Simple withdrawal is 3 to 5 business days, dependant on the processing time of Eastspring Investments and StashAway both, and then after that GIRO processing time. With weekends and public holidays it can take a calendar week or longer, if you/Eastspring/StashAway transact after cutoff time(s) for respective services.

Future users should be aware of the withdrawal time for Simple before deciding whether Simple is appropriate for their needs and goals.

I'm not using simple but the regular profile.

At least 3 days (last time I withdraw), if holiday...... ๐Ÿ˜

So, i stick with others.

That is why if a MMF is not able to do T1 settlement means they are not liquid enough and wonโ€™t give better interest as well

Look at GO+ liquidity is there but interest below OPR meaning they are liquid but but lower returns

Regular is longer, takes 4 to 5 business days ๐Ÿคฃ it takes time to sell securities, convert funds, then wire funds to you

Agree, nowadays prefer using GO+ with bonus returns, Versa/SA taking too long to cash-out

How long do you want to put in simple?
How much do you want to put in simple?
What is the rate variance between simple n the "better" others?

If only 10k, if only for a month, if the variance is only 0.25%pa.....it is just abt rm2 variance a month....
Not sure abt others, but for me... I don't care much abt this rm2 a month, as long as it suit my shiok, simple, ease n quick of use
*
For me, I'm okay having few ks in Simple just so it's easier for me to do recurring transfer that does not clutter my bank transaction. And the returns in Simple, no matter how little, it's quite good actually - cuz it earns me dollars, and not losing money compared with my other RIs, lol...the irony.

QUOTE(windvind @ May 17 2021, 10:57 AM)
I guess same with me, i sort of needed money to pay my share.. Processing from 12th May until now. Market dropped so much in between then and now.
Still in processing and not sold yet.
*
My pek-chekness came from missing out on buying during market drop that week...but...it's okay, it is what it is.

Yeah...if holiday, really faint, lol...although I expected, but it does irks me sometimes, hehe...but I'm alright cuz I'm not trying to time market.

Indeed, those users that are very particular about timing, processing/waiting time, no patient type, they just need to find another alternative.

Hopefully bonus returns extend another 3 months otherwise Versa because next day settlement

SA simple forget about it because the underlying fund is not attractive at all with the slow settlement time

My SA 26% risk index invests 55% into equities sector (US), is this too high of allocation into one type of investment?

can you sleep peacefully at night?

for me, the only reason why I chose to let SA convert my RM into USD is to invest 100% into DJI and/or S&P500. Didn't realise some went into China

IMO, not really, because SA investments into ETFs which themselves are a basket of diversified stock picks.

To some this might seem like SA put too much into US-based equities, but if you look at the underlying ETFs' portfolios it's actually pretty balanced, at least in terms of sectors (small vs large cap, type of industry etc.).

Following is SA's description of the US Equities ETFs in SRI 26%, you can go look those up on other sites for more in depth reviews of their portfolio.

if your meaning safe meant to earn that sweet interests without seeing losses of your capital,....then try SA Simple.....

if your mean of "safe" meant no chance of losing your money,...then SA equity portfolio is NOT for you....for there are posting by forummer that complaint of losing money even for the SA lowest risk index portfolio...

Interest and safe is usually found in MOney market fund, fixed deposit. You can also buy some bonds, especially short term bonds which are usually less risky and offers higher than FD returns.

Beyond that please, start from page 1.
