QUOTE(JohnLai @ Feb 6 2019, 12:37 PM) Good news. Microsoft finally released up-to-date microcode for Broadwell, Haswell, Ivy and Sandy today. which one should i dl for 1809 updates ?https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/40...crocode-updates Scroll down to the table at the bottom to get the 'optimized' microcode. The table on top isn't the 'optimised' microcode. 2019-01 Update for Windows Server 2019 for x64-based Systems (KB4465065) ? 2019-01 Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems (KB4465065) ? thanks |

QUOTE(eclectice @ Feb 12 2019, 11:12 AM) Instead of using the web-based Speedtest.net, maybe we should try the native Windows app for Speedtest. For Windows 10, it is available on the Microsoft Store; for iOS and Android, they are available on their respective Store. if not mistaken....win10 speedtest app is unable to choose server ? |

QUOTE(kazekage_09 @ Feb 15 2019, 12:30 PM) Thanks to all that help me few days ago regarding my problems. 499 Mbps is via LAN or t9uh ?Took SilentVampire recommendation and changed my router to AC3150 and adapter to T9UH. Tested both with cat5e that came with router and cat6 and there are no significant differences (from BTU to router). Tested last night and got 460mbps. Still wait for my 10 meters cat6 to arrive to see the speed with cable. Setting the router is really breeze and easy at least for a man like me that not so expert in this things. And if my last adapter only gave me 2 bars of wireless coverage, this T9UH give me full bars! Impressive the fact that my pc to my router is blocked my walls Edited: Test again just now and got this. |

QUOTE(mywife @ Feb 20 2019, 02:29 PM) Hi everyone! I'm currently on 100mb plan (turbo upgrade) from previous 10mb lite. Thinking of changing plan to the advertised 100mb due to the need of that STD20 (600mins free call) nowadays telco offers unlimited calls ...Is there anything to consider before going this route? Like no more entitlement for future free upgrade or whatsoever that gonna make me regret the decision lol? Adding STD20 on my current plan would incur another RM20 on my current RM129. So any advice guys? unless you are heavy user on landline....then go for it |

QUOTE(DecaPix @ Mar 11 2019, 09:07 AM) Yay, finally after 3 months of asking Unifi to change my modem, they finally came to change. that's very very odd...i assume you are on 500Mbps ?hooray for speedy service. On cable managed to get 518/102. On my lousy phone only managed to get 306/101. On iPhone7 surprisingly can get 519/102. Not bad at all. my router is a new asus ac86u, i tested 5Ghz wifi with my iphone 7+ literally next to the router, but only managed to get 300+ / 100 no matter how many times i tried (telekom malaysia or time dotcom as server) This post has been edited by lyc1982: Mar 12 2019, 11:20 AM |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Apr 9 2019, 06:32 PM) Depends on what, where, when and how but max for 500Mbps should be 500Mbps plus a little more. DL speed can be up to 60mbps....sweetYes, router, PC all will affect the speed. 1. Software (for me qBittorrent is faster than uTorrent) 2. Router (torrents require more power than DDL, eg: hAP AC2 @ ~850Mbps speedtest 2% vs torrent 20%) (Sidenote: hAP AC2 CPU is IPQ4018 same as Asus RT-AC58U) 3. PC/laptop/OS etc... 4. SSD or HD 5. Wired or Wifi - Needless to say my test for max speeds are all on wired. 6. Cable - My cables are all Cat5e. This is for 800Mbps. FTP Normal FTP ie 1 segment 48.2MBps FTP with 5 segments 81.3MBps Bittorrent Bittorrent (Popular file) with my lousy pc specs...i can only achieve 8 mbps the most over wifi...sigh |

QUOTE(ramnkc @ Apr 16 2019, 08:42 PM) folks, reported before on my 800mb is only getting around 600 and technician came over my house and did a test on their own laptop on mozila firefox and they manage to get over 800... and they claimed that we cannot use other browser to do the speed test... and i strongly felt this is not right... as previously i'm able to get 800mb and they told me its because chrome and other browser more latest version and more heavier... so speedtest will show slower... i was like WTF. did they charge you rm53 for that visit ?I am going to make MCMC complaint on this as i think they are seriously throttling our speed. if not, i wanna make them test my speed as well |

if i don't have a good laptop or desktop to test my full capacity of unifi speed, how do i test apart from requesting TM to come and test with their own laptop ?
borrowing a decent laptop from someone is not an option here... |
