Unable to sustain at that rate 4%.
From 1 April to 30 June 2024, it's 3.8% profit per annum, and with high liquidity, why not try RIZE ?

am sure u already aware the past issues in previous topic.

The CS would call you & confirm if indeed you doing transfer.... Security features in place...

So any scammer or hacker don't get your money easily 😁

Honestly there is no way to maintain 100% about the same topic, obviously there will be side track as we discuss or compare with other products.

By locking or deleting (was it deleted?), we loose some information shared earlier

From what I heard...

BNM would instead maintain the current rates....

Not to disturb the current situation & make it worse especially those in debts with banks & financial institution 😁

Best we can hope for, is Rize to maintain the current rates & not reduce it later....

Didn’t even know they waived it. Thanks.

Up until Raya I was still transferring 4999.99 x 10. My protest over being charged to move my money.

I guess I’m not the only one. And end up that just creates more unnecessary load on their service. I’ve been using Rize since its early days. I can only say it does not inspire confidence and reliability. There were mission critical times when I couldn’t access my money and their CS response was to ignore my calls because they do not have a solution.

My personal experience and view is that they behave unlike any other bank in Malaysia, once promo over and no reason to stay, I won’t use them at all.

So think twice if you plan to put all your money in there as your sole bank account. I keep some at GX and it has proven far more reliable and predictable.

Done few times transaction over 5k.
No fee imposed 🙏
Not sure it's temporary period or what.. don't see any official statement / announcement...

Rize actually depends on luck...
So far now looks okay... But I'm not really active...

More in GX bank nowadays 👌

Thanks to the 5% promo rate offered...

A bit stupid question.

GXBank, you have to put in pockets to get the 3/5% interest and not the savings account.

For rize, it mentions interest rate based on savings account. Does savings pot = savings account? Or don’t need to create savings pot, leave money in savings account is good enough to get the interest?

Bit unsure here… thanks

Correct, Rize is more straightforward, well base on what Grab history on their GrabFood (reduced reward without notice etc)
i don't believe in GXBank offering .
And that proves my point, their campaign stopped early HAHAHAHA
Soon they might even stop the 5% interest.

Grab is like HongLeong, stingy with their reward

retry later at different times

normal for bank cannot use duitnow service. issue could be from source bank or destination bank or paynet itself.

I was looking at the interest credited into my account, how come lesser than last month where at the beginning of Apr, I topped up additional Rm3k and no withdrawal. Thinking thinking, yah last month (Mar) was 4% and now Apr was 3.8% no wonder😅

Anyone having issues logging into Rize app today?
I keep getting "Unknown error, please try again" error message when I attempt to log in to check my balance.

The mobile app-only exclusivity also means I have no other way to check my account balance at the moment. It's frustrating being unable to access my own money.

faced the same issue yesterday, no issue today
should realise that this might be a 'norm' for rize by now lol.gif
previously would clear data, reinstall, etc
now just wait otherwise, there will be cooling-off period

It's norm for Rize...

Time to time got issues faced....

One word of advice... Don't depends on Rize 100%...
Have back ups like in GX Bank 💪

I uninstalled the app, and re-installed. Still the same "Unknown Error" message when trying to log on.

If it is still problematic tomorrow, I'll have to call them. But reading the stories of slow response time in this thread, dunno how long the accout will be inoperable blink.gif

Most of my spare funds was in Rize, but with GXB 5% promo, moved 50k there. Thankfully!

After 10 May, will not transfer GXB funds back to Rize, but will send it to KDI.

Pidm only works if the bank goes bust.

When the bank system problem, your fund may stuck one or two weeks. You may need the fund urgently but could not withdraw. Happened to Rize before.

Still "Unknown error, please try again" message.

Amazingly unreliable bank system. 2 or 3 days already. Aren't they working over the weekend to resolve it?

You meant you unable to log in? My last log in was on Saturday, I have no problem. Every now and then I will log in, to check whether my money still there 😅 but never encountered any problem for the last 2-3 months…

Ok, I see it’s related to transfer, then not sure as did not move any money for the last 2 months

Others also reported same problem past 3 days. Rize acknowledged the problem in reply to one of the posters here, and said they were looking into it since Friday or Saturday.

Meanwhile, the money is locked up.

