How ? You mean the 5 Ang Pau per number for CNY gift and another 1 or 2 per number for the first campaign ?
I get average around RM10 per number for all of those ......
You can just withdraw it, 2% charge max RM2 per transac, since the money is free just pay the RM2 la ....

Love eating at Nando's, so far I claimed one full chicken, unclaimed half chicken.

The reason I downloaded this was when I found out they give cashback at Nando's and Borders.

Yup I think it's how it works.

You have to top up your wallet in Boost app, then use the app to pay for you meal.

According to what I read from the TnC, they will give you back the 50% cash back (max rm 10) by the next day.

Limit to first 3 purchases though.

I think after my three purchase I will uninstall the app lol

So far honestly I have used Boost one or two times only.

However, I have used Fave Pay more times.

Good thing about Fave Pay is can link my Maybank Amex card.

And many cafes now accept Fave pay. Just scan and pay. Something like Wechat pay.

4. i pay with it using boost

return from
-credit card cashback?
-shopback cashback
-boost shake reward

Shopback cashback is 0.4% of paid value
Boost RM10 cash back requires min RM100 purchase
Not worth it la , there are easier way to earn more rebate

Only applicable to max 3 times for same retailer, max rm 10 per cashback, and by the way ending this June 30th biggrin.gif

So far I already got around RM 40 cash back from Nando's and Borders purchase. Not including the shake shake cashback hehe

I know all of this, expert veteran Boost user
The best times is when they offered 30% cash back for reload (the promo is now over)
You reload RM30 every 2 weeks, will get RM3 in shake rewards (Xpax shake reward always 10%) and RM9 in cash back, means you get 40% discount , do this for all your Xpax numbers
Without such promos, Boost reload is useless , not worth it
I don't use Boost as much these days as I maxed out the 50% cashback limit ady on all my numbers, cannot register more as I maxed out

Just go to 11street, login and add anything to cart, then checkout
At payment page choose Boost
Then a QR code will be generated
Remember to use this at the Duit Raya page and not the scan and pay option

I had the same issue once.

Emailed Boost, they replied and got my cashback.

Try email them and screenshot your purchase details.

After that they will take 0.5% compare to credit card which usually take 1.8 till 2% from the transaction amount

Shake reward mostly rm0.5 till rm2.00

This is very common with any sort of cashless technology, because the cashiers are scared that something goes wrong , payment didn't go through and they kena tanggung.
A lot of them tell you cannot use, even though there's a sign right there, because they don't know how to use but won't admit

yeah, I got the signs. But like I said, after a while, they were open about it. Maybe people complained to their boss' bosses... Im happy with all these technologies.

How do I sign up to be a merchant? Buy my own stuff and get all the shake rewards lol
BTW is the reward dependent on the amount ? So far I only get 50 sen and RM1 rewards
*
You migth get in trouble if you swipe your own credit card machine, I think same goes to boost. If wanna do it use someone else account.

What kind of trouble? I think is as serious as a crime that you will get fine and jail. Something to do with money laundering. Anyway I just heard saja, how true I don't know.

This is not money laundering , go look up what it means
the worst thing is just you'll be suspended or fined, nothing criminal here

That day I go buy some meat (raw) cost me rm7.10 and I got RM1.50 as shake reward. I think is quite random but for anything above rm0.5 you need to at least.spend like rm5 and above else everytime also get rm0.5. another day go nandos spend rm98 and only get rm2 as reward. It is so random and no pattern. The max I ever get is RM2. Saw from Facebook someone spend on 11street paying with boost they get RM5.

