Gosh, why i always behind in everything?
Yesterday, i saw someone in garagesale selling E-book how to link cherry card with paypal, and like always(well, he the one who sell prohibited stuff), I deliver the killer blow by ruining his thread. hahaha

For who dont know how to link their Debit card with paypal
Here a simple flow how i verified my card.
First make sure you have the Visa debit maybankard, then log in to Maybank2u, under home tab, look into the utility section and select
Maybankard Secure Online Shopping Registration then complete the form

After complete doing all the borang thinggi , log in to your Paypal account and under My account tab, go to profile and select Add/edit cradit Card

Fill in the form and save, then i forgot the next step but i think the button is orange in color and it say, save and submit i guess,
When the paypal request 4 digit number, hahaha, i got stuck on these awhile ago, it not on statement, wasting my time waiting for clicking and clicking the statement tab.

For 4 digit code, look under Account and banking, select your account which is linked to your Visa debit, and click the Debit card history, it not going to appear instantly after payment, just wait about 1 day(mine just 8 hour)
then find something like these
PREAUTH SALE 4074PAYPAL
The 4 digit number is there!!
haha! finish!!

i wanna ask something here,
is there any debit card that can use online banking features [for viewing debit cards statement online] without having a bank account?

from what i know ambank nextg didn't provide online banking.. you have to open a bank account, which minimal deposit is rm200.

oh and one more thing, about the maybank cherry visa debit card, do i have to possess a maybank bank account to apply for this?

Public Bank Visa Electron can use online banking and minimum deposit is RM25.
For Maybank debit card, you must open a saving account and then you will get a maybank cherry visa debit card, minimum deposit is RM250.

You are wrong about ambank nextG mastercard.
There is no minimum starting amount or deposit. You don't even have to go to the bank to start your account.
Just purchase a starter pack from any 7-11 shops costing RM25. Fill in the form and after few days you can begin to use the card (as long as you have money inside the card.)
They have online statement just like any other banks. You can check it via amonline.

For PB Visa Electron, no need Public Bank account also can apply. Thats mean just debit card, no saving account.
RM25 deposit to your Debit card account, not saving account.

And also the Public Bank Day2Day debit card is link to your saving account. You may open a Basic saving account at Public Bank which minimum deposit RM20 and then you can apply for Day2Day debit card.

Ya, once you get your debit card, walk to the customer service staff at the bank and told him/her to apply for online banking.

since applying for public bank visa electron takes almost a month.. i might just get ambank nextg..

and, is it really confirmed that ambank next g can withdraw funds from paypal?
some review says it cant!! but that is an outdated review.. my friend says it can?
world of debit cards sure are confusing...

I just received my PB visa electron debit card and still waiting for the PIN to mail to me. There is no any single word in the letter to ask me to deposit RM25 to my visa electron account and also no mention how to start/activate to use the card...Can i start using the visa electron card before the PIN arrive? The PIN just use for withdraw money from the ATM, right? And i just found the silver bird logo is printed at the back of the card, not front of the card sweat.gif

I still prefer using the normal atm card, losing your debit card is somehow

dangerous because it doesnt require any signature. It can be prevent but

only if you're fast enough to terminate it.

Ya, after you sign at the back of the debit card, can start swap, no need to wait the pin arrive.
Pin is just for you to withdraw and check the balance of your debit card.
The silver bird logo printed at the back of the debit card is the new card, old one painted at front.

Is depend on each individual, some of them need debit card to control their money and make it convenient, no need to bring more cash go out.
So you must save the customer helpline in your phone to in case something bad happen.
