC-4GR. That blows a lot of air like a tube.

Hi just wondering if my KDK k14xz-gy is supposed to have a slight wobble after installation?

The installer said that it’s normal sweat.gif
Other KDK celling fan in my house doesn’t seem to wobble compared to this newly installed celling fan

Due to imperfection in balancing. Normally ceiling fan comes with balancing weight kit.