Actually you can, just don't do it too much/often . How do you think POS system work ? When you swipe your own terminal with your own card you still need to pay back the card , plus the bank will deduct some processing charges

Processing fee is just 1.8% not too expensive
Then with the amount do zero% balance transfer for 6 months.
At least get some money out to roll for 6 months with only 1.8% interest compare to those credit card loan of 7.88% or 8.88%. save a bit lo

No need to pay the 1.8% processing fee
Just use Boost. load in 1500, withdraw 1498 (after RM2 fee)
Then go apply zero interest or balance transfer, depending on the bank

Want more ? Use BigPay (there's a thread on this in the finance forum)
Load in RM3006 , then withdraw RM3k at any ATM that dispenses RM100 notes
Again, ask your CC company to convert it to EPP

You don't even need to convert it to EPP to cash in
Do this every 1st day of your bill. You will be billed next month and you have 20 days interest free period, meaning you have total 50 days
During this period put this money in bond fund / money market fund / one month fixed deposit, eat the interest

it say that 'each team in the winning team will be rank l
bla bla bla'...
theres two team, blue and yellow....and blue is leading by more than double...now yellow seems to be impossible to win...so, if you even got 1st in yellow team, yellow still not the 'winning team' right?
i also in yellow, but as to my understanding, no point playing already...or am i wrong?...both team got reward ke?

Top 5 of both teams win 1k each
but other prizes is only available to the winning team
Yellow is easy to rank high up, but it's either top 5 or bust, but with so many players it's probably decided by a single match
whereas blue you have a good chance of winning something

you can still aim for top 5 . Keep it up ! rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

I find it weird they didn't extend this payment method to Boost Juice since they basically share the same name lol.

Anyone made payment online via Boost before? I made a payment via online but didn't receive cashback or a shake reward, asking Boost now..

Yep, and it's hard to predict now because very uncertain.

Lost 2 points for Uruguay and Russia's matches, still stuck at bronze.

Too late now to be honest, only 1/8 of the matches are left, and now you need 2 tokens per guess, but points still remain the same

As far as I know, paying with FavePay at selected merchants gives you quite high % of cash back, but in the form of in-app credit. Besides that Fave is always giving promo codes which makes some deals really worth it.

Actually there are two types of credit, one is tied to the shop itself, another is Fave-wide. But then yes you're right, unless you frequently shop on Fave or you have your favourite shop(s).

Yes. But it's charging RM0.02 every ringgit and max RM2.00 as processing fee.

Not really. You can withdraw as much as amount you have in wallet.
Just make sure you leave some balance to pay RM2 processing fee.
And you might need to leave at least around RM10 also, not sure why.

Just tried an encountered error for any amount > RM1000.

After the CS advised me to withdraw RM1000 or less, I tried with 1400, 1350, 1300, 1250, 1200, 1150, 1100, 1050, 1000. Only the last was successful.
thought I read somewhere somebody managed to withdraw 1250 before....

topup using cc get points then withdraw out to pay back?
each rm1000 charged RM2 fee also cant earn much points.

eg Maybank RM1 get 1 point and 500 points equivalent to RM1 so already no earning lol

perhaps need other cards that gives 0.5% cashback

Yeah and the cashier told me Boost is not usable for top up due to that reason.
Just feel misadvertised as we interpret it as Boost app can be used for every kind of purchase.
Perhaps top up considered same as Bill payment as it's running on different POS.

hye I already edited the first post. Do check and if you are satisfied, can you please transfer this thread to Finance section or whichever section that you deem best for this thread.

Thank you!
*
perhaps can start collecting more info regarding credit cards that gives rebate on topup etc as well as places that accepts boost. that's usually the main interest at the finance thread.

The support officer directed me to this - https://support.myboost.com.my/hc/en-us/art...Premium-wallet-
RM1000 per withdrawal, up to RM4500 per month.

You can contact their cs via the app, don't forget to attach a screenshot of your Transaction section in the message.

Had this issue before, didn't get my cashback in the next day, and then got it after I contacted them in the day after, their team was quite helpful and responsive.

Nope, that's no longer required. Now they just need you to key-in your NRIC & voila, account successfully upgraded.

But you still need to provide photo of your IC to enable the withdrawal feature.

And now that Wechat wallet is activated, I hope more retailers will use Wechat wallet as well.

There are just so many ewallet options now (Razer Pay, Tngo pay) that sometimes it's just so confusing and competitive.

So each platform would have to do their best to get more users (not just get once off users by giving limited free sign up credits only. Yes Razer pay, I am looking at you)

I have used Wechat pay in China before, and I think this platform have a very high potential in Malaysia if executed properly.

Sorry deviate abit haha, since this thread is about Boost Wallet.

Thanks!

