Some people just want to count every sen in their lives instead of just using it as an additional benefit. Anyway I found something interesting on reddit about using SpayLater on Shopeee to qualify for cashback on weekends while spending on weekdays.

Hi, regarding cancelling the Visa card that was applied before 1 Sept 2018, is it still allowed? The Visa card that came together with the Amex.

I was thinking of cancelling the Visa and applying for Maybank Visa Signature to replace it.

I don't use it but it's an installment plan. Buy now pay later. No charge if you pay it off within a month but there's a 1.25% surcharge if you spread it into multi-month installments. Also the typical late payment interest. I guess it's good if you're ordering stuff on Monday or whatever and want it to arrive in the same week while not having to wait for a weekend before buying it.

Enjoy it while it lasts.

SPaylater = SeaMoney Capital Malaysia Sdn Bhd (established in 2020).
Temporarily "borrow" the payment service from sister company - Shopee Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
Just like another sister company - Airpay Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Shopee Digital Goods eg Bill payment and vouchers), borrowed from Shopee Malaysia at the beginning then used its own payment gateway since early 2021.

Try Lazada (App) - Bill Payment (Sewerage).
At your own risk. You should get 5% weekend rebate if the transaction description is "LAZADA-EC KUALA LUMPUR MY".

You need to call up CS and ask them to redeem treatpoints for the SST rebate. I did it for both of my cards last month.

Last time i bought a phone via shopee with AMEX and then cancelled the order, the money was deducted then refunded back to my credit card, and I still get the cashback, meaning I spent nothing and earned RM30 cashback oops.gif

will it deduct the treat point?
I still got the cash back, but treat point deducted for the refund.
Effectively, I am converting treat point into cash back lol.
