so after buying the Ambank NexG PrePaid starter pack can use terus or not? or have to wait for verification/confirmation?

thought of applying for the PB card but to sometime hv to wait up to 2-3weeks up to 2 months to obtain card depends on ur luck la.

Ambank one seem to be less hassle
*
Imo, even thou PB you need to wait 2-3 weeks to get the card, but annually you only need to pay RM24. For Ambank if I remembers correctly, its about RM3 monthly fee.
For PB I have no problem using it for Paypal too. Ambank I not so sure.

can you withdraw paypal money from paypal to Visa Electron?
*
Cant comment on this as I never do so before. But theoretically its possible based on what I read from Ebay/Paypal, but you need to pay USD5 as transaction fee.

Maybe someone here who withdrawed their paypal funds to PB Visa Electron can comment on this?

Hi, you mean SC eSaver? Means their Debit Mastercard is actually ATM card? Need to open bank account with them?

Then is the Debit Mastercard accepted by Paypal?

Thanks.

ermm.. got ppl using SC edbit for paypal wor... read previous psot

see i so nice.. answer u all ^^
*
Seems like its good... but I don't fancy opening another bank account just because I want the RM8 annual fee Debit Card...
Is it possible for me to get the card without needing to open an account with SC?

Are there any other alternative that do not require me to open an account with them? Just want to know more.

open only mar... same as just appplying for a card...  no passbook also... all done online and over the atm mar..got free motnhly statements also ^^ so damn good

u are a bankrupt is it?
*
But I don't want to have to many bank accounts as its difficult to maintain them all (at least for me).

Anyway for SC, if I use debit Mastercard to withdraw money from SC ATM, it will be consider as normal ATM withdrawal right? Or something like cash advance and will be charged?

Added on March 8, 2008, 3:31 pmOh ya, just found out that SC only have 1 branch in Penang island... seems like I'm gonna skip this.

Are there are alternative that is second to SC Debit Mastercard?

PB Visa Electron. RM24 annual fees. No need to open a bank account.

I'm currently using PB VE as well. Just looking to see if there's other "cheaper" alternative to it which doesn't require to open a bank account with them. If not then I'll just stick with my PB VE.

Can the new Maybank visa Debit card be accepted by Paypal? If yes I'm gonna ditch my PBVE for this. RM12 is okay for me compared to RM24 p.a. for PBVE.

Hmmm suddenly some out this Maybank Visa Debit card when I almost apply for Maybank Petronas Credit card... which should I go for...

But 1 thing I notice is that the Maybank Debit Card will direct deduct money from your savings? Not separately like PBVE? Like this means if my card is stolen, all money in my savings is at stake right?

RM12 for one time replacement of card for existing card holder is hardly can be accepted le.
but it's the enhanced ATM card.
will be go change it straight away, if there is FREE. too bad, it's not. have to waits for the surprise from Maybank.

btw, how the Visa Debit card works? like normal credit card? just swipe and sign tht's all?
or like the old Maybank ATM card, where we need to key in the 6-digit pin???

pls enlighten me. thanks.
*
hmmm maybe its only me that feels rm12 for this debit card is worth (IF it can be accepted/verified by Paypal) tongue.gif
Cause my PBVE I also less use... every year they charge me RM24 I feel not worth also...

And is this already available? If yes I'm considering to change my ATM to this debit card soon... maybe with this debit card I can skip Maybank Petronas CC as well tongue.gif

As for your second question, I want to know too if we can use the debit card like normal cc...

im the existing Maybank card holder.
now hardly seldom use.
so it's un-necessary to spend RM12 just to change to new card.
will be just waiting for the waiver. hope there is in future.

i believed it's available now since they already put it online.

Hi vin_ann, I guess this answers your previous question:

QUOTE
Where and how can I use my Maybankard Visa Debit?
You can use your Maybankard Visa Debit at any Merchants with VISA logo, accepted at over 26 million locations worldwide. You can choose either debit or credit at point-of-sale terminal via your ATM PIN or signature respectively.

You can also use your Maybankard Visa Debit at any Merchants with Bankcard logo accepted at over 26,000 locations locally via your ATM PIN.

For ATM transaction, you can use it at any ATM machine that displays the Bankcard or VISA PLUS logo in overseas.

Now I'm checking whether it can be accepted by Paypal...

Guess tomorrow will go to Maybank branch to check it out during my lunch time. Hope this can be done at any branch and not just limited to where I opened my account...

Added on March 14, 2008, 12:41 amOh ya, I guess this card is not eligible for the 0% installment plan offered by Maybank CC right?

if like this then I think ITS possible to withdraw money from Paypal direct into your bank account right? credit into your visa = credit into your bank account? brows.gif

Hi all, tried to add my Maybank Visa Debit to my Paypal but failed. Does this means Paypal do not accept Maybank Visa Debit?
