QUOTE(zenquix @ Feb 14 2008, 11:57 PM) Got my MBB Petronas Visa card yesterday. Used it today. The pump will still prompt for the mesra card since the card is IDed as MBB Visa (same as other Maybank visas i think) by the machine. Whether got points or not.. dunno. Then mesra points should be added then. Anyway I will test when i get the CIMB petronas card (hopefully) |

according to the cimb petronas cc, im entitled to 0.5% rebate of any retail transaction. if i top up my touch n go at petronas, is it considered as a retail transaction? (similar to other services like hotlink top up etc.)

I'll go over to petronas and ask them then. they have a cc terminal there, so by right should be able to use credit card right? cuz the last time i use my cimb atm card to pay also can (not at ATM terminal). Also, when will i get the rebate?

QUOTE(cute_boboi @ Feb 21 2008, 03:43 PM) IINM, Petronas CS "claims" it is a separate payment system. Cannot use CC, must use cash only. I have reloaded couple of times some years ago. Not sure the policy has changed or not. What if i pump petrol, buy some stuff and top up my touch n go over the counter at the same time, then i need to pay them credit card and also cash at the same time? Reload TnG using CC can only be done at Rangkaian Segar (Tmn Desa) or some PLUS toll plaza counters only. Inform us here, if anyone manage to reload TnG using CC on petrol kiosk, ATM, LRT station, etc. |

QUOTE(cute_boboi @ Feb 21 2008, 04:53 PM) Yes. 2a and 2b can, I did it before in petronas cyberjaya. I told the guy that i pump full tank. (cuz the cc terminal at pump not working, ask me to go in to the site)1) Pay TnG = separate cash 2)(a) Pay petrol separate transaction punch-in 2)(b) Pay food/drinks separate transaction punch-in I think item (2)(a) and (b) cannot be combined into single-CC transaction, I'm not so sure about it. But last time, I can confirm item (1) and (2) cannot. havent try with 1 and 2. wacky-angel : that only applies to touch and go zing i think. |

I dropped over to petronas station after work and i asked the bangladesh guy who's working there...he say for touch and go they only accept cash as the reload service is a separate account. something like the touch and go top up just tumpang a place there, therefore a separate account for it.
perhaps one more way to reload touch and go using cc is via ATM but using ur credit card instead of ur atm card. |

yks8845: the 0.5 % rebate is for all retail transactions. you will NOT get any points for retail transactions if charged to cimb petronas cc.
for cimbclicks, all ur accounts is tied to ur IC. u can access other account information using ur original login name and password. However, if u want to do a fund transfer, u can only transfer funds from the account ur logged in to other accounts. if u want to transfer fund from ur other accounts u need to create separate cimbclicks account for them, and login with that account. a bit This post has been edited by SnoWFisH: Apr 28 2008, 04:43 PM |

They will call your working to confirm that u are working there (they might call your boss to verify too).
From what i heard, HSBC wont call u to let u know that ur cc has been approved, but they will call if ur cc application is rejected. u can use the online tracker application at their website to check the status of ur application. QUOTE(siutimtim @ Apr 29 2008, 12:37 PM) |

candy_chl:
if ur application is not submitted, hsbc online tracker will display that it is unable to track your application. if ur application is submitted and being processed, it will mention that's under review if ur application is approved, it will mention that it is sending your cc to your shortly. they will call u to verify that u are working at ur working place before they start process your application. if they havent call u at ur work place yet, chances are that ur application has not even been submitted yet. nvm just saw your reply. HSBC is pretty strict on cc application. maybe you have an ongoing application for homeloan or car loan (or something which parents put under ur name?). otherwise just go for the local bank's credit cards, if ur starting salary is high enough, u can even get gold card straight. i think u can do a normal IBG fund transfer to your citibank account. i never tried that before, but it should work. u need to pay extra fee for a IBG transaction though (RM1 maybe?) |

i dint know DA is also eligible for the 2 % rebate at petronas o.O. aiyah i have a DA master cc (which i got from southern bank ages ago). and i keep using cash to pay. QUOTE(tinkerbel @ May 2 2008, 06:50 PM) @MakNok, Just to double check, what's the min amount needed to be charged to HSBC before U qualify for that watch? Mine hasn't arrived and I'm wondering if I should make the call *grins* Am also thinking of cancelling this existing HSBC Gold credit card except I don't want the salesperson who took processed my application to lose out on his commission so am wondering if i should wait it out - does anyone know what's the wait time like? |

credit limit might not mean much, but let's put it this way
Dad issued a supp cc to his so that he can use it when there's emergency, but he's afraid that he will mis-use / lose it. so he put a RM 50 monthly limit on his kid's cc. And another scenario, u saw a laptop on dell's website and u need to buy it, later u realise that ur cc limit is short of a few hundred ringgit and the online offer will only last a few more hours. childish examples but oh well u get the picture |

if u buy notebooks online, i dont think there are many vendors that actually offer you direct debit from bank acc.
another more serious scenario, what if u get into an accident and need to deposit money immediately to get some urgent treatment at the hospital, and u just cant wait for ur medical card to be checked and approved? sometimes the "downpayment" is quite high and it'll be a letdown if the limit isnt high enough. siutimtim: just an example la *still recovering from insomnia. anyway, anyway can answer me about the 2% petrol rebate using da cc? i thought it only apply to co brand cimb cc. just checked wif my dad's cc statement...seems like Direct access master cards can get 2% petrol rebate at any petrol stations PLUS mesra points at petronas. im just wondering if this is the case, what's the use of launching cimb petronas co-brand cards.
