I have been updated to 1 gbps last weekend.. Today I experienced some slowdown on wifi..mine installed bridge mode.. So I test with lan cable.. Also I get 800 instead of 1gbps...already restart devices.. Same.. Any settings I can adjust to get higher stable connection?

lan can get full speed? If lan can get full speed maybe u can change your wifi channel. Download wifi analyzer and look for a channel that is not congested.

I called the support to reset the port and the problem solved but already happen more than 3 times. I'm sure the problem will come back tomorrow.

Well that make other internet temporarily slow just let 2Gbps customer happy with the speedtest 😬

be sure test the speed everyday.

on my experience, when some speed boost, just call to reset the port, then I can use 90MB/s upload for a day then it back to 50MB/s after that.

After a week of upgrade to 1gbps, the connection had been stable, no disconnection or speed drop. In fact prior to upgrade my connection also stable with no issue, it can remain connected for weeks until I manually reboot Asus router one a while just to refresh the connection.
*
What is your speedtest result? Do you manage to get 1Gbps+ ?

My Asus router internal Speedtest buggy one cannot get 1gbps. An my Asus router no more sparem2.5g port for me to test. Now my Speedtest on 1gbps port is 950mbps. I am ok la with this until I upgrade to a better router with more 2.5g port.

I always make complain the speed i subscribed is not for viewing TheStar or Lowyat website. I don't need 1Gbps to view local site.

After month with combo box. Now I had a issue.
When I did speed test my speed limit to 300mbps download and 70mbps upload most of times. I suspect my router had issue but no. But combo box is culprit after turn off and on combo box now speed is up 940mbps. This happens about 1am. Now morning about 10.40am I tried speed test again still issues presist after restart combo box again speed up again.

Don't know does combo box throttle while warm or just bug for port side. But feel warm bit compared to Fiberhome ONU to be honest

All combo box will be warmer than a pure ONU, it's expected since they are a proper router

So it might be heat throttle or just port issue?

Mine quite warm too compared to the old white huawei modem or even my asus tuf router. But so far my speed is consistent. I do have the cheap china made so called laptop cooler underneath both device including my router. Because my second floor can get to near hell hot temp on some days lol. So each time your restart the onr speed back to normal?

Never open your router to the general internet unless absolutely necessary. If you REALLY need access, setup a local VPN to do this

Yupe can.

I'm running dual WAN on my router. Bridge mode set up is pretty straight forward.

VOIP remains on the combo box. (Skyworth GN630V)

Hihi, can you teach how to setup bridge mode on this skyworth box? I tried to change the settings to bridge mode same like what you have shown but my deco failed to connect via PPPoE. Is there anything else to set at the skyworth box?

Wish to make this a pure ONU box only.

Thank you!

I'm no expert on this. Anyway, I'll share what I did and you try to emulate it and see if this would solve your issue.

1. Leave the LAN1 port empty as we need to use it to connect via LAN cable to your personal router.

2. Set the Skyworth combo box as your main router and connect it to the internet.

3. Login to your Skyworth combo box with IP 192.168.0.1 and go to the Network > WAN > select 'Mode: Bridge'

4. Connect using LAN cable from Skyworth combo box LAN1 port to your personal router WAN port.

5. Have a device connect to your Deco router and login to your TP Link Deco router IP (I'm not familiar with TP Link), set up Unifi PPPOE as usual.

6. After a while, internet connection should be established at this point.

For 3. After selecting mode: Bridge, the bottom part do i also choose Bridge: PPPoE_Bridged?

After that I click confirm and restart the combo box. Then connect lan cable from wan port of Skyworth combo to Lan 1 Deco. And setup from Deco using PPPoE.

I’ll try again and update here.

Thanks ya!

Yes correct.

After that I click confirm and restart the combo box. No need to restart the combo box. Then connect lan cable from wan port of Skyworth combo to Lan 1 Deco. Your Deco router, you pluck the LAN cable into WAN port (not LAN1 port) And setup from Deco using PPPoE.

I’ll try again and update here.

Thanks ya!
