That's not true. debit card also require signature.


Immediate deduction also means that if the card is stolen, it will use your money first. but if CC it you bank's money first.

I'm new to this community and erm, i'll like to know the way which i can actually verify my paypal using my newly made public bank day2day debit card. I'm having an issue with the verifying part. So here's wat i did :

1. I go and click on "link to confirm your debit or credit card"
2. First name : Wong (Example Only) while last name : Lai Xing (Example Only)
3. Card type - Visa
4. Card Number - XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX
5. Expiry date - Input according to card, 3 Security Code - Done
6. Billing address - Confirm is the one I used
7. Save and continue.

What i get is...

This credit card has been denied by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was denied, please contact your credit card issuer's customer service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card.

Er...so what should i do from here? Thanks in advance >.<

I think it's either 1 of d following reasons:-

1. U haven't added / top-up into yr debit card A/c.
2. U haven't 'activated' or start 2 use yr card
3. Public Day2Day Debit Card may not be PayPal ready
unlike d other Public Bank VISA Electron Debit Card

Nevertheless, u can giv Public Bank Card Service @03-21768000
a call 4 clarification as suggested by PayPal!

Oh kk. I tried to verify my card on visa which may work but it rejects. Then i tried my maybank debit card, before it rejects, now it show another weird ass error :

A customer service representative will respond to your request shortly. If you would rather add a different credit card to your PayPal account, you may do so at any time. Thank you for your cooperation.

As far as I know there are only a number of cards that work with Paypal. NexG, EON MOL Debit card and Public Bank Visa Electron are the cards that works with Paypal based on personal experience. As for Maybank debit card, it's not working for most of online transactions.

The only successful transaction conducted online with Maybank Visa Debit is when I paid my hosting to namecheap. Other than that, most of the times, it won't work.

Please refer to the "Debit Card" thread. Other people had manage to get their Public Bank Day2Day VISA Debit card verified with PayPal. In fact, Public Bank allows this even before Maybank. Before that many were duped by Maybank that their cherry debit card can be verified by PayPal.

Well, some of the people are able to do so already but i got the error. I tried to get my public bank day2day debit card to be verified by visa but it failed as well so i'm really clueless on wat to do.

hi, i want to ask about the Public bank visa electron debit card. If i use it for online shopping and need to pay in USD, but my card is in RM...where can i check the exchange rate include the bank fee(if any)? or i just check the VISA international exchange rate? And how many % for the bank fee?
