Been using it since mid Dec..
so far so good.
Average can get 15-30mbps most of the times.
Midnight can get higher.
I signed the sim only package, because I have a HUAWEI b618.
*
I am interested in this package too.
The Sim only package will provide you with a sim card only?
Is the sim card working in mobile phone?

LOL. I can't get information from multiple source??
Between there is a difference of unifi air and unifi mobile, at least this is shown on their coverage (I have double confirmed with the tmp
Point)

Does anyone have any information on the issue of the supply of the B618 routers?

I was put on the waiting list on first week on Jan and they said probably 2-3 weeks.

I went back to TM point on Fri and they said probably another month and their HQ didn't tell them when routers will be back in stock

In Georgetown, Penang if location is relevant.

I just moved to a new area with no Unifi coverage. So no choice but to subscribe for Unifi Air although the area is not inside the coverage area. I tested the connection with my brother's Unifi Air's device so i am aware of the connection speed is quite ok. Surprisingly the TM staff just let me register for Unifi Air with my address outside the official coverage area but just repeatedly warn me that any connection and coverage issue they will not entertain if i come back to complain later. Got a new B618 on the spot without any issue. I stay in JB area.

And to my pleasant surprise, the Unifi Air connection is actually not bad. Can still play online game like Apex Legend (ping around 60-100ms). But the connection can be a little spiky once in a while.

So when you are inside non Unifi Air coverage area, could you please check your network service provider is still under Unifi or Celcom?
Sometimes I came across some ppl say if don't have unifi coverage area, it will roam to Celcom network... But I'm not sure 3G or 4G.. Perhaps you can check it too also for your knowledge too..

Correct me if I'm wrong...

Can share how to check inside the Huawei B618 modem? hmm.gif I din see any Celcom wording inside the UI of the modem anywhere. Only can see Unifi.

And the speed just bump up to 45-48mbps (from TM speedtest) since yesterday from average 20-25mbps before yesterday. Dunno this speed bump will last or not. sweat.gif

it's literally the first thing u see big font "Unifi(signal bar)" or "(Signalbar with 3G/4G/4G+ underneath) Unifi" then it's running under unifi tower not celcom

Thanks for your explanation.
So far I did not have B618 modem, still funding some budget of that because it's over-pricing now..

Another thing, if your network service showed "502153" not showing Unifi or celcom at all, that means it's still part under unifi tower.

4G is TM unifi webe 50211 502153
3G 2G is Celcom

very simple

setting network to 4G LTE only it will stay 4G LTE or no service.

Unifi roaming to celcom 4G is fake news.

I sign up for the 24 months contract so the B618 is free. Most likely mine is under Unifi.

Eventually I compare the Air plan and the mobile 59 (unlimited) plan to see whether any different for the average internet speed.
But so far I'm using bebas plan (unlimited) to connected my 3 devices. It occasionally satisfaction of internet speed up to 8mbps, but sometimes it's not..

I'm not sure the internet slow down because my modem getting hot due to keep connections with 3 devices or not.
Planning to minimize the mth subscriptions but still maintain for unlimited plan..

Just check inside the Huawei B618, the modem is connected to "4G LTE Unifi", so i think it is Unifi own network, not using Celcom network.

Yes, i think using a better router will improve the quality of the connection. I use back my Asus RT-AC88 as router and it seems to give a more stable connections. But no scientific proof, just my "feel" when playing Apex Legend, much less laggy than connect directly to the modem's LAN port. thumbup.gif

I asked at tmpoint, the customer service confirmed with their managers and told me that because I'm still waiting my home address to be installed with unifi fibre (maybe take few months), I can apply for the unifi air with modem (2 years contract). When they install the fibre to my house, it is considered as an upgrade over unifi air and i can return the unifi air modem and the contract will be voided as i would continue new 2 years contract with unifi fibre, the catch is it must be my account and at both registered at the same house address. Anybody of you has experienced something like this?

It seems TM just upgraded their LTE at my area to band 40 now from the previous band 5 only.

Just sharing. Subscribed to unifi air last week. plugged into B310 and getting 50Mbps download. Since its new user, guess they haven't set throttling or sort (hopefully not). Is 50 Mbps the highest it can go? Tot of adding an external LTE antenna.
