QUOTE(klch87 @ Aug 18 2020, 10:51 AM) to me, yes, to the point that they make me like typing on them more.the best part of mkb modding is customization, from a vast selection of parts and modifications. that's one of the main reasons i build custom keyboards based on different parts and keyboard constructions. they all have different feels and sound, all made based on my own preferences. |

QUOTE(irsyadfy @ Aug 18 2020, 11:29 AM) yes for one reason in many other reason of having a mkb. as for me, i have a mkb bcoz how it feels better than a membrane. and also it "reacts" better in a sense u dont have to bottom out every keystroke to register a keystroke. this reason helps u both in typing and gaming. the beauty of mkb is u can fine tune the feels of typing the way u like it. the more u fine tune it, the better it gets. (previously i don't like clear housings, and i thought jwk housings were similar to gat ink's. however after testing out both, i like jwk's more) |

Hi sifus, I looking for 87 keys keyboard like AJAZZ AK33 which have standalone F1~F12 button but compact like 71keys keyboard.
The reason I want to skip AK33 if that I read the keycap size is not standard... Can recommend any other brand/model similar to such design? |

QUOTE(Sone Shin @ Aug 23 2020, 10:04 AM) Hi sifus, I looking for 87 keys keyboard like AJAZZ AK33 which have standalone F1~F12 button but compact like 71keys keyboard. The layout/form factor you are looking at is called 75%. It really uses some non standard keycaps, specifically a 1.75U Right Shift and sometimes 3x 1U (some layouts use 2x 1.5U so that they can use standard keycaps but you are limited to only 2) keys to the right of spacebar.....but the AJAZZ AK33 has even weirder keycaps than a "normal" 75%.The reason I want to skip AK33 if that I read the keycap size is not standard... Can recommend any other brand/model similar to such design? 75% kits are very popular with the community these days and there are lots of options if you want to build one. But if you want to buy one prebuilt and cheapish (based on the fact you are looking at AJAZZ), this might work for you: https://www.lazada.com.my/products/keycool-...2veVad&search=1 |

But will take note on the keycap size when I getting one. |

Hi everyone, I have a budget of about RM200 and I am looking to get a mechanical that can swap between wired/wireless mode like the Anne Pro 2.
Actually considered the Anne Pro 2 but it is out of my budget and this is rather urgent for me. Any suggestions? |

My rojak ID80 build with mixture of different Kailh switches namely Copper, Silver, Box Burn Orange and Box Dark Yellow. I should've picked up some Box Pale Blue.
![]() This is my first custom mech, I only lube the stabs, too lazy to even think of lubing the switches. ![]() Part of the reason of getting a custom is because of these beautiful key caps, I really love those classic looking fonts. They are really hard to getting use to coming from OEM profile. This post has been edited by edmund_yung: Aug 26 2020, 03:02 AM |

Need recommendation on stabs.
Currently have cherry pcb screw ins on a 64. Thinking of building a 84 quiet keyboard with Sakurios. Current cherry stabs go down nice and quietly but when it tops out on the upstroke there's a "thocc" on the spacebar which I am trying to avoid if not too expensive. Durgod, everglide or any other reco? What does the gold plated stab wire do? |

QUOTE(krayden @ Aug 29 2020, 04:33 PM) Need recommendation on stabs. Would say Everglide, but they have an issue with wires popping out sometimes. You just gotta match the wires to the housings to see which side fits better. I would say it's a manufacturing tolerance issue.Currently have cherry pcb screw ins on a 64.