Just curious for people here. Why Rize and not KDI? 3.8% vs 4%
*
KDI 4% is EIR after compounding for the whole year. so in actual is slightly lower than 4% daily. around 3.93% iirc

- rize offers flexibility can in-out-in-out instantly so the difference of lower 0.13% is negligible and its worth it for some (provided rize system no suddenly cuckoo or you unlucky to be affected when you actually need to depo/withdraw money)

KDI can technically withdraw same day, but not instantly to make payments so you have to wait for funds to enter at evening/night time. And still not guaranteed in case anything wrong with system. as per their TNC it says t+1, so can go up to next day as well.

- to some PIDM protection is important, rize is PIDM protected and KDI is not.
for me not so important cause Kenanga seems like a big enough company and wont suddenly go bust out of the blue.

You know right that 4% is actually not 4% whistling.gif
Typical marketing strategy...

Not to say it's not good... But we got our reason why not significant $$$ into KDI....

Another thing is Instant $$$ upon withdrawal.... If there's no issues to Rize system

And the well known Protection on the name of PIDM (actually not really main reason to celebrate, but just sake of giving some comfort to ourselves knowing the $$$ is protected)....

anyway rize not much action - they need to give some goodies / promo other than 3.8%

previously Rize -> GX , promo rate.
nw no promo 5% back to 3%.
so move back Rize 3.8%.

As for Rize,
i won once their RM300 campaign prize for incremental balance . tongue.gif

i dont have hlb SA  sweat.gif  sweat.gif , but my brother & sis in law got hlb SA and received the notification as well. So i tumpang them and put 50k each.

Rize really need to step it up lor. Losing customers for 3 months in a row dy. gx and now hlb back to back

Rize promote their 3.8% p.a "still the best rate in town".

seemed its no longer the case for another month or so whistling.gif whistling.gif

aeon/big pay require pin instead of password

Digital products of Parent Al Rajhi bank 😋

They don't have Digital Bank license issued by BNM

Their main aim is to harvest data of HNWI or those with $$$.... So in the end can offer full service of Parent Al Rajhi bank main products & services

Why not have both 😁

More is better

If one down, got another as back ups 👌

Has anyone noticed an increased frequency of unsuccessful/rejected transactions at RIZE which led to telephone verifications?

I experienced three rejected transactions all involving amounts less than RM 4000.

RIZE has also yet to introduce scheduled transfers.

Have therefore moved funds to AEON Bank which surprisingly offers scheduled transfers - this allows one to maximise interest returns by paying off credit cards on their due dates

I noticed Rize requires minimum rm10 in the account. What can I do to withdraw all out ? Need to close or do people normally just leave rm10 there ? Or just pay something with QR?

withdraw 70k x3 accounts in Rize and moved it to Aeon for 3.88%.
All 3 accounts now min balance RM10 only.

For April-May money went to GX, May-July money go to HLB and now June-August money go to Aeon.
Rize lose out on people's money for 5 months if nothing changes.. Rizeee you know what you should do if you want us to come back... brows.gif

btw the daily limit of 50k is per recipient is it? or per total account transactions per day?
Cause i sent 50k to 1 account and then tried 20k to another account and it went through, so total 70k withdraw out.

I was always under the impression that the 50k limit applies to total transactions per account. sweat.gif

banks in my experience so far refreshed 12am

send money out from Rize wee hours in morning
Now i always check recipient online or not.
if maintenance on i wont do it.

sudah kena, IBFT failed system pandai pandai convert to IBG transfer
money delayed

worse is recipient bank can even "reject" that money and takes time to reverse back to sender bank.
this i kena when transfering Duitnow from BI to PBB when PBB was offline.
called BI he said money already sent out to PBB
call PBB he said he didnt know money not received in system.
ended 2 days later money reversed back to BI account.

Not really 50 winners. I think based on every cardholder's transaction, earliest transactions get it.

I tried using my RIZE debit card for the first time just mow, transaction was rejected, with reason "do not approve" shocking.gif

Do we need to do something to activate the card?

Tried again in 2 transactions of 25k each. Both went through. smile.gif

No idea why they keep changing the single transaction limit, as and when.

By default, it is one of the security measure to safeguard your money to avoid scam / unauthorized transaction since the amount of RM 50,000 is quite big amount actually in a single transaction in a day for a savings account.

It now looks like all of us can create more than 3 saving pots, and somehow we CANNOT delete the completed / or incomplete pots. Considering that the Rize app has been around for over a couple of years now, these issues should've been fixed by now already.

