Hi, I'm looking for a ceiling fan that has last fan speed memory feature. Please share.

Last fan speed memory feature means if I switch off a ceiling fan currently running at second speed using the main power switch (not by the remote control), then when I switch it back on later using main power switch, the ceiling fan will start at previous fan speed setting at second speed.

Using the main power switch on the wall still can last set memory?

Any recommended brand that has strong wind, reliable(lasting) and less noisy? With or without light is fine. (if got light attach with the fan, do we need additional wiring just for the light itself?)

Hi friends, been experiencing slower KDK ceiling fan as compared with my another same model ceiling fan in my house, I've heard about solved by replacing the capacitor but i have no idea how to open and check it, i lost the manual booklet as well.. model as per picture, tqtq

N a sales guy told me, for small rooms, it's better to get fans  with shorter blades cos those with longer blades won't be as windy in smaller rooms. Is this true?

Actually it was pretty much my mistake not to check them properly even when the shop opened the box in front of me. I only check if the components were complete and not the physical state of the fan itself. So, there is no way I can prove that it was crack out of the box.

I bought an FR 43” as well. The fan was fine. Wind was strong even at slow speed. But... yesterday I noticed that there is a kruk kruk sound coming out from the fan. My contractor already told me about that but it wasn’t noticeable unless when in complete silence. Will report to them tomorrow.

I guess their QC is pretty shit, hopefully the aftersales is decent.

I bought my AE3+ 60” at full price RM1699. The FR 43” was RM10 cheaper from full price

Hi everyone, I just got Panasonic Bayu 3 fan installed to a plaster ceiling. The installer directly screw the thing tru the plaster then to the plate behind and making entire plater vibrate and hums. It is very noisy at the edge of the room which is where my head at when I sleep. When I touch the ceiling, the noise frequency is exactly what I hear.

I asked the installer, he say is wind noise, but the noise occur before the fan spins. He insist his wind noise explanation so I lazy to argue with him  Sounds like uneducated person.

I then check installation guide and it have some anti vibration mounting and also completely isolated from plaster.

I will ask them for the parts that comes with the fan and install myself.

But where do I find this part? Looks like need to custom cut. It also recommends a square size, 260x260x5mm, which it's edge will become visible after putting on the cover.



Any alternative idea to eliminate the noise are welcomed.

hi all, eyes blurred reading from pages 1xx ytd night to this morning. but so much of info and greatly appreciate previous feedbacks and helped my to narrow down my choices.

but here's my dilemma, a little backstory.

been an Alpha users for 10+ years in 2 houses and no reliability issues - just wanna see if there's other options to check out - open my mind more.
happily planned for KDK but went into store yesterday on a whim and saw NSB fans, and was pleasantly surprised on options. I've heard and evaluated them before but went with alpha previously. went online to see more comment of them recently but no avail. then saw this thread posting - no publicly raised issues but also couldn't find any rave positive reviews.

sudden change of evaluation criteria was mostly due to NSB has more design choices (wood themed, e.g. Mahogany, Oak) that matches more to overall ID rather than white / grey colour by KDK - which can also match ID but spouse prefers lower maintenance, hence white white blades or cups if possible.

current evaluation (KDK) / itchy backside noob thoughts (NSB):
1. Living and Dining room = Sensa 4 or 5 / Ovio or Ovio+
2. Double volume area = KC-4GR /  Fino 2
3. Island Area = V touch Jr or baby fan series / Mimi or Wiwi
4. Master Bedroom = Sensa 4 / B-Fan
5. Bedrooms = Sensa 4 or V touch / XTRA DELUXE

"gentle" battle between kdk and nsb begins!
fyi, planning to buy all fans next week during homedec KL on may 13-16. luckily get more discounts or free installation!

anyone has any experience with NSB, please provide comment yeah! coz really hard to find bad / good reviews.
or should I stick to KDK or check out other brands for another comparison, e.g. Alpha?

Which aerathron are you using ? 54” or 60”?

how's the reliability so far? planning to put one in living room and dinning room if pockets allows it.
was thinking ovio 60" 3 blades but aerathon design is so much more prettier!
