huh? what's the diff between esavers and this?
*
Well, First one this is an islamic account if you care.

-eSaver 7% rebate only end this December but this one end 30th June 2009.
-5% cash rebate on hypermarket, eSaver do not have this - also end 30th June 2009.
-better interest/dividend tier.
-this is current account with checkbook facility while eSaver is saving account.

Well that all I know. I just open the account 2 weeks ago a few days after its launching.

ONLY can open at TTDI branch.

Look at my attach picture. That pamplet was taken at SCB. It should be real. The SCB officer also told me the same. Also they give you free gift if you deposit 50K and above.

2.5k is the minimum for account opening. But to avoid service charge need to maintain at least 1k.

So expensive $20 fee/year is balance is under RM 1k

Note: A half yearly service fee of RM10 is levied on accounts if the minimum monthly average balance falls below RM 1,000 from 1 January to 30 June and
1 July to 31 December.
*
For a current account, I think not that expensive as it offer very high dividend good cash rebate. I notice some other bank even ask you to maintain RM3k for current account or they will charge you RM10 per six month.

They are using the MBB terminals (Yellow in colour)
Insert the card, Menu asks a few questions

Credit/Debit -> Select Debit -> Savings/Current -> Select Savings -> Enter PIN (I entered my ATM PIN) -> Transaction denied.

I tried again using Current account also failed.
And again using the Credit card menu also failed.

Anyone faced this problem and how to overcome it ?
*
Yeah, I encounter the same problem at Watson. They are also using Maybank Yellow Terminal. I call the customer service, they say it must be the merchant problem. I think only this particular yellow terminal is the problem as a few days back I use it at Jusco with no problem. This Jusco also using Maybank terminal but not the yellow one. The staff at Jusco tell me that they charge my card using the credit card menu. So no need to enter PIN number.

Before I also use it at Giant & Parkson also no problem.

Maybe the yellow terminal only work for Maybank debit card.

Finally received my 7% cash rebate for petrol purchase for Nov08 through my e$aver debit card.

Anyone know if there is more good cash rebate offer this year for this card or else this card will be abandoned, as the Saadiq Debit card have all the good cash rebate until june 09.

I called up the bank and they could not detect what went wrong. They advised me to call them the very moment if such problems occurs again. Not a very practical idea if you want to call up the bank if there are lining up behind you. Maybe I will call but only after clearing the checkout counter.
*
I call CS when the problem happen but they take >10min to answer me. At that time I already cancel my purchase.

I dont see it at their website

Yes it does not show on their website. It is written on a flyer which I take from their branch. It offer 7% cash rebate on petrol & 5% cash rebate on purchase on Hypermarket including Giant, Tesco, Carrefour, Parkson, Watson, Jusco & The Store. Their dividend also high compare with normal saving account, as good as one month FD.

I think most probably their terminal get changed (correct me if I am wrong), if I remember correctly, previously their terminal is those dark grey type.

On the day when the incident happen, there is a yellow color label stick on their terminal with a Maybank logo printed on it (dono what is the content), the lady at the counter ask me to key-in my PIN into their terminal when I made payment, i was like  shocking.gif  shocking.gif , then i keyed-in my ATM password but ended up the terminal show "invalid transaction" even though I have tried several times.

So at the end, I use my Maybank Visa Debit, and to my surprise it works like charm...
*
Now I think it seem clear that if the merchant use maybank yellow terminal, the transaction prone to fail.
