My rojak ID80 build with mixture of different Kailh switches namely Copper, Silver, Box Burn Orange and Box Dark Yellow. I should've picked up some Box Pale Blue. This is my first custom mech, I only lube the stabs, too lazy to even think of lubing the switches. Part of the reason of getting a custom is because of these beautiful key caps, I really love those classic looking fonts. They are really hard to getting use to coming from OEM profile. Hi anyone got extra Kailh Box Orange switch for sale? I need one (1) piece, I already have 25, just need one more for the Alphas.
I'm also open to trade it with Kailh Copper, Silve, Box Pale Blue and Box Yellow..

QUOTE(iZuDeeN @ Apr 8 2021, 09:34 PM) anyone here using o-ring mod to dampen sound on their kb? I don't use either. I find most of the sound made by me during typing is when the key bounced back up. I'm using Kailh Speed Copper + SA profile keycap This post has been edited by edmund_yung: Apr 9 2021, 11:15 AM

QUOTE(iZuDeeN @ Apr 9 2021, 11:47 AM) there is 2 sound generated.. when press (tik) and when depress (tok) sound.. the pressing is the one that cause the higher frequency sound.. im trying to minimize this actualy.. thats why i saw vew videos propose to use Oring and sound absorbing pad on the casing hmmmpp... Have you tried Cherry Silent Red? They seem quiet when bottom hard. I guess maybe I don't bottom the keys that hard when I type so I wasn't affected by the bottoming sound.

QUOTE(Currylaksa @ Apr 15 2021, 01:40 PM) Some batches of Cherry Silents are super scratchy, until almost feel like tactile Thanks. I'm not into Cherry switches or testing many switches in general so I'm not very sure.

I'm using ID80 V1, added the foam top of PCB, but not interested in the bottom plastic cover. I'm more interested in mixing the switches around, building it mainly for FPS gaming and using it as daily driver.
