For the mean time no but don't know in the future.

A gold card is having the same limit as the classic card and the offered limit is so based on last year with old salary figure. My salary has been adjusted so how. Logically, I could ask for a limit review.

I was rejected twice by Maybank in the last year for a limit increase too. My friend earns about 30% more than me, but his credit limit is double mine. Not sure what rule they are using. hmm.gif

I called again and asked for the reason behind the reject. They said that my card is new and less than a year. Crap!

I can increase my credit limit for my HSBC last time even though the card is new (roughly 6 to 9 months old).

Then just request for increase in credit limit after 1 year of usage. I think the banks need to see your spending habits before increasing your credit limit.
Higher credit limits may lead to higher debt..so be careful

Let it be unless I really need later. Being upset by them. They don't know how to please their customers. This is not my first dissatisfication with Maybank.

You also need the PIN for your credit card to start using the ATM first

I already have account at cimbclicks. Do I need to register a new account for credit card? Anyway to add the credit card into my existing account?

You can link both the accounts into CIMBClicks.
Mine was added together since SBB days... Maybe you can call CIMBclicks to enquire

when it comes to credit limit increase, the banks would normally increase (without us having to ask) judging from our spending and payment pattern. if you spend a lot and keep paying only 5% monthly, that doesnt score much on their credit rating. you must pay at least 30% of your remaining balance.

of all banks, i find hsbc is quite flexible in increasing credit limit. last year i have salary adjustment of RM 2000 and they increase my limit by another RM 6000 in addition to my existing limit. once in awhile, show them you are able to afford to pay by paying your bill in full.

So if you always pay in full, the increase of limit should be given OK easily ?

I'm sure Citibank doesn't

They said they have policy. Credit limit increase will only be done every 1/2 year and based on proper documents

But then I might be wrong cause my current limit is quite high already, maybe the higher you have the more diff you get increase

Nope, u can keep the treatpoints and continue to accumulate.

Its easier if u have banking account with them, in this case your treatpoints are linked to your banking account.