It's okay, we just need a discussion thread so more awareness can be spread to the LYN community and also will be easier if users have any questions or issues to be solved.

I like to use Favepay as well, but there are two things I don't like about it. First, it doesn't have pin or fingerprint authentication, which they have confirmed that they're working on it to provide fingerprint authentication to Android users (it's already available for iOS users). Second, most of the times when I showed to the cashier that my transaction is successful, I would have to hand over my phone to them for entering the transaction code or something.

I had high hopes for Wechat Pay here, but the fact that they keep delaying and keep us hanging on without any official announcement about it makes me having doubts about their success here, they should've prepared everything when there was hype, and now the hype is gone, I'm not sure about it and I'm also starting to lose interest on it.

As for local e wallets, there are like tons of them here, but I prefer to not bother about them at all aside from Boost and Favepay since they have enough common merchants that accept them. Others like Razer Pay, TnG, Vcash, Kiplepay, Mcash (boycotted them for the bad experience), either there's issue with the app or little to no merchants accept them, so there's no point for me to use them. They gotta improve and do something to attract people, otherwise they will be phased out in the future.

So far, nope.

In fact, the cashiers I met were more than willing to let me use Boost, some were even happy that I'm using Boost, probably cuz they don't have to deal with the hassle and count the changes lol. When I used Mcash back then, it was terrible, bangla even told me need to buy stuffs for more than rm 10 then only can use lol.

The mentality of Malaysians just need to change when it comes to going cashless, and I bet many wouldn't dare to pay for their mcd sundae cone by using Paywave lol.

I think they're trying to follow what e wallets in China (like wechat pay) are doing, providing an all in one experience like paying bills, parking and stuffs.

Anything online is better than purposely going to a store to pay for your bills.

I think you should at least pay them a visit, indeed KK is more pricier than 99 speedmart but not to an extent that it's pricier than Tesco Mydin until 20-30%.

I think you should at least pay them a visit, indeed KK is more pricier than 99 speedmart but not to an extent that it's pricier than Tesco Mydin until 20-30%.
*
ya agreed. to what i know, my favorite 3-in-1 white coffee is only about 10% more expensive or around the same price (compare during normal price, not promo price at giant).

Hus seng cream cracker also selling at RM3.75 only.

Generally 20%-30% expensive than tesco mydin.

Best is top up rm20 to mobile or t&g.
*
the sad thing is, when i try to topup rm20 for mobile and t&g, the staff said boost can't be used for epay services

confirmed this when ask them on fb

Appreciate if @GTA5 (as the TS) were to contact me directly to discuss on the possible migration of thread to Finance & CC thread.

I took time to review the content of this thread to give it some thoughts.

No problem so far. I just buy cigarettes from KK. RM24 then RM2 shake reward and next day RM10 cashback. Not bad.

I have tried yesterday but no shake reward and upon checking with CS, the person said no reward entitled for Bill Payment.

Today I forward the mailer to the CS, now his (same person) response is,

"Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused, there is a delay in shake reward settlement for utility bill payments. Our team is working on it and shall be updated in your Boost account soon."

To inform everyone that I had a recent communication with TS (@GTA5) recently on the subject of possible migration of this thread to the Finance section. After briefing a glimpse of the expectations involved, TS wishes for the Boost thread as in its current model + to remain in Kopitiam at this point of time.

Opportunity for movement to the Finance section remains open. If TS (or anyone) wishes to take up the responsibility then do PM me.

TQ

Ah, I see...

I think it's gonna take some time to get all the BK branches to accept Boost, it's the same thing with Wendy's actually, when they just partnered with Wendy's that time, it took like few months for the branch in Times Square to accept it.

Btw, hope they will partner with McD, KFC and A&W soon, makes everything easier.

Yup, thanks hye.

Actually if anyone wants to create a new official thread at Finance Section, go ahead, maybe link it to this thread for new user references.

I can't contribute much to this thread though being TS cos I rarely use Boost now, more into Fave pay.

To clarify the statement above. Only one Boost thread will be allowed to exist.
If the TS application to have Boost in the Finance section is approved then this thread will be closed.

