Assume credit limit rm6000.

You buy something rm6000, pay 12 mths at rm500

month CC_balance_available**
1 0
2 500
3 1000
4 1500
5 2000
6 2500
7 3000
8 3500
9 4000
10 4500
11 5000
12 5500
13 6000

** Balance available for you to swipe for other things

By month 13, you will have all 6k credit limit back.

e.g. if you want to buy 4k by installment again, you can't do it at month 8, as you have 3.5k credit limit only. However, you can buy in month 9. Then you 6k will fully used up again.

Geez u making it too hard for him to understand..

The total amount of your installment price will be deducted from your credit limit and it will only be released every month.

Hello guys,

I would like to apply for Maybank Petronas CC, but the problem here is that my Maybank savings account is not so active (since my primary account is CIMB).

Is there any possibility that my application will be rejected due tu my savings account is not that active?

Thanks  smile.gif

That won't be a consideration factor of the approval of your application. Other factors like annual income weigh higher.

This is not so true for me. My application for Petronas-MBB Visa CC takes so long (reaching 2 weeks) even though I got MBB Visa Classic.
*
I was talking to a credit card processing officer today (was checking on the status of my Maybank Petronas Visa card application) and she told me they have received so many applications that processing time will stretch to 3 weeks from the normal 2 weeks. So if you have applied for one..please be patient wink.gif

Certain banks practice different policies.

For example if you have a Citibank card with RM6000 credit limit, buys something @ RM6000 on installment.
- might as well you keep you card for the next 12 months because Citibank locks the entire RM6000 credit limit out and leaving you with RM0 limit for other purchases.

DA / CIMB cards however assumes the calculations as what cute_boboi has mentioned.

Bottom line .... check with bank how do they calculate the balance of your credit limit once you take up an installment plan.

bro, why the zing card? alamak.. when you  they charge RM2 per auto-reload. and per auto-reload it's value RM100. futhermore you can't use auto-reload on smart tag lane.

last time i got it with my maybank cc. i used it a few times until it autoreload for me. and i think it's worthless to have this kinda of card. no point letting them charge RM2 everytime your balance falls below RM50.
*
hmmm sounds not so good .... whats the point if it can auto reload in smart tag la doh.gif ... za douz ... they charge rm2 is ok with me .. since when i reload at the atm it also charge me rm1 .. liaw .. sad.gif

Just released that Maybank has approved my Petronas Visa CC yesterday without giving me a call.

There's no credit limit increase as it is sharing with my current classic card. Not making any sense that a gold card is having the same credit limit as a classic card.

They said that they won't be sending me the Zing card as I didn't tick that portion.

Requested them to send the card to the nearest branch for pickup.

I asked but they didn't provide me with the reason. I told them that the credit limit offered last year is based on last year payslip and for this application, I have submitted new payslip. They asked me to submit a credit limit increase application.

quit easy for apllying cim cc.. just provides them with copies of latest salary slip..

but from what i can see..there's a lot of document that must be submitted with the Maybank Petronas CC..such as:
1.IC copy
2.Latest 2 mth salary slips
3.Latest 3mths Account statements

is it necessary to submit all oh these docs ?
