actually what are the reasons one person having so many CC? we can just have 1 card with high credit limit rite...

To get the benefits lo...not all cards have the same promotions, discounts and such.
and like hye mentioned, some cards are not accepted so its best for you to get 1 Visa, 1 Master. Don't bother abt Amex tongue.gif
but whatever you do, try not to keep any balance in the cards. Always settle the monthly statement in full...

I feel like my MBB VISA with Visa Wave card got reading compatibility problem on MBF terminals. Encountered several rejected cases.

Card limit was lower as compared to my other cards. Keeping only the high limit cards now.

I have a CIMB plat card. However, the CS told me that I cannot check balances online unless I have a Savings Account with CIMB. Is this true? CIMB is that lousy?
Note, both my Citi and HSBC cards allow me online access/banking!

First you need to get an ATM PIN for ATM access.

After you received that, go to the nearest ATM machine and generate the First Time Login e-PIN.

Then, go to CIMBClicks website and perform a First Time Login wizard.

Ridiculous, the CIMB DA CS told me that you can view it.

That's what I thought too. Then when I asked the CIMB CS how do I get an ATM PIN, she said I need to have a 'basic savings acount' first. I said are you sure? Sound ridiculous as other banks do not require me to hold a savings account? She then said, just open a savings account, minimum deposit RM20 only. No need to use also can, then I can get ATM card for ATM PIN. Unfortunately I don't have time to run around opening redundant accounts for no reason rclxub.gif

Does anybody use CIMB cards (not DA) who's tried online access without a savings account?

I'm using the CIMBClicks without a savings or current account and holding just the cards. Like David83 said, you need to apply for the cc PIN (It doesn't come automatically with the card unlike other cc). The PIN will be mailed to you but it'll probably take a while before it arrives, be patient.

Once you received it, go over to the bank and use the PIN to register for an Internet PIN. The rest should be straight forward.

CIMB DA or CIMB CC should work the same way. What the CS told you is a really bull of crap! Why on earth somebody needs to open a SA or BSA in order to gain access to the online facility? I'm not going to do any deposit transaction and it's merely to view the previous transactions that I have done. It's totally not making any sense at all. Did you confirm with any CSE? Is the other CSE said the same thing?

CIMB CS are full with shits. I call 3 of them and all of them gave me different idea. None was right.

Anyway you can view ur CC in clicks without having any deposit account for sure. All you need to do is fill up a form to apply for a pin at credit card centre, wait 2 or 3 weeks. upon receiving ur CC pin, put ur CC into ATM machine, change ur CC password(this pin can be use for fastcash so better change it carefully) and create an "E-Pin" at the same time. Go to cimbclicks, click on 1st time login, put in ur details and epin you created. And DONE.

However if you're already using clicks, just go to counter and apply for a pin. No need to do a 1st time login for ur CC. As long as you got an existing Clicks account, once u're CC pin is generated, it will be automatically reflect in ur existing clicks. The whole freaking idea to apply a CC pin here is because they need to create ur account somewhere. Once the CC is generated, clicks will put anything from there that have the same IC.

any yea if you got like more than 1 cc with CIMB, just apply for ONE pin is enough. You will still be able to view ur CC in clicks once ONE pin is generated. Eg u got 4 CC, u apply pin for one of the CC is good enough to allow you to view all 4 CC in clicks.

I think when you mentioned ATM pin, the CS probably thought you mean ATM Card's pin which is why you're told that you need to have Sav ACC which is the ATM card. You should've say Credit Card pin instead. ATM pin != Credit Card pin.

Miscommunication maybe. And yea CIMB CS is not really all that helpful. Probably they require more training and understand of the whole system because after BCB and SBB merging, its a lil diff.

How come I could associate my CIMB DA with the existing CIMBClicks account? My exisiting Clicks account has been "suspended" since the ATM card that I used have been cancelled. When I tried to associate my CIMB DA with the existing Clicks again, it gave me a card type not match error.

Does what the CSE is correct?

I did receive a PIN in the mail (before my card actually). I brought it to the bank and said I want to enable the online, that's when she said cannot shakehead.gif . I will try at a different branch.

When I tried to login to my existing Clicks account using the username and password I remembered, it leads me to the below snapshot:

[attachmentid=392762]

Then I keyed in all the details required - CIMB DA card number, e-PIN that I assigned from ATM machine and my Clicks password.

A error message popped up and said "card type not matched".

[attachmentid=392769]
I have erased the last 8 digits before snapshotting that.

I also tried to do a First Time Login using the existing Clicks username and it couldn't proceed further as it said that the username requires combination of alphanumeric.

I have a savings account with BCB (now known as CIMB) before i signed up for the DA credit cards. WIthout much hassle, now I can see all my transactions for my CC, FD and also savings in CIMBclicks.

I didn't go through those traumatizing experience you guys had. In fact, my DA cards reached me in 5 days (with supplementary so 4 cards in total). The pins reached me in less than 2 weeks. I only had to make a call to the customer service once to activate the cards and it went well too. Pretty good for me.

Most of the banks I asked mentioned that the supplementary bill is sent to the principle card holder. Which cc provides an option for the supplementary bill to be sent separately to the supplementary card holder? (Without revealing the card activities not related to him/her)

So you able to view your statement online? Is there a section to show your accumulated DA points too?
