hi guys, can ac1900 tp link reach 500 mbps for wireless? and how about the coverage? thinking of getting upgrade to enjoy the speed. Currently using d link 850L which only reach 150mbps on wireless and the coverage sucks. Only 1 bar at my second room in the condo

Depends on countries & their partners POPs, the mega sub cable eg. APG, Unity, AAE-1, FASTER etc... & acquiring of GTL already made a remarkable footprint in International presence.

Archer C1200 itself can support wired speed p to 800Mbps--900Mbps. You have to make sure other factors such as your receiving devices (Laptop, Ipad, Mobiles etc) are all able to cope with that requirement. By changing router itself but having poor user devices will not give optimal performance.

In real word, we tested Archer C1200, wired the highest approx. 8xxMbps & wireless approx. 4xxMbps.

You can purchase the D-Link 882 via selfcare at subsidized price of RM550.
We have tested during installations, wired speed recorded 99xMbps & Wireless 4xxMbps.

Thanks.

Dlink 882 WIFi max at 4xxMbps even on 1Gbps Plan? I mostly use Wifi at home so is that mean it makes no difference if I just go for 500Mbps plan on Wifi connection? Thanks bro for clarification! Any router can support Wifi max at near 1Gbps (assuming my devices can support it)?

So many router recommendation here until I also pening. I've just downgraded my plan to 100Mbps and was hoping someone can recommend me a better wifi router? I'm currently still using D-Link 850L that comes with my installation but my speed hardly goes above 50Mbps

You mean the one that comes free for new subscribers right? For existing customers no longer on contract, can I request them to exchange this router for free as well? Anyone tried?

Thanks bro. Very interesting. Might get one myself.
Hi I don’t have the router but I can answer some of your Qs as they are quite general. Link aggregation in the TP-Link context is to combine two LAN ports into one port therefore increasing the throughout to potentially 2Gbps. Dual WAN is that you can have two separate WAN connection, which is useful if you have two separate ISP subscription or one ISP but two accounts. One will be the backup, and one will be main. Businesses does that as they can’t afford to have internet down.

Yes, it would be good if you can upgrade to 5400X from AC1900. Dual band and tri band and have no differences. Tri band means having two 5GHz band and one 2.4GHz band, and dual band is only one 2.4Ghz band and one 5GHz band.

Thanks for the info.
Should I wait till later or get the AC5400?
Thanks

What SilentVampire said is pretty much accurate.

AC5400 router is a very significant step up from AC1900. AC1900 chipset at this point is pretty old.  smile.gif

Up to you. If you feel like you need it now, then go ahead. If not, then just wait. It really depends on your needs.

Why is it that I can get around 400-500Mbps only in the early mornings? At night around 250-350Mbps only

But if test using my router’s internal Speedtest, I can get 500Mbps. This buildin Speedtest should be using Lan correct?

So it’s not because night time more ppl are using and congested as I’m still getting that speed to my router via Lan just cannot get via Wifi

I’m just wondering if I stand really close to the router, does other lesser strength signals can interfere with mine?

I dunno but if your speedtest via LAN gives same results during both day and night, the problem may be something in your environment itself.

I am on 500Mbps plan now. I forgot whether I am still under old 24months contract period. Try to call customer careline but all lines are busy.
I plan to downgrade to 100Mbps and I saw the "Change Plan" page in TIME Selfcare does not written any contract renew when downgrade. Is that mean my previous contract is end and I can downgrade anytime without penalty?
