If u looking for usefulness, suggest u get the VISA electron, as per discuss in this thread before, many people use it for online trading, especially paypal can accept it. If u are not often using online purchase service, both of card would be ok for u as Mastercard and VISA have their own advantage themselves.

I also have a question here for all TuneMoney VISA debit card holder, how can i reload the credit? Have to go throught the CIMB counter? Heard that the CIMB staff said that the AirAsia Saver Account holder can reload the Tunemoney credit by no need to pay any service charge, is that real?

So does the PB Utar Debit Mastercard & PB Day2Day Card can be used for online transactions?

All Public Bank debit cards can be used for online transaction.

hi, I'm currently an International student here. I just got my maybank visa debit card.. they said it can be used for paypal... but everytime I wanna add my card it says that my card is denied by the bank...

Hi, i had got my public bank visa electron debit card and i using it for the first time at one japan online shop. I am sure that i have enough money inside my debit card. But the online shop unable to charge my card and sent me error message through email. Below is the error message i get from them. Do i need to activate my card first or do something else first before using it online?

i not yet register the verified by visa...and btw the japan online shop do not require verified by visa and there is no option to key in the verified by visa password inside the online shop system. I wondering if i try register vbv, it will make me more difficult using debit card to make the payment online since some online shop do not implement the verified by visa..

strange...i just call the bank CS and they reply me that the online shop do not accept debit card but credit card only. But debit card is working just as credit card, diff is one is prepaid, another is postpaid..

It won't be a problem as sites that do not need to be verified by VISA will still be able to process your credit card, even you have already registered for Verified by VISA.


BSN has VISA Electron since long time ago but it's not popular at all. CIMB has e.Mastercard. Basically it is a prepaid card. The downside of this card is that you cannot view your card transaction via cimbclicks.com.my. No statement will be mail to you either. You will however, still be able to check your card balance via any CIMB Bank ATM.

Last time i did encounter certain shops that do not accept my Public Bank VISA Electron (the yellow color one) and that's a debit card too.
