CC card limit depends on the individual credit worthiness and not necessary the type of card i.e. normal or gold or plat. If you maintain a good record and depending on your spending pattern, all banks will increase your CC limit as time goes by.

I have on two occasions rejected citibank preapproved Gold Card as i do not find any significant benefits compared to my Citibank Clear Card. Initially my Citibank Clear Card limit was only RM7K and now it is RM22K and that is not including an additional RM7K for installment plan.

Another example is of CC does not depend on type of card is when i got my RHB Evo CC (normal CC card not even Gold) last year i was shocked that the limit is RM40K.

I only go for cards that give me free annual fee waiver and don't really care for credit limit since i cannot even afford to max out any single one of my many CC.

EVO card limit is RM40k ? sure or not???? You earn RM20k per month is it brows.gif

They have online statement but not in the exact format as the printed version. It's something like Maybank2u online statement.

I too was shocked that RHB gave me RM40K limit for Evo which is even higher than my DA Plat but not higher than my other Plat cards. As i mentioned limit depends on one's credit worthiness.

The reason why i have a Evo is because the RHB teller asked me for a favour to fill in the application form and since it is free as long i use it once a month, i said ok. All i did was signed on the form, attached my name card and the teller photostated my other CC and she filled in the rest. No idea what she filled in, hahaha

Lets just say i am an uncle with a long credit history, my first local CC was from UOB and it was a Gold Card when i first started working back in the early 90's.

As i mentoned, my lowest credit limit now is my Citibank Clear card at RM22K and the initially limit was only RM7K few years back when i 1st got the card.

just as what babylabbit said "u must have good credit history.........wait long long...it will come...", and one day siutimtim, your normal CC limit may even be higher than RM40K.
