I just bought Rezo ZR42 to replace my Deka Baby G after over 3 years usage. Wanna try out new brand since bit disappointed with Deka fan quality despite their customer service is good. Can't comment much since only bought & use it.

Any comments about Rezo fans?

Oic..... their DC fans is one of the cheapest (if not mistaken) and give 5 years warranty. I dont have fate in KDK brand...... Years back start in KDK brand, all KDK fans broken down after 2 years. Then jumped to Deka brand, but doesn't last long too. I will invest in DC fan later Lol....

Anyway back to your concern, Can't really know how reliable of DC fans since I quite new to this kind of fans. You may check these topic https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4931320/+40 & https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4963141/+0 to find out more info.

I see. I asked reason being their DC fans seem reasonably priced and the design looks quite nice as well. Its definitely much cheaper compared to KDK although KDK is already a proven brand

eg: Rezo Signature series Axis 56 was selling like RM400+ at most, KDK Sensa 5 need RM900+  rclxub.gif , although Rezo is 56" and Sensa 5 is 60". Even KDK K15YX-QBR also need RM700+

If I'm tenant and landlord so nice allow me to choose, I will choose those fancy and expensive type. Who cares since not pay by me? biggrin.gif Well if I'm landlord, I would just install those regulator type which easy to take care and can last longer.

QUOTE(LemonKnight @ Apr 6 2022, 06:29 PM)
I need some advice for buying fans in rental units. What do tenants prefer? Remote control or regulator fans? And what about normal steel fans over the abs fans? Are there any difference in preference or am I overthinking?

Thanks in advance.

Price close to RM1k. Google this model and found out last time sell at RM750 in Shopee. Now cheapest around RM800. Can guaranty to last how many years? tongue.gif

He claims this one doesn't suffer from the capacitor issue like the other models.

If something diff from previous meant some part may spoiled. Check capacitor if unable to control speed of speed no change even you change speed. Call customer service if under warranty, could be motor issue if you changed capacitor and issue remained.

Just call the fan company come fix it under warranty.

QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Sep 16 2022, 11:27 PM)
one of my newly-installed fans seems to be unbalanced and wobbly, causing it to produce screeching sound as it turns.

not sure whether it's due to uneven weight, or bent blade. (but this is not metal blade, so, low probability that it is due to bent blade.)

any idea on how i can fix this?

For Patah issue, many cases? Or you just heard only? So far I only saw one case and that rumours spread all over.

If new installed and got issue, just give Deka customer service a call. They will come to settle very fast.

Maybe that’s where the cracked blades stem from.

I bought one Rezo ZR42 in March 2022 to try out by replace deka baby fan. 3 times visited by Rezo technician to solve my fan problem.

I feel not impressed with it because after first installed, heard that the fan got every annoying tiny swing sound. Rezo came to replace the fan motor within few days. Actual the fan motor shared amongst it other models such as ZR56, AX series too. Only difference is the design as told by technician.

Few months later, another swing sound come again. I very sensitive to those tiny swing sound especially when sleeping at quiet night. So just file complaint. Technician came and found out the safety cable not screwed at all. Only possibility is that the first technician not screwed back because I installed the fan my own and really screwed the safety cable. The technician tighten back the cable and asked me to monitor. Besides replaced the PCB board too because the fan receiver not always can't be remote controlled by remote control signal.

After monitor the 2nd visit and found out actually the swing sound did not solve at all. Very hard to trigger during day time if not quiet enough the room. Only file again another complaint in March 2023, another technician came and change again another new motor. NOW cross finger hope no more issue.

I felt that low range products amongst Rezo or Deka or whatever the brands, quality is all the SAME. Deka customer service much better than Rezo which their technicians are quite senior and very pro to solve problems. Rezo always facing "not enough technicians" problem because they may need time to allocate their technicians. Most of time their technicians only newly joined and no idea of Rezo products.

Hi just wondering if my KDK k14xz-gy is supposed to have a slight wobble after installation?

The installer said that it’s normal sweat.gif
Other KDK celling fan in my house doesn’t seem to wobble compared to this newly installed celling fan

Previously I got zero experience replacing fans. Watch some youtube, take photos on wiring & disconnect it and take down the fan. Installation quite easy & make sure you connect the safetly cable too.

Just wondering, my Alpha 828/3B fan is 10+ years old, is it worth repairing or just get a new one?

I am considering Panasonic Bayu F-M14SHVBKH. Anything I should know about this model?

Apparently this is a new DC motor model.

Is it easy enough to replace by myself? I have zero experience replacing fans. I assume no need to do wiring etc?

Just follow back the wiring as old one for any replacement. For ceiling hook, replace the whole old rubber pulley from to new type since diff.

QUOTE(contestchris @ Jul 11 2025, 09:26 PM)
Can somebody please help me

I've purchased the replacement ceiling fan but have a few issues.

1. Ceiling wires. From this picture to confirm, white is live, green is earth and black is neutral, correct?

2. Ceiling hook. The current fan has a hook with rubber pulley and a nut goes through it. The New fan has the same rubber pulley, but also another hook to go through. There is no nut. How?

3. The regulator, does it need changing? I opened up, there are two brown wires. Which is live and neutral?
