I think it is still better to get from TIME as TIME takes the responsibility on the device and the service reliability rely on it. Some more getting from oversea means no warranty from day 1.

Got upgraded to 1Gbps plan. (1Gbps down, 500Mbps up)

My RT-1200G+ is struggling pretty badly when I hit it hard.
I don't really want to spend 1K+ for a router. 😬

Been looking at the Ubiquiti Edgerouter X + Ubiquiti WiFi AP.
Any other suggestions?
(Preferable not D-Link or TP-Link, unless can load OpenWRT)

since TM force me to recontract 2 years to get my current 50mb rm187.75 "downgrade" to 100mb, i better subscribe to TIME & "renew" my contract with them for only rm99.

No FB community group... My building management should do the work or campaign, follow up, not even sure whether they got follow up or not.. Last few months ago, I remembered that I seen TNB doing something on the ground, one taman apartment is so close to me have Time fibre, just one small road path away from my building


According to management, they signed agreement with TIME on September 2018, and no fibre instillation yet..
Then, someone told me my building not in the project list, or not sure...
TNB contractors and TIME itself... I don't know how long they will take here... Any ideas? PM me

To be honest, I utilize upload speed more than download speed, average 500mb~1gb per week.. I haven't upload my important anime stuff to google drive, about 130gb, with this shitty streamyx 400~450kbps upload speed, it takes me for a month long to upload... Irritated to wait something to upload slowly...

I got an upgrade from 300Mb to 1Gb. Do i need to request to TIME to change my router to DIR - 882?..Its not worth it if i can't utilize a full speed on my WIFI..

Hi, thanks in advanc, I’m using stock router from TIME which is TP Link AC1200.. my speed is horrible compared to yours hahahaa

I also have this same router. I think most, including mine, can only reach 250-300Mbps over wifi. Over Lan it can reach 500Mbps.

You can try buying a better router, which I did, but I think it’s not worth the effort given that not all devices can reach 500Mbps.

I yet to receive it and I can't download from the portal either (it said statement not ready). Statement should be out on 5 Oct.

Archer AC2300 or DLink DIR882 better?

Normally I'll receive the email statement on 13/14~. Not sure if this month got any change or not. Recently the statement are on the normal schedule due to the GST/SST adjustment.

Self care only shown the amount to pay but not able to download the statement yet, the total amount i need to pay is RM157.94, it looks like Time already adjusted the bill,
RM139 (500mbps plan) + RM10 (Voice max plan) x 6% service tax = RM157.94.

Ahh I see, could you please let me know what kind of better router can afford wireless speed up to 500mbps? Which is cheap affordable hahaa.. can xiaomi router afford? Anyway thanks in advance,

I dare not recommend. I’m not knowledgeable in these things. I bought tplink C2300 based on recommendations here and also based on my budget. Improvement is there but found I only got 1 device that can get that speed consistently.

Plus different situations will yield different results. Btw I like Xiaomi stuff but I think for router better get other brands haha.
