Below is the price i saw from lzd.

RM258 TP-LINK Archer C9 AC1900
RM305 TP-LINK Archer A9 AC1900 MU-MIMO
RM418 TP-LINK Archer A10 AC2600 MU-MIMO
RM425 TP-LINK C2300 AC2300 MU-MIMO

RM235 D-LINK AC1900 DIR-878 MU-MIMO
RM375 D-Link AC2600 DIR-882 MU-MIMO

I also read some review and wonder why A9 is cheaper than A10 but the speed is better rclxub.gif

I use Archer C2300 with 300Mbps. WiFi signal quite good. Can get 150Mbps via 5Ghz for double storey house. Downstair easily 300Mbps around 7m distance. For 2.4Ghz max can get 100Mbps.

Let me rank the performance from best to the worst.

Archer C2300
Archer A10
Archer A9
Archer C9

It is really hard to be consistent when testing WiFi routers but the A10 is faster than A9 and comes with beefier specs too.

I don't recommend D-Link due to their firmware. No reasons to buy D-Link except when they are much cheaper than TP-Link.

if want wifi to be consistent use Access Point Business like Aruba or Ubiquiti Separately not depend on router itself ...

indeed, ceiling access point much better and more cheaper. But he/she need to change tm stock router first, then combined with these access point. Tplink also have ceiling access point too if he/she prefer friendly Gui and easy to setup. Like TP-Link EAP225 V3, Older version TP-Link EAP245.

Avoid d-link if want to use for main one. Their firmware too much lack. Plus, coverage not better than tp-link, this what from my experience using d-link and tp-link router. More Settings for tp-link but setting in d-link not much you can do. for speed, using dlink router not much consistent you can get lets say you using wifi even you sit beside your router. This is how i felt with d-link & tp-link router. if want buy tp-link just get the latest version like v2, v3 or v4, tp-link like the habit for extend version like this one. Firmware for different version cannot be upgrade, lets say your tplink router is version 3, you must upgrade for version 3 only.

No idea, but I would expect YEP instead of HSP.

Friend of mine reported loss of optical signal after thunderstorm yesterday afternoon. TM techs came this morning to fix it. Less than 24hrs response time. Turned out to be a half dead BTU.

Forgot to say area. Damansara near Starling Mall.

yes TM tech service also fast in my area. 90% of time within 24 hours.

the thunderstorm/ voltage surge can cause eqm failure even if lightning is miles away.
So its recommended that users have some form of lightning surge protection to avoid this risk.
use surge protector like belkin , CAL Lab isolators, etc.

Yes, definitely. He's lucky it wasn't the router. At least BTU rosak, all free.

As good as they are, recommending Ruckus or Aruba level gear to end user is not really a good choice.

Configuring a normal router is already quite a challenge for some users.