I've considered RM600 phone with at least Android 13 but wouldn't they come pre-installed with adware, malware or spyware? What would you consider 'cheapo'?

I'm currently using a very outdated iPhone 7 with iOS 15 just for banking apps. However, eventually it will not work anymore.

Spyware?? Heck iphone also somehow got... It's called AI for your usage pattern.... Big data is good money....

Why is not my name?
Anyone here name Bobson Ong?

More reason not to move over to Aeon Bank as the additional 0.08% is not worth it since I am using 0.08% to buy a chance to a new BYD

aeon bank will only credit the profit by month end. if 3.88% quota run out they have no obligation to inform you. so the risk is there already

at least if credited daily, you know the next day

// Electrify Your Dreams with Rize! Bobson Ong drives away with a brand-new BYD Dolphin Premier Extended worth RM125,480!

Bobson, the excited grand prize winner of the campaign’s first phase (18 September 2023 – 31 March 2024), received his brand-new RM125,480 BYD DOLPHIN EV from alrajhi bank Malaysia Chief Executive Officer Syahrul Ishak at the Wing Hin Ventures BYD showroom in Balakong today.

“I’m so excited! It has a stylish and modern design with a great driving range,” Bobson said. “I can now play my part in reducing carbon emissions.”

Missed out on the grand prize? The second phase of the Electrify Your Dreams campaign is ongoing from 1 April 2024 to 30 November 2024. That means YOU have the chance to win a brand new BYD DOLPHIN EV * too. Plus, there are even monthly cash prizes of up to RM200* up for grabs.

As Bobson says “With Rize, you get an attractive profit rate and the chance to win an electric car!” What’s not to love? //

Just wondering if Rize's debit card has any superior benefits over say, GX Bank's?

I opened Rize account a moment ago and they just directed me to apply for a debit card...

Best is to keep your fund balance between rize and aeon
If I have like 20k in just rize I will transfer 10k to aeon
So now both rize and aeon have 10k each
Just in case I want to use money I still can access either one of them

Like seriously...

You better move some elsewhere..

Can consider GX bank as alternative option... AEON too, but that one also little buggy like Rize.... So better go safer option 😁

I use GX bank mostly for the 1% Cashback
Then I spit half half between Aeon and Rize

Last month I did RENTAS from Bank Islam to Rize amount 100k.

The transfer is not shown in my RIZE account but the account balance was updated later that day, and I was able to online transfer out 50k the same day.

The monthly statement which I just downloaded also does not show the 100k transferred in.

This is giving me jitters about transferring money in again via RENTAS, as there is no record of it in my account. shocking.gif

Anyone experienced this before?

Yeah.

But the point also is that AlRajhi Bank should provide full and complete records of all transactions.

Keep doing this few times...

Rize tag your account as suspicious / high risk watch list...

Then each time transaction would be on hold, CS would call you for verification 😔

My goodness, what a thing to say laugh.gif

I transferred 100k to Rize, then transfer 50k out to another bank for use.

If I RENTAS separately to two bank accounts, there would be 2 RENTAS charges to pay.

Nothing suspicious at all.

I would think other people do this as well.

Really will never be shown the RENTAS funds in?? So dangerous if we forget to check our balances before and after the "invisible" RENTAS funds is updated to our balance. The money could be siphoned off internally, given so many banking frauds these days. shocking.gif Need to complain to the call centre.

Another problem I encountered past week:

Online payment to stockbroker failed after I had approved it, reason "unable to process. please try again later". The payment was not shown in my transactions page, however, my balance was deducted. I recall some discussion in this forum that such funds would be returned later. Since I had to meet the settlement deadline, after checking with the stockbroker that they had not received the funds, I proceeded to make another online transfer for the same amount. This time it was successful.

Next morning, stockbroker called to inform that they had received 2 payments of the same amount! Why did RIZE allow the first payment to go through after confirming that it had failed? It so happened that I had another settlement to make the second day, so I just used the duplicate funds to offset.

Imagine if any recipient of such funds refuses to refund the duplicated payment to us?

Also disagree with RIZE for not making immediate refund of failed transactions. If I did not have enough funds, I would not have been able to make 2 payments, and would be subject to forced selling of stock the next day rclxub.gif

RIZE needs to buck up ! shakehead.gif

ya Rize system far from good
as long as it serves our purpose i use

if the system is good it wont overpay some and dont know about it.
good ones we take, bad ones we avoid

in your case perhaps transfer to another bank then pay stocks from bank
but no guarantee wont get same problem.
safer is pay one day earlier

Attempted to transfer out 50k and failed due to bank security checking. Can request to bypass security checks maximum 2 days duration. Getting difficult to transfer funds nowadays for all banks.

