The system is very straight forward - about similar to the old Flexi Payment plan.

1. You buy anything you want - make sure it least falls within the minimum spending requirement.
2. Call up the call center and ask to convert your purchases into your desired plan. (Ideally once it's posted into your credit card account - easier if you have the Internet banking facility)
3. Call center will confirm conversion
4. Your next bill will have the a. Installment payment b. The once off interest fee.

That's all folks!  icon_rolleyes.gif

Want to know more about the interest rate.

Is it 100% confirm that all purchases that meet the minimum requirement can be converted to this payment plan?

Why you say so?

So far I feel Maybank Visa Debit meets all my needs. So I no longer need to apply for Petronas CC. But there's 1 thing I need to check with you guys, this is what I got from their FAQ:
Does it means everytime I use this Visa Debit to pump petrol, I will be charged RM150? Then they only reverse back the extra money to me after 3 holding days?

Thanks.

then it's totally hopeless for me to waive the RM12 already...
my account was opened in Penang... rclxub.gif

But afaik by default when you open account with maybank, they will give you basic savings account, which means they wont charge u annual atm fees but you are limited to certain numbers of withdrawals per month. While most other banks will give you normal savings account by default, which means you will be charged rm8 per year for atm card but have unlimited withdrawals per month.

But imo maybank monthly withdrawals is only 4 per month compared to PB which gives 8 free withdrawals per month for its BSA (i think).

Well people, July is coming and Bank Negara will be imposing new card interest rules. So, now it is time to decide which bank you want to stick with and do a balance transfer.

Took some time to dig through the old papers as the info is not available on the CIMB/Direct Access website yet

3 plans exist (Min Purchase Amount, No of monthly installments, One time Interest)

- RM 1K, 10, 2%
- RM 3K, 20, 4%
- RM 5K, 30, 6%

You can convert ANY of your purchases (local or abroad) to the plans above. Need to settle monthly installment in full or the outstanding amount will be charged 1.5% interest. The entire purchase amount will be taken out from your credit limit and will be gradually released back as you make the monthly installments.

Comparatively the old plan is (For Direct Access / CIMB)

- RM500, 12, 3% / RM500, 12, 3%
- RM3K, 24, 4.5% / RM3K, 24, 4%
- RM5K, 36, 6.5% / RM5K, 36, 5.5%

FYI, I'm a user of their old plan and they don't hold your entire credit limit till full payment like other banks do. The new plan should work on a similar basis. Where did you get this info that the bank hold your credit limit till paid in full ?
