hi all...

hopefully we can share some information and perhaps experience of using ceiling fans here in this topic

for me, KDK is one good brand as my dad's house has been using it since 1985 and no prob at all until today...even the regulator itself...
what we do....we just regularly unscrew the blade and wash it....
so it become shiny again...
until today...
it still performing well....

now....
for my new house....
i'm hunting for good fan..
yup...
KDK is the 1st in my mind....
attracted to the Yuragi model....KY156

but at the same time....
Panasonic also has it

user posted image

more or less...
it pretty the same...
but the price.....BOMB!

suggested by a friend to get Euro Uno....
5 years warranty for the motor.....
but it seems to shaky for me...unstable....
thin material....
looks like won't last for long term....

hopefully...
beside sharing ur experience here...
u can also give ur opinion to assist me on this....

thanks rolleyes.gif

i have 1 kdk fan and 1 euro uno. when i was shopping, all the shops told me that kdk and panasonic are the same i.e made in the same factory.

if you are looking for a fast fan, go for a 4 blade euro uno. if you are looking for reliability, 4 blade kdk.

4 blade is cheaper and faster. 5 blades just makes the fan go slower.

is that the case?
5 blades is slower than 4 blades?

that is what i gathered from observing some of the fans in an electrical shop. the salesman told me that it is because they are using the same motor, and the extra blade makes it heavier and as such slower.

didnt u know that KDK fan is OEM from Panasonic ??

Since they not producing fan but get it instead from Panansonic, hence their price will alittle expensive than Panasonic.

Last sat, i checked the Euro uno new fan which the blade is made from ABS (sort of plastic) & we can use hand to stop the fan while running w/o hurting our hands...Some more, it's fan can link to down light & the down light can be control by fan remote ctrl.. This price is Rm 220 onli..

hahaha...

hmmm...
good info there....

but what i've heard is that...the Euro Uno is cheap made product....
so its kind of unreliable to have them for long term...

perhaps i need more views on this...

thanks btw

(High) 231 - 283
Air delivery (m3/min) 226

Panasonic F-M14C5 (4blade)
R.P.M
(Low) 97 - 118
(High) 170 - 208
Air Delivery (m3/min) 209

Panasonic F-MY143CV (5blade)
R.P.M
(Low) 90 - 122
(High) 153 - 190
Air Delivery (m3/min) 204

BBQ Sauce

I'm using Panasonic F-M14C5 x 5 units.

Yuo Pana and KDK share the same factory.

The fans from both brands are the same except the brand chop, colour tongue.gif and price I think Panasonic in shops slightly more expensive by about RM10 to RM20.

KDK and Pana are coming from the same factory. The price varies from shop to shop Some shop sells KDK slightly cheaper and vice versa. Last time I bought 3 Pana and 2 KDK same fan model. Just a durability test to see if there is any difference between these two brands. So far both are still running very well, of course as I just bought them half year ago.

KDK manufacture the fans for Panasonic. So other than the design (maybe some diff in color) they're actually the same. but with a twist.. panasonic added an extra feature into the fan that sync with panasonic's air-cond. so when u adjust your aircond temperature, the fan will adjust its speed too.

Added on September 1, 2008, 11:12 pmoh, btw according to Lilian Too, ceiling fan is bad feng-shui.
