Gosh.. it's just rm50 per year, equal to one month cashback. Can we not dwell too much on this sst?
*
haha. i think it is not easy. tongue.gif

i think even rm49.99 rebate earned instead of rm50 earned, fellow bros here will investigate the whereabouts of the missing rm0.01.

if there is any revert of transaction on Amex card, will the cash rebate be taken back also?

for example,

1 June - there is one rm1k transaction A, there is another rm1k transaction B.
2 July - rm50 cash rebate is given for the transaction A.
15 July - there is a reverse of transaction A

will the cashback of rm50 be taken back after 15 July?
if yes the rm50 for transaction A is taken back, will the rm1k transaction B be given cash rebate of rm50 due to the transaction A is reversed?

Got my cards a year ago with RM5k credit limit (first card it's expected 😂)
Decided to request for a credit limit through M2U on Wednesday for future installment purchase. Requested for limit to increase to RM10k (trying my luck). My application got approved for RM8k credit limit on Friday.

Ok la considering a little over double my salary tongue.gif

Friends and family always complain Maybank is quite stingy with credit limit cause not relative to their salary and always get rejected for increase 😅

Anybody got their side of the story?
*
I think it is normal. they are indeed quite stringent in granting credit limit.

using right now without any issue...
*
If reload e-wallet today using FCB, will still get any rebate? or it will be counted as no rebate since FCB is awarded rebate based on posting date instead of transaction date line M2U card?

Can’t believe I’m posting this. Someone used my amex fraudulently to purchase something on Google’s Play store i believe.

The thing is, i only used my amex for petrol and never saved my card’s details anywhere - not even on Google as I’m using Iphone.

RM0.00 MBB:TQ for using your Maybankard ending xxxx for MYR4.00 AT GOOGLE SERVICES \\;05/08/19;02:04.For enq call num at back of your card

I called Maybank CS and they confirmed that it’s a fraudulent transaction hence already blocked my amex.

Be careful guys!
*
very common. even u keep ur card locked in a safe and never use it. u will kena one day.

If for maybank gold they send me mastercard and AMEX could i change the mastercard to VISA?
*
Actually having a MasterCard is better. Most of the good rebate cards are Visa. It is good to have a MasterCard to enjoy MasterCard specific promotion (if any, but very rare though). Anyway, for either visa or MasterCard under the 2 cards, they are really meant to be placed inside cupboard permanently.

Any idea why sometime I will receive sms for my paywave function but most of the time don't?
*
By default, MayBank only sms u when you make certain amount of transaction on your card. Unless u fill up to change the default threshold to rm0 then you get sms for all your transactions without TAC.

I went tru this before, I bought antivirus license using mbb card and seller send me used codes via email. Talked to seller, not willing to refund. Disputed to mbb, cannot escalate as the transaction was agreed by me. Case close, I paid the money.

Btw, where and what have your bought? cards? and seller not sending u any of the order? If buy via aliexpress, you got the full protection. If via taobao...i think got protection also.

if not wrong, the bank only do charge-back to merchant if it is genuine fraudulent transaction or wrong transaction such as double charge etc.

if it is an dispute between customer and merchant such as dissatisfaction of products etc. , i dun think the bank will intervene. this one requires the customer to deal with merchant directly.

and if ur transaction is gone through with 2FA which you require to enter the SMS TAC to authorise the transaction, normally the transaction cannot be disputed.

You can.

2FA makes it harder for people to do friendly fraud. It doesn't mean that you can't dispute the transaction even though it went through 2FA.
*
of course u can file dispute, but it does not mean it will be successful either. if u file, it just gives a chance. however, u suppose to settle with merchant first technically before filing since it is not fraudulent transaction after all. i dun think any bank will jump into settle cases between ur merchant and u.

two-factor authentication (2FA) help the bank to verify your identity and it makes confidence for users to use internet banking.

99% of the fraudulent transactions are not authenticated with 2FA, most of the time those transactions can only be made for those website do not require payment with 2FA or the merchant charge directly to you based on your credit card number even without CVV. these kind of fraudulent transactions will be easy to dispute by customers as long as they have done the due diligent to report lost card/fraud transactions etc. since they are 2FA authenticated, so it makes disadvantage to merchant. same like merchant last time if they dun verify the signature of customer when swiping customer credit card, if there is dispute, merchant will be at disadvantage.

same for 2FA authenticated transaction, they are authenticated, so it is now customer's responsibility to provide evidences that they really do not perform the transactions with the 2FA. comparing to the above 99% of cases, this will certainly be tougher to dispute. technically, it is definitely not easy for anyone to fraud transactions with 2FA unless they really have your token/mobile phone to have the TAC.

Went to 1 Utama Maybank today. No more 50,000 TP for RM100 voucher? Since when it changed?
*
No surprised. It has been changing over time. This is the bad part for treatpoints comparing to cashback which they can change the catalogue anytime.

This is why whenever I went KL, I will redeem the maximum points at one Utama I have without second thoughts.
