Hi all.. Anyone managed to get 500mbps on a 2.4ghz channel? I am using Asus ac-87 but clocking only 90mbps. Tried switching channels, restart everything, but can't help. On a 5ghz I can get around 300mbps only. No point asking to try on lan as nowadays everything wireless.. My router supposedly able to get 600mbps on a 2.4ghz

Anyone knows the login/password for C1200? admin/admin doesn't work.

Good stuff. Signal performance is very good. Beats AC3150 routers in the market.

For those that know technical details, AC3150 routers are basically AC2600 but they are AC3150 capable due to proprietary technology and only limited devices can enjoy.

Don't be fooled by the looks.

I never compared them side by side for coverage as my C3150 is the V1 variant, what currently sold is V2.

They are pretty much similar and the blue cave is definitely better than RT-AC86U.

I used to own the WS880 with the xwrt-Merlin firmware, the WiFi speed is actually kinda slow even compared to RT-AC68U.

I am still in the progress of reviewing the DIR-882. My initial thoughts of the WiFi coverage is kinda similar to the C3150. Long range performance is decent as I am getting close to 400Mbps when I am running a speedtest in my room with the router outside.

The fact is, it is really hard to be consistent when reviewing WiFi router. I always rely on SmallNetBuilder as a basis of my review as they test routers in a controlled environment.  The DIR-882 ranked slightly behind the RT-AC86U.

I still think the DIR-882 offers very good value for money like the WS880, if you can live with D-Link firmware.

I guess it's time for me to give some input, on saturday time authorised installer came over and install the new dir-882, the speed test he have done shows it top at 900mbps ish which is fine for me.

Well due to my house structure issue I need to use powerline to get a stable connection as the deepest room is not able to get good wifi signal..I bought 2 unit of TP-Link PA4010P to get full coverage in my house(keep in mind I already know the downside would be I am not getting full speed but I aim for stability anyway)

So back to the topic...using the AV500 powerline and running the dir-850l as an access point...I get around 30mbps ish speed for up/down stream on both WIFI and LAN connection..

The thing you can take away is that powerline significant reduce the speed

side note if anyone of you wish to tryout on the TP-Link PA4010 powerline you can PM me as I have an extra pair currently (might think of selling it off)

i nvr tried speed-testing it i remember the installer tested it and got 382mbps (not sure its on 5Ghz or 2.4) and then he tells me because my dad is watching video on youtube hence the speed could not reach higher (which i i think its bullshit if i understand MU-MIMO correctly) will try it tonight if ur keen to know

Speed test/download from Steam/Nvdia always getting full speed.
getting 30+MB/s on BT but that already maxed out my HDD at 100% read/write. But don't want to perform bt downloads on my SSD.

U prob need to increase the max connections per torrent n also max total connections.
