Some bank offer gold cards with no salary restriction during promotional events. Such is eon bank. offered to me last month. but didnt care.

Its gold and free for life, no annual fee and alot of other promotional offers.

yks8845: the 0.5 % rebate is for all retail transactions. you will NOT get any points for retail transactions if charged to cimb petronas cc.

for cimbclicks, all ur accounts is tied to ur IC. u can access other account information using ur original login name and password.
However, if u want to do a fund transfer, u can only transfer funds from the account ur logged in to other accounts. if u want to transfer fund from ur other accounts u need to create separate cimbclicks account for them, and login with that account.

i heard some1 using HSBC gold or CITIBANK gold (international bank) with higher credit limit to apply Platinum card ( local bank)
is that possible?

Nowaday a lof of bank offer gold card which only required 30k annual income ( which mean around 2.5k monthly)

hi there, they are few ways in order to get CC gold.
1. your monthly salary
2. Fixed deposit with minimum 10k (offered by few banks)
3. Personal or Home loan

if u can use alot and with a good payment record.... bank sure upgrade your card to gold & increase credit limits
for example this guy only earn 2k a month but he got extra income .... so he spend more then 2k in credit card la
so bank will base on his spending then increase this card to gold .......

Gold card is normal already lo. RM2k also can get Direct Access CIMB and Maybank Petronas gold card.

If want citibank and hlb gold, apply classic first loh, they auto upgrade for you.. my friend pay also rm1k plus only they auto upgrade already but same credit RM4k only

I see most platinum card also free for life ma.. where got difficult

anybody can confirm that maybank petronas card not eligible for mesra card? i can't apply my mesra card at the terminal myself, but when i take the receipt into the counter, the sales person will swipe for me @_@

You can't benefit from both sides. If you/anyone using the CIMB/Maybank Petronas co-brand credit card, you can't claim Mesra points.

bro, PBB, you need to go to bank and fill in the form to add-on your credit card into ur online banking lol...

for credit card, you need to go to your home branch (where ur saving account opened with the branch) fill in the form and submit. tht's all... i thinks it's need to wait for 1 days to let them activate ur CC thing into your bank account online.

while for the car loan, same thing. to link my car loan which is also PBB, this making me pissss off. the customer services in my home branch, which is KLCC HQ, said i need to Setapak where my car loan is taken.

but i called the customer services careline, they said the different. and finally, i have to go to my car loan branch to fill in the form and submit.

My guess is that they will offer your a Gold card since it's harder to get Gold card from foreign banks generally speaking.
