managed to get 218.xxx IP and most sites are working fine except china sites being slow.

netflix, tonton, anydesk and google home cant use...

Thank goodness, I thought it was an issue with my router; it's a Unifi problem, fortunately.

Look like the problem for mihoyo's JP server is a sign, then also china mobile with high latency at SG last also weeks.

Guess will slowly recover at 1 AM, like usual.

can confirmed, my twitch experience is back to normal.

Always like this, trigger QoS as more people browsing at 10 AM morning, sometimes kill China traffic at 12 PM, getting higher and higher QoS over time, then boom at night 7 PM where everyone at home, as they start not using data(during office time) but UniFi/WiFi.

Get reset after a lot of people going rest during 1 AM, now moving earlier as the quota of this QoS is getting lower.
or I should said, easy to trigger as more people getting 100M high speed, compare with 30M.

Before that just applied to Google local ISP(yes, 480KBps, until Google having some deals with TM) + China traffic, then after famous of CloudFlare, moving to whole SG traffic as well.
This rule applied since Streamyx era, then went away for UniFi(only UniFi customer get benefit) showing up, after the famous of free speed upgrade, the effect of QoS came back to UniFi, as Streamyx user start moving to UniFi.

The slowness of IPv6(mostly for upload) for Google also observed during that time(MEGA drive get the most hit, last for years), which is why got the famous "disable IPv6 to speed up the internet" showing up in Lowyat forum.

If you wanna me guess why it trigger heavy yesterday?
There is 1 thing I know might trigger, 1 famous activity happen during night yesterday, bilibili livestream about the HSR's CNY Festival, the video server is at Amazon SG, only it use Maxis MY CDN if you doing something, which already having high latency by going local, but at least stable than Amazon...

As it is Sunday, the traffic should be local Chinese + Student + Oversea Chinese(SG? also those oversea Chinese getting the traffic wrongly and going to Amazon SG via MY) watching live stream, taking it down heavy.

But it might also be DDoS traffic la, not like MY don't have a lot of computer infected as BOT, going to printer shop, then going back, see your Pendrive got worm infected or not...

Hi.....Would like to hear from you all whether Unifi or maxis fibre is better in term of stability, browsing experience. Want to install for my new house. My area has both maxis and unifi.

100 or 300mbps will do coz we dont play games, mainly for TV box, youtube, netflix, some browsing, social media.

I had unifi at home and Maxis in both office and restaurant both are reliable. But technical support wise unifi far better they guarantee 24 hours fix if I report last night about my internet down next day they showed up but Maxis took sweet about 2-4days to come fix

ha ha ha i disable IPv6 also.

Some assholes stole some unifi copper cards (?) from my building on 31st Dec. unifi has been down until now.

Chased almost every day still nothing. Sigh

Maybe it's time to consider getting wireless instead

And the cost of copper is getting higher hence why TM is taking some time to get them replaced as they would rather plan for Fiber replacement instead of reusing copper

Yesterday confirm incident, normally u will just feel slow,and still usable.

Maxis stability is 9/10. Works for everything I do, and the mainly British or western international websites I visit.

But yes, if no issue maxis is far better, but if you gigabit UNIFI have 12 hour restoration promise, but id rather have stable internet instead of fast fixing, but that is just my preference.

I remember when I was with unifi, so exited to play game with friends after a long time and I always couldn’t login or need to try multiple times. Everyday also got issue, at least two websites a day I tried to visit would refuse. No issue on maxis

I haven't received my speed upgrade yet. Worst, the notice even went missing.

If your area has very good 5g coverage, invest in a good 5g modem and subscribe plan like U Home 68.