Tbh, I would like to, but too bad I already opened a discussion thread for Wechat Pay. As of now, people like us who are interested on it are still left hanging without any official announcement info about the service from the terrible team at Wechat, and I also don't think it's a good idea for me to take another responsibility in opening up a discussion thread for Boost, because if Wechat Pay ever starts to expand their service, I'm gonna have to maintain two e wallet discussion threads.

Hope anyone who are interested and passionate about Boost can contribute further by opening an official discussion thread in the Finance section.

Just a quick note to say that Boost works just fine on basic internet ie: 64kbps mobile data. (I was using DiGi prepaid)

App startup is slow so have it up and running and logged in first. Once it is running, pressing "Scan Me" to pay takes just a few seconds longer than if you're on a proper data plan.

I guess that could be the case. According to the latest terms & conditions,

3.6 Wallet Limit is Ringgit Malaysia One Thousand and Five Hundred (RM1500).

3.7 Daily Transaction Limit is Ringgit Malaysia One Thousand (RM1000).

3.8 Monthly Transaction Limit for Payment, Electronic Money Transfer and Cash out is Ringgit Malaysia Four Thousand and Five Hundred (RM4500), ie. RM 4500 Monthly Transaction Limit for each type of transaction.

I have no idea how I got my offer.
I only just installed the boost app last week and saw it under boost mail.

Btw I still hasn't received the cashback until now.

The cashback sometimes very fast come, sometimes slow. So far I've received it at different times the next day: 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 8pm, 11pm, got one came more than 24hrs, around 2am the next next day.

Just to clarify, KKMart's promo (>RM20, cashback RM10, max 3 per user) is different from the other one which is no min spend, 50% cashback, Max RM10, max 3 per merchant.

To be honest, they have so many promos running now that it has become a lil' chaotic.

Today I received RM5 cashback in my Boost wallet but I have totally no idea where it comes from. The only transactions I did last weekend were purchasing RM30 Shopee voucher & spending RM66.50 in a restaurant that ISN'T in the list of merchants with 50% cashback.

About the Celcom bill thing...

I noticed many Blue Cube centres have the Boost sticker outside, and there's also a QR code sign on the counter, so I guess you can scan and pay your bills there.

But what's the point of paying with Boost when you can just straight pay with the Celcom app?

What if the rebate ends? Pretty sure it doesn't last that long just like the 50% cashback which lasted for quite a while already.

Boost can't be our daily app yet, so they can't expect people who are using the Celcom app to ditch it and pay their bills with Boost other than the rebate right now.

Other than the referral RM5 (Referral Bonus in history), there's also topup prepaid RM5 and get RM5 cashback. Dunno of any others that's exactly RM5.

Did you use Boost for the retail 50% cashback? But those are itemised as "50% Cashback" in history.

Nope, the restaurant I frequented isn't in the list of merchant eligible for 50% cashback.

Anyway, Boost did reply my inquiry; the RM5 cashback came from me transferring RM70 into my Boost wallet. However, I don't see any ongoing promotion for this so I shot them another follow-up question. Been 2 hours without reply & at this point, I'm starting to sound silly for asking the reason why I'm given cashback. biggrin.gif

Just received their reply when I asked if the RM5 comes from an ongoing promotion:

"This is an on-going retention program and might be missed out to communicate to your Boost account."

Seems like they're not very willing to let me know in detail how the cashback works. Damn, I was thinking of abusing maximizing my cashback value.

Not sure if my case is related or not...I remember when I first started using Boost, I reloaded RM 30 to my Boost wallet for the first time, and then I got RM 3 in return, and it showed 'Boost Wallet Bonus' instead of 'Cashback'.

AFAIK, shake reward is only available after you made your transaction.

Try contacting Boost regarding the Nando's issue.

Maybe exclusive promo for selected users. Both my kids received emails but nothing in-app for a prepaid topup RM5, cashback RM5 promo, essentially free RM5 topup lah. I didn’t get that email.

TnG app had a similar promo, topup 5 cashback 4. They also have a wallet topup 10, cashback 5.

No shakes for topping up the wallet.

