my home unifi has been down since 2nd of Feb, I've called the unifi hotline everyday since then, complained everyday but no one seems to be taking any action except for giving dozens of excuses e.g. unifi server down, some cards from the server are spoiled, then the cable connecting to our home is out of order, then all of the sudden say my area is down. my technical report has been "in progress" for 11 days now. what to do? The entire company seems to be operated by a bunch of lazy asses.

Go directly to TMPoint and complain and get someone to see your case immediately.
*
I'll try it.

Lodge skmm report, demand for rebate for duration of downtime. Refuse to pay bill.
*
does skmm report work? cuz I'm obliged to send the report since no one is taking action on my case.

Has TM sent anyone to look at the cable going into your house? My neighbour's Unifi was down for 3 weeks when the installer for another house pulled out her optical cable from the FDP. It was apparently marked as Unused. No amount of remote troubleshooting in the first 2 weeks could find the cause of the problem. When TM sent a tech over, one look and they saw the problem.
*
like I said, nobody's taking any action at unified despite us complaining to unified call center daily, and been given dozens of different excuses. we just want a technician at our front door.

oh, doesn't work. not surprised. they asked us to call 100 (which is what we did everyday) and told us to go to another "main" TMPoint which is even further from our home. service at its best.

One of the reason why i unsubscribe Unifi

are you using maxis? tomorrow is my last straw. I'd give 500Mbps up for a good 100Mbps connection quality.

If it is a line issue, Maxis will need to liaise with TM to fix the problem, so you might still need to wait.
*
it's not the line problem since my neighbour has a stable connection from maxis fibre.

and going to the main TMPoint worked. I went there and complained about the technical report and about how incompetent they are. they immediately escalated the issue and fixed it this evening.

it seems like my AC1200 router starts to close wifi connection by itself and refuse connections from multiple devices, and sometimes it'll be in the reboot state (but won't be booted). this time the router can run sites in local DNS e.g. lowyat, but couldn't access other websites such as github, steam, dropbox etc. should i call the service center and have technicians to replace the router? the unifi TV works though.

Highly suggest you look through first post and buy your own router. It is better than the one provided by TM. Or else, get them to replace your router and restart contract.

Get your own router. Refer to the 1st post, 1st page, green text, for list of router recommendations.

looked through it. found out RT-AX88U, looked extremely aesthetic, and the price....

need help guys.

just got myself a RT-AC86U router. my main problem is that it auto negotiates to 100Mbps on WAN therefore throttling my speed to lower than 100Mbps instead of going full 1Gbps. my old ac1200 could manual nego to 1Gbps. how can I fix this??

edit: just found out that the BTU, huawei hg8240w has its LAN1 and 2 locked onto 100Mbps, while LAN3 and 4 is on full-fledged 1Gbps. however only LAN1 can access internet...thefuck is happening with this BTU?

Ya it BTU issue. So you need to contact Unifi ask them to reset your BTU, or ask them arrange technician to come over to reset your BTU. Not router issue but BUT restriction issue.
*
can unifi adjust/reset my BTU remotely? if can the first thing i do tmr morning is to hit up with the customer service...

I'm not sure about this. But you can try to ask in Live Chat.

QUOTE(Hezegroth @ Aug 6 2019, 10:43 AM)
they can just ask them to reset onu/btu

QUOTE(JuneResources @ Aug 6 2019, 11:41 AM)
The most worry is technician come over to your place to reset BTU, and then suddenly they request payment of RM50 or RM53 (Forget already) as for technical visit.

Like last time I request for replacement router (within warranty period by TM), they come to my place and suddenly request for payment..
Damn I say if request payment, then you can go out my house already, not need fixed already.. And I lodge again the report.
"The door is open for you".. I think not need to welcome you go out ya..

Straight away their face turn black like charcoal.. Nowadays this people really kinda tipu tipu makan duit only.. dry.gif
*
well i'd hope they can reset the BTU remotely...i don't really want technicians to come now since the last time i called them it took them 2 weeks to drop by and what more, they didn't fix the issue.

*
flash? no need flash gua. just change the ssid by going to 192.168.0.1 and login admin. my previous router (spoilt) was C1200.