However funds transfered immediately received.

You need to perform 2 actions for 4% which isn't too difficult. Transfer in at least RM2k & spend RM500. Subsequently you can apply their One Visa Classic credit card for monthly RM500 spending with cashback.

Transferring in money can be settled by scheduled transfer every month. Then for spending, highly recommend you use their UOB One cards, easy to earn the cashback.

Would Al-Rajhi buy over the local operations

QUOTE
KUALA LUMPUR (July 31): Kuwait Finance House (Malaysia) Bhd (KFH Malaysia) announced on Wednesday that it has decided to voluntarily withdraw from the Malaysian market.

This confirms The Edge’s earlier report that the country’s first foreign Islamic lender is planning an exit from the country after 19 years of operation.

“KFH Malaysia is profitable and remains solvent as we approach this transition with a strong financial foundation, ensuring that all our commitments are met with the highest level of responsibility. Our primary focus is to facilitate a smooth transition, reflecting our deep appreciation for the business partnerships we have developed in Malaysia. We do not foresee any service disruptions to clients, employees, and partners,” said acting chief executive officer Ida Aizun Husin in a statement.

KFH Malaysia said the decision came following the group's international business strategic review to focus and expand in the Middle East.

To facilitate the transition, KFH Malaysia said it is exploring the potential sale of certain portfolio segments to prospective buyers.

Anyone knows how to activate the Rize card?

The card has been delivered but the status on my app shows "Registered" and when I click on it the card is shown as just being dispatched... (when it has arrived...)

Maybe I should contact customer service?

Call done. To be fair to al-Rajhi, their customer service is pretty friendly and seamless. Just have to press the button "2" twice (unlike some banks requiring you to type everything from IC number to TAC verification code)....

They send me an email asking me to submit the screenshots of the app and they will check with their backend office I guess.

Wow man Rize is damn fast.

The card status changed to delivered a moment ago. I activated the card by scanning it with my phone (to detect the card number printed at the back of the card), enter the PIN and job done.

Everything done in a single day, in just a few hours...

Lousy IT but great CS. Don't know what to say about this bank laugh.gif

Rize works fine this morning. Just that you first need to login with password, then second time and subsequent logins can use biometric data again.

No negative balance, money remained untouched.

Haha better than AEON Bank laugh.gif

Nope, nothing wrong with AEON. But I think for Rize's case, the incident was resolved yesterday night, it could be down to efficiency or pure luck that the issue happened late afternoon yesterday, so minimal disruption to users compared to AEON. AEON went down in the morning and lasted whole day...

I was never able to find a way to do that, so ended up scheduling everything from my other bank account and once in a while manually transfer lump sum from Rize.

Since UOB has extended the 4% to 200k amount I rather just leave all funds in UOB though. 4>3.8.

i think its normal for those account that rarely move big amount money and get flagged by system for suddenly doing it..

better safe than sorry. Just call them up and ask them to authorize the transaction, no big deal.

Just registered to Rize 2 days ago, topped up the RM20 minimum deposit from my GXbank. Until now no news.

Is Rize account approval really this slow? Because when I registered for GX and Aeon it was near-instant.

Not a good look for this "digital bank" at all.

Just gave them a call.

Told me they don't accept deposit from GXBank or any digital bank or apps, only from traditional bank. So I deposited another RM20, this time from my Maybank account.

Now they ask me to wait 3-5 working days for the account approval to go through. Really Rize? Already wait long now want me to wait some more?

Should have told me from the start inside the app not to deposit with digital bank. Could have saved me all this trouble.

At least the CS agents are friendly and helpful.

*
We had some discussion a couple of months ago about Rize not showing the Inward RENTAS transactions either in the app or in the monthly statement, although the account balance is updated to include the inward funds.

Today I did another RENTAS from Bank Islam to RIZE.

Happy to inform that this time, the inward fund transaction is recorded in the app. No doubt it will also be recorded in the upcoming monthly statement.

There must be RIZE staff in this forum tongue.gif . Anyway, thanks for taking note and making the necessary system amendments. thumbsup.gif

However it took 6 hours from the time of transaction to time of credit. Don't know whether the longer transit time is due to BIMB or Rize, as it normally takes 2 hours +/- with other banks.

