QUOTE(inquiries @ Nov 21 2019, 11:10 AM) Track record for myTheo (albeit limited) is not looking well yet, perhaps they still need time to chunk in the data or tweak algorithm etc yeah. Wahed returns the best out of the 3 currently.

QUOTE(neverfap @ Nov 26 2019, 11:33 PM) I think it's best to just deposit and leave it as it is. It's passive investment afterall No need to track it The return improve is becoz of a huge gain in yesterday's us market and myr weakened against usd I mean there was not much earned initially. But everytime i put a deposit then got immediate earnings.

QUOTE(balf @ Dec 6 2019, 11:16 AM) if u have large amount of fund to be invested in robot advisor, better separate to different RA, where each RA not invest more than 100k. 100k is the amount that you can claim in case if any of these SEC approved RA got issue. Ah good to know. Don't have that kind of money yet to worry about this though

QUOTE(jonoave @ Dec 10 2019, 10:34 PM) But don't forget to keep some aside for emergency fund and not tie up all your money in investment. You can put aside the money in some FD to gain a bit more interest, but it should be easily accessible. You can withdraw anytime with SA no issue and much higher returns than FD. better to apply credit card with high limit and big pay for emergency money to be used in 24 hours

QUOTE(zenquix @ Dec 11 2019, 11:15 AM) OOT i don't think leveraging on "pseudo-cash advance" is a good advice Funds in stashaway or other robo advisers needs some time to be withdrawn. Around 3 business days? if you need emergency cash up to RM10,000 that's the cheapest method if use Big Pay to withdraw.

QUOTE(honsiong @ Dec 11 2019, 01:24 PM) StashAway - Withdraw anytime, then need some time to be withdrawn OK... you are contradicting yourself. BigPay is not credit card, there is no credit limit, you can't do cash advance with it, it does not pay interest either. Terrible advice, don't follow. Use your credit card to reload 10k to your BigPay and withdraw cash lah. Adoi. if you don't understand don't embarrass yourself. meanwhile you can withdraw your funds from StashAway which takes 2-3 days.

QUOTE(bokbokchai @ Dec 11 2019, 02:32 PM) And this way is good too cuz u can transfer your emergency cash amount into 0% Flexi installment if u can't pay back the huge amount in your next CC statement and leave your SA cash alone to grow. Exactly.. if you can get into some shit which requires large amount of cash and cannot use credit card then really damn unlucky. and don't talk about medical emergencies..if you do not have a medical card then you have no business investing in SA..

QUOTE(neverfap @ Dec 19 2019, 08:48 AM) This Everyone is happy now with the high or at least positive yield. If stashaway manage to continue this trend even in bear market, I will be genuinely impressed. Hopefully that'll be the case. DCA will be even more effective during bear market i think. can see your profit multiply once the market goes back to bull.

QUOTE(l4nc3k @ Dec 19 2019, 01:16 PM) DCA is to hedge yourself against the volatility of the market (bear, bull, flat, etc), and also a way to ensure you are always in the market - following the principle that “time in market > timing the market” Its a totally different approach vs. value investing, where one would try to identify whether or not an instrument is currently under/overvalued and only invest when its undervalued. Obviously if you can ‘time’ the bearish market (which might or might not happen), dumping in a large lump sum will be better than DCA. But of course this comes with higher risk, and also we never know when bearish market will actually occur. Remember there is no limit to a bullish market duration absolutely agree. therefore it doesnt matter what kind of market there. SA is meant to be long term.

Gains from SA & MyTheo dropped but Wahed only very slightly affected. Not sure if is delayed updates or the investment is still resilient.