Paying Nandos should have given you one. Check your Profile tab and see if there’re any unclaimed Shake rewards there. If not, just contact support and they’ll sort it out in no time.

doesnt seems like it (as of now) coz im not even close to those 2 places...(but jomparking do autodetect location from app)

most probably boost just use the most standard description in their latest update...maybe if someone complains, later they will change it (as what happens to the previous 'shake reward for bill payment'..lol)

The transaction should register immediately on your Boost app. If you're really concerned, feel free to reach out to Boost CS for further confirmation.

Is there a minimum bill payment amount required to entitle a user to a shake? I see no reason for you to not maximize your shake reward by dividing the bill payment into 2 separate transaction unless there's some clause in the T&C that prohibits you from doing so.

There's a possibility that the cashier enabled Mcash instead of Boost for you to scan, and then what the receipt showed was an error or something, not sure if it's possible though.

But the important thing is, what did your app show after you scanned your code? Did it show the "Success" thing as usual?

Hmm, provided the cashier has the scanner option to scan your barcode.

For bigger retailers, you have to scan them.

For small business retailers like Pasar malam etc, they can scan you.

There are two types of payment method, using which type will depend on the merchant, it will be either one of these two.

1. Scanning merchant's QR code - If you see a QR code sign on the cashier counter, just tap "Scan and Pay" > scan the QR code > enter the amount you need to pay > enter your pin > transaction done

2. Merchant scanning your QR code - When the merchant asks to scan your code, show them the code by tapping "Scan Me" > enter your pin > let merchant scan your code > transaction done

Yes, that's the second one.

It depends on which method that the merchant uses, it will be only either one of them.

For example, some merchants like KK uses the second one while some like pasar malam stalls and food trucks use the first one.

QUOTE(MGM @ Jul 25 2018, 10:36 PM)

If the merchant scans your code, the merchant will key in the amount you need to pay on their system first, and then you only need to scan.

Unless the merchant uses the first method which is requiring you to scan their code, you have to enter the amount.

Already expired last night@11:59pm. Hopefully, will launched something new. Boost seems to be the most promising Mobile wallet ATM. Only problem is the merchants. Boost need to educate the cashiers to use this payment option and also give more details of which store locations is available for Boost.

I only use it for the 50%
I always ask upfront if Boost can be used. Don't assume that it can be used even if there's a sticker in front that says they accept Boost, they might give reasons like system is down etc
if possible, and you know exactly what you want, ask to pay as soon as they placed the order, so that if any problem arises you can walk away since food is probably not served yet

You don't have to key-in the amount when the merchant scans your Boost. Which is also the scary part. What if the amount is off by a decimal point against your favour? Always check the POS screen!

I suspect larger shops with higher volume will opt for this method as it's the fastest and cuts down on errors on the users' part by not having us key-in the amount.

There's a 3rd method where we pay by scanning a code encoded with the amount and merchant. We then verify that on our phones and key-in our PIN to approve the transaction. So far only 11street uses that.

I sought the confirmation from Boost CS and here's the reply on Shake Rewards validity:

Shake Reward will be available until further notice.
Shake rewards are applicable for the following transactions types only:
1) Mobile Prepaid top up
2) Celcom Bill payments
3) Scan & Pay transactions
4) Utility bill payments

11Street is bit different. Scan first, see amount then PIN to pay.

So far I've encountered:
1. Scan, Enter Amount, PIN (llaollao, pasar malam, waffle stall in Sg Long, your friend's QRCode)
2. PIN, Be Scanned (KK: Amount on POS)
3. Scan, Amount Displayed, PIN (11street)

That is true, there was once that I went to a convenience store (small one near Starhill Gallery), and I saw there were few e wallet stickers outside the store (Boost, Mcash, Kiplepay), went inside and grabbed a bottle of mineral water to the cashier and then I said I want to pay with Boost, suddenly the cashier said "system down". Could've ranted to him that if still can't use it yet then don't stick it outside and just walk away, but no point lah, since it was just a bottle of water for a buck, no big deal then. But that was a lesson to be learnt, also won't be buying from that store anymore, can just walk to KK which is just few stores away.

you are right though , the free money from razerpay still in my wallet, but diff story is 711 and Razerpay serving same parent company
*
I get that both are from Berjaya Group, but if they really do that, that kinda sounds like monopoly don't you think? If that's the case, then it's better for people to not even use Razer Pay. You can't force people to only use your one and only e wallet, that just ruin the purpose of using e wallet which is convenience and consumer's preference.

