I gonna make a shit prediction: risk assets like cryptos and tech stocks seem to be rather correlated, maybe when crypto crash later this year, it will take down ARK funds and cause a cycle of outflow - drop - outflow - drop.

By the time your cash is converted into USD and then invested into SA funds... any current indicator is already stale news... you'd need to be able to predict a few days into the future... a skill which not many people possess, including me 😆

The problems is that due SC regulation any deposit taking for DAX license holder has to be either FPX or JomPay or DD without instant clearance even on holidays

That is why buying direct you will have full control and for SA before the drop you will need to buy in only a certain week in order for you to reap on a good entry price

Today SA not update portfolio values?

I felt this week SA update is really slow especially on DD and Porfolio performance

But I think is Raya holiday for Malaysia SA.

But why can't they update automatically just using computer program system or even AI thing?

They still need human to key in data by hands nowadays? Holiday no people work so no update?

All system should work 7/24 non-stop and real-time nowadays.

I wish SA implement real-time or hourly updates. 😴

It is because they do not have the access directly to the trustee brokerage account during off Malaysia working hours

If you understand how trustee works then you know why you should buy ETFs directly

The lag in SA is noticeable because it involves brokerage, trustee and banks in order for them to work

The only for SA to have live data on markets they would have to get brokerage license which is difficult to get

Won’t happen unless they are able to get offshore brokerage license which is 0% chance in Malaysia

And their business model is advisory not trading

speaking of SA business time, i wish they work based on US market, instead of following local market holiday but in invest in US ETFs.
