CIMB is currently offering Free For Life (prinicipal card) without condition CC for Mastercard like DA. It's also Paypass-enabled.

Dear Playbook...

As you can see from post by mr david, currently cimb offer free for life credit card - no minimum spending, no conditions, no joining fee, no annual fee...you can apply for this CC icon_rolleyes.gif

One question here...
is it ok if we dont use this card for several months ? is there any charge will be given if we do not spend actively using this cimb paypass cc? unsure.gif

To be exact, its not CIMB but Direct Access
Go CIMB and ask for free for life CC and u will not get the correct card if u dont say Direct Access.

WaCKy, I just get back from CIMB.. currently they have promotion for the CIMB Paypass CC itself (not the direct access)..as i mentioned before..there are no joining fees, no annual fees and no conditions.. i have the form with me now..

But i still want to get the DirectAccess cc for me..i can get the gold card if i apply with DA instead of only classic card if i apply for the CIMB card.

Yeah, I also noticed that. I think CIMB admin did not update their site regularly.. tongue.gif
No need for an agent WaCKy.

Just go directly to any CIMB branch, and apply. Bring along a photocopy of important documents as stated below:
For CIMB PayPass CC
1.IC (both sides)
2.Latest Salary Slips(not sure for previous 2 or 3 mths )

For DirectAccess CC
1.Same as above 1 and 2
2.Degree Certificate
3.Business Card

Hope these info will helps rolleyes.gif

Added on January 3, 2008, 3:45 pmwhat will happens if we have a credit card(eg cimb paypass or direct access that is free for life and have no min swipes), and we only used it seldomly(let say once a mth).. and sometimes we did not used it for 2 or 3 mths..
what will happens to our CC? is there any extra charge will be given ? or our account will be freeze or something like that ?

can anyone clarify me about this matter ? thanks..kinda new to this CC matters.. thanks again

Own a Petronas Maybankard Visa now and enjoy free annual fees for life. No conditions attached.

and what about cimb petronas card ? any clarification?

QUOTE(ronnie @ Jan 31 2008, 08:47 AM)
For CIMB Petronas Mastercard,

RM2500 x 2% = RM50 lah... unless you use fuel >RM2500 per month, you are not affected.

RM2500 of fuel (@RM1.92/liter) equals to 1300 liters.
Each car average tank is approx 50 liters.
You can fill up each day for 26 times in a month smile.gif
Maybe you stay in JB and work in Penang will cause such high consumption biggrin.gif
*
nice info.. so for you POV, the better get the maybank petronas cc than cimb?
the cimb petronas cc is only benefits us if we fill up fuel until RM 2500/mth to get the RM50 rebate.. not nice.. For me, my car only need average rm 400-500/mth, and that entitled me for the RM8 rebate...not quit interesting.. better stick to my current normal cimb cc.

dude, its only saying the MAXIMUM rebate lah. You don't have to spend more than RM2500 to get the bloody 2% rebate doh.gif They'll rebate you if you spend RM2500 or less...not more than that.
*
yes i already know that fact, but if only pump RM500/mth == RM 5 rebate/mth. not quit interesting. That's my pov.
that's only my 2 cents Aeon..
thanks

Just got the CIMB Petronas CC pamphlet at petronas ttdi.
Stated Free For Life..but never see the "without any conditions" statement there..
The previous offer for CIMB CC otherwise stated that statement...

so the CIMB Petronas CC "free for life" status is still in doubt sweat.gif

Yes. There're charges. It's called cash advance facility. There's a withdrawal fee of 5% of withdrawn amount or RM 50 whichever higher and the financial charge (interest rate) is 18% p.a. or 1.5% p.m. is starting to be charged from the date of withdrawal.

Understood ! crstal clear ! wish i never use this cash adv facility nod.gif

Hello guys,

I would like to apply for Maybank Petronas CC, but the problem here is that my Maybank savings account is not so active (since my primary account is CIMB).

Is there any possibility that my application will be rejected due tu my savings account is not that active?

Thanks smile.gif

That won't be a consideration factor of the approval of your application. Other factors like annual income weigh higher.

Ok david. Thanks. Will apply asap

i just apply the CIMB PETRONAS card.

They just need 3 pay slips from me.
*
quit easy for apllying cim cc.. just provides them with copies of latest salary slip..

but from what i can see..there's a lot of document that must be submitted with the Maybank Petronas CC..such as:
1.IC copy
2.Latest 2 mth salary slips
3.Latest 3mths Account statements

is it necessary to submit all oh these docs ?