With GXB rate down to only 2% on 1 October, we can expect Rize to drop their promo rates as well. Even 3.5% would seem optimistic?

You ain't see nothing yet tongue.gif

In December last year all hell broke lose and people's money were stuck for weeks and couldn't be withdrawn laugh.gif

AEON's pandemonium lasted for a little shorter, like within 24 hours.

GX Bank not yet encountered any issue thus far, the most steady of all 3 digital banks.

*
At the least Rize PIDM protected so still okok la. Kasi chance lor wink.gif

I'll have to agree, GX Bank UI/UX experience memang top notch

I'll still keep some money inside next month smile.gif

How about your experience with AEON and Boost?

I don't use Boost, can't comment anything. The jars come with too many conditions, I need no frills accounts like GX, AEON or Rize...

AEON has been great in the past month, except that sudden 24 hour blackout period... as long as you spread your money evenly among the banks I think it should be fine.

transferred the rm20 from gx bank.
can see already in rize acc but acc still stuck at topup page only.

They don't accept GX bank, or any other digital bank/apps as first time deposit. It has to come from a traditional bank.

Rize & Al-Rajhi is "different"

Even you try go branch counter, the staff reject you. Says it's different & all digital base.... Not related to them at all (system cannot access)

DuitNow is free...

But if one were to use your bank ATM to make instant transfer... Up to 5k is FOC, more need to pay... I think 50c or rm1 like that per transaction 🙏

They finally approved my account after making me wait for 2 weeks.

But now they want to close it? No reason given at all.

Why? Because I initially deposited with GX? Or because I used an email other than Gmail? Now they flagged me as suspicious?

Whatever. I don't want to do business with such a slow bank with garbage UI anyway.

Just another crappy old-school traditional bank pretending to be digital.

I'm sticking with GX.

why you didn't transfer using the common banks like tiger bank, sotong & etc earlier?

I think transferring from a digital bank (GX, AEON, etc) to another might flag suspicious activity on their end?
whereas transfer from common banks much more justified and bring confidence.

anyway, there are still AEON (0.88% + 3% saving pot) and GX 2%.

just my 2 cents. icon_rolleyes.gif

Dunno if that deserves applause, for me is way too sensitive, even transfer to my own account will get blocked (transfer before but not saved). And the app doesn't inform you to call CS, just that failed.

For me yes, i rather strict sensitive detection INSTEAD of loose.
Strict detection will lead to frustruation yes
But loose will lead to ACTUAL loss.

Why would it be drastic? Have other banks FD and savings promo dropped a lot since FED cut?

RIZE also has a history of no more than 20 bp cut each reduction.

I'm trying to be positive laugh.gif

If they just wanted to mine names, yeah, maybe they have achieved something.

But most of us are in for their high savings rates, and will move our funds out if their rates are no longer competitive. If they don't mind losing a big chunk of their deposits... hmm.gif

My biggest question is...

How long can they give high interest rates? In the end, they need to reduce also...

Cannot be forever high rates....

And another 2 digital bank not yet on board.... Somehow sure would lose deposit & customers...

My Rize account finally closed today. They sent me back my RM40 + 12 cents interest back to my GXBank account.

user posted image

To those of you suggesting my name blacklisted, nope that's not it. I registered to many banks online and offline already, no problems whatsoever. This is the first time something like this happen.

I think the mistake I did is first depositing with GXBank. Their system then flagged me as suspicious and the staff too lazy to do anything despite me depositing for a second time with Maybank, when instructed to do so by customer support.

The Rize app should have a warning beforehand - no digital banks for first time deposit. AEON bank app has this warning, I heeded it and that's why I had no problems registering to AEON bank.

i think mayb 3.6% looking at their trend.
as Tng Go+ is offering 3.41%.

so they need to offer more than that to be one of the best rate tongue.gif

would be good rates..

but personally it's not sustainable for long time... they really needed to reduce rates... cannot burn money anymore... all banks sure got limits on how much money they can burn to capture market...

I meant initially...

Now they might already achieve their target numbers...

Don't need to burn more money...

Since they offer way before than GX Bank...

Not the 5 official digital bank... But they the first in malaysia...

If there is a big rush of transfers out tmr, dunno if their creaky system can cope, based on past experience. hmm.gif
