Turned off IPv6 for him. Adjusted his wifi settings yet it still has issues. So just helped him called TM to check the port and line which is to be fixed today. Wonder what's the issue as well.![]() |

QUOTE(CocaCola2020 @ Feb 13 2019, 01:07 AM) Ya, was having the issue during midnight, some china website for watching drama and movies cannot be accessed. Can't even perform speedtest nor update app. Tried this morning, seems to be fine now. But been wondering what could be the cause, since the cable cut incident in Nov 18, I'm having such issue mayb once in every month, usually happened during midnight. |

QUOTE(lolzcalvin @ Feb 12 2019, 01:13 PM) my home unifi has been down since 2nd of Feb, I've called the unifi hotline everyday since then, complained everyday but no one seems to be taking any action except for giving dozens of excuses e.g. unifi server down, some cards from the server are spoiled, then the cable connecting to our home is out of order, then all of the sudden say my area is down. my technical report has been "in progress" for 11 days now. what to do? The entire company seems to be operated by a bunch of lazy asses. Has TM sent anyone to look at the cable going into your house? My neighbour's Unifi was down for 3 weeks when the installer for another house pulled out her optical cable from the FDP. It was apparently marked as Unused. No amount of remote troubleshooting in the first 2 weeks could find the cause of the problem. When TM sent a tech over, one look and they saw the problem. |

QUOTE(birain @ Feb 10 2019, 06:04 PM) if you got empty milo cans, can use 4-5 cans to make a single tower[between the cans, use cello tape to prevent the cans from falling down], and put your router on the top on the can. you will get 100% signal to upstairs. Just curious, does the tower assist / act as a giant antenna? Or was the intention to create the tower to elevate the router so it will be closer to the upper level? |

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Feb 12 2019, 10:13 PM) 1. Yes. Smart connect combines both the SSID of 2.4GHz and 5GHz and it gives the router the power to select which is better for your devices. TQ very much...SilentVampire...very much appreciated..2. Nope. You don't need IPv6 for now, and it won't affect anything. Same thing with wired connection? No amount of remote troubleshooting in the first 2 weeks could find the cause of the problem. When TM sent a tech over, one look and they saw the problem. I hate it when unifi is down because they will take too much time to troubleshoot. The SOP is they will check their end first. Reset the port and session.Once confirmed all is OK then they will check at customer end. If you're VIP or some famous person, then higher chances it will get solved in 1 day. The problem is when u call, call center or live chat, there will be no update of the progress on their side.TM will say any inconvenience is regretted. The only way for them to come to your house instantly is stating that your fiber cable broke and pay the RM50 visiting fee. But then, they will not do the repairing if the task is dangerous or difficult. They need to call a contractor to do it. If you are lucky, you will get the available contractor to do the job or need to wait for another day. Lastly, no compensation will be given by default. If you have a faulty 12V PSU, use that for your BTU, make a new report, that'll get them to come over. |

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Feb 12 2019, 04:53 PM) oh, doesn't work. not surprised. they asked us to call 100 (which is what we did everyday) and told us to go to another "main" TMPoint which is even further from our home. service at its best. |
