Yes. There're charges. It's called cash advance facility. There's a withdrawal fee of 5% of withdrawn amount or RM 50 whichever higher and the financial charge (interest rate) is 18% p.a. or 1.5% p.m. is starting to be charged from the date of withdrawal.

does anyone has this idea... say you have a MBB CC and a CIMB cc
You want to pay all your CIMB card bills with your MBB card. To make it simpler, monthly transfer from MBB CC to pay the outstanding of CIMB CC so that the CIMB outstanding will go to MBB CC.
I don't know what this service is called. The reason why I asked this is because say if I have a MBB CC, I can pay all my outstanding from though M2U instead of sending cheques to CIMB to settle the outstanding...

Emm ... you are asking for a very complicated service. There's this balance transfer facility where you can transfer balance from cc to another cc from another bank. But what you are trying to do is to perform this on a monthly basis which I think if you keep it up, no bank would eventually want to entertain you anymore. Plus most balance transfer facility is chargeable with a small fee. Why would you want to go through all that hassle ? (Not to mention irk the banks)

Well ... there's the IBG / Giro transfer that you can use since you already have M2U. If you don't want to pay the RM2 fee then PM me and see whether you like my solution or not. tongue.gif (Even you use cheque also got costs ... cheque stamp duty, petrol/postage)

My friend who applied Petronas-Maybank Visa from the booth at Giant got his application approved faster than me. He's expecting his card by this week or early of next week.

On the other hand, I accidentally submitted a Call-Me application for Citibank CC online yesterday and never expect that they'll call so fast today. Anyway, I'm still considering this since payment wise isn't so comfortable unless I have to spare RM 2 for IBG.

RM 50 is a lot of money but it is to discourage people from paying up late. Well, you gotta be fair to those people who pay up on time + in the first place the bank provides interest free period of 20 days. hmm.gif

To simply my question, I would like to know if there is any facility to pay other CC e.g. CIMB from MBB savings account without having charged RM2. In other words, can I transfer funds from my MBB CC to CIMB CC so that when I want to do payment, I just pay to MBB CC using M2U.

The simple answer is No. No such thing exist.

You know the answer to this one. It's the service which you get charged for RM 2.

Call the call center for a temporary credit limit increase. The speed which this will be approved depends on the bank, some almost immediately ... some within the next working day. (E.g. UOB require 1 working day) Temporary credit limit increase is normally valid for 1 month.

Of course the request need to be reasonable -> asking for a double credit limit increase will highly be rejected. I think the banks won't blink if you intend to increase it by around RM3-5K.

Emm ... there's another way but I'm not sure whether it's still available or not. (Don't quote me on this one) Not all banks offer this and it depends whether they want to allow you to do this or not. You may back the credit limit using a long term FD - e.g a RM30K limit would require you to put in FD for RM30K (12 months) but you can't take the FD out so long you intend to use it as collateral. The moment you do that, your card is canceled.

Credit limit is initially set at 1:1 ratio but the bank will improve the ratio once you can prove good payment track record. (Maybe up to 1:2 ratio) I came across this while I was at one of the local bank card center applying for a credit limit increase. The person beside me was bargaining with the cc credit officer to increase the credit limit after topping up the FD value.

Of course the easier method is to get someone you know with a higher credit limit to get it for you. Surely no problem if you will back the purchase with cash upfront to your friend smile.gif

I assume your card is more than 12 months. In most cases when you use your existing card as proof then you are likely to get the same limit back. You can try asking for more but I won't put this much hope if I were you.

BTW ... EON bank got a very strict credit history background check and they impose an additional 2.5% surcharge on top of your usage for international purchases.

NO problem, i only need EON bank for purchase something locally which is beyond credit limit, because EON bank have 7.2% handling fees on 0% for 36month installment, which is much lower than any other loan available.
