Just sharing. Subscribed to unifi air last week. plugged into B310 and getting 50Mbps download. Since its new user, guess they haven't set throttling or sort (hopefully not). Is 50 Mbps the highest it can go? Tot of adding an external LTE antenna.

QUOTE(andcorps @ Feb 17 2020, 10:04 PM) how u guys manage to get 50Mbps else the limit is 20Mbps? Limit? Where did this come from? If 20Mbps, the wording seen is 'average speed'.

All,
Currently using b310 with unifi air. Locked to B38 and getting around 50Mbps/3Mbps @ 22-28 SINR.
Now itching seeing this B818 that from specs looks interesting. Want to get feedback from current user of B818, how much difference would I get upgrading to this unit?

QUOTE(xclope @ Aug 11 2020, 02:07 AM) B818 another monster from huawei. Some said b618 much better in term of wifi strength but b818 speed maybe bit faster than b618. Before this im using zte from TM. Zte Suck.. i only can get 6-12mbps on daytime. 30mbps at 3am. Bought b818 the speed is double then zte.. Whoever want to subscribe unifi air just take the sim package and buy basic modem like b310. Price around 300-400.saving yoir life for 24month contract. If you have a budget go for b618 or b818 Yea...the B310 is giving download, but only if i locked it to B38. No B5 supported, but I doubt it will be better than B38 @ 40Mbps (average). Same observed on B40. But I'm ok with the download speed. Main pain is the upload, average about 2-3Mbps. But if this is the best that Unifi Air gives for upload, then no point to upgrade the box to B818.

Hi all,
Thanks for the input. If the upload will not increase much, then will stick to current box until better package option appears. No contract and unlimited quota (so far so good) below RM 100 a month with average 40mbps download will have to do.
At least with no contract, jumping ship in the future will be much easier. 🤞