QUOTE(talexeh @ Jul 26 2018, 10:10 AM)
IMHO, it appears that Fave & Boost are leading the Malaysian market at the moment but with WeChat Pay just around the corner, I think this is anyone's game.
*
Wechat Pay isn't around the corner, they basically disappeared. They kept delaying their official launch from June to July and then now to September, and it wasn't even Wechat team themselves who said that, it was the agents instead. The hype is already gone for Wechat Pay, I rather support the local ones like Boost and Fave cuz they're really aggressive in their expansion.

All the better since I'm not a fan of WeChat. Currently I have Fave, Boost, MPUPU & Touch n' Go in my phone & I foresee there will be more coming especially with BNM encouraging more fintech to be setup.

Very true. Sometimes it's out of their and our control. I was at KK, Taman Segar yesterday. Tried Boost but "Internal Error" on the POS after scanning. System down happens. An hour later at KK in PJ State, no problem.

As for Razer Pay, their free RM10 credits was a really good reboot. Everyone was quite happy to install it until RazerPay decided to prevent in-app prepaid topups. You can still buy topups at selected 7Es though.

How's MPUPU? I only saw it at Chicking's, didn't know it's an e wallet.

We already have too much e wallets around here, no point for us consumers to install like 10 of them just to use at different merchants, don't forget that we also have to provide our personal details (for withdrawal purposes) due to BNM regulations, but I don't think it's a good idea to give out our details to many e wallets lol.

My son and daughter received theirs around Jul 19 via email. It's not visible in-app. They've both purchased RM5 topups two days ago and received their RM5 cashbacks yesterday.

Even though I did not receive that email, I decided to try anyway and bought RM5 topup yesterday. Surprisingly I also received the RM5 cashback today.

You may want to try your luck too. The cashback shows up as "Cashback Bonus" in Transaction History.

So so. Based on my experience, I think restaurants are starting to ditch it since the last 2 restaurants that I frequented no longer accept it. Not sure what's going on but maybe I'll take the trouble to ask them about it next time.

I think the only reason most Malaysians (or maybe it's just me) used these eWallets are due to some benefits like discount or cashback. Take away these benefits & I doubt that particular brand of eWallet will remain long. sweat.gif

If it doesn't come by tomorrow, just shoot a support request to Boost and they'll sort you out. Happened to me once or twice.

My highest shake so far in % is RM1 reward for paying Tealive RM1.45. 69% reward. On top of that I later got 73 sen cashback from the 50% promo. Total received RM1.73 for a payment of RM1.45. Not quite sure how that happened but ain't complaining.

Today got RM3 shake at KK for RM23. My highest so far in $ value.

Once I got before 0 sen. Dunno how that happened. I see if I can find a screenshot for that. Been meaning to contact Boost about that.

You mean RM 0? If I remember correctly, I got that like 2 times, a bummer indeed.

Basically means we don't get money from shake reward every time, don't see a problem with that.

Yeah RM0. So far once for me. 5 sen at least twice. If I were Boost, I'd make sure that it's never 0, even 5 sen is ok. I think some people might get triggered if they get 0.

I wonder what's next for Celcom. Their 11st used to be pretty popular but has been lagging way behind Shopee or Lazada recently. Now that they've come up with Boost, I hope it'll not end up on the same path.

I started using 11street again because of Boost. It also helps that they're having RM10 cashback again - they had it last month also. Before that it was strictly Shopee, Lelong and Lazada.

11st was popular back then because it was new and they were advertising it aggressively, but that time Lazada was leading the e-commerce market right? Lazada has always been the leader, from back then until now.

But I'm kinda worried about how Boost is gonna perform in the long run, I think cashback is the main attraction and also the reason that helped them get to this position as the leader of e wallet here, and now the 50% cashback promotion is gonna end very soon, they have to come up with something more attractive to get more people join the platform, and it's better for them to retain that shake reward because at least it's still something. Maybe they can be like Favepay, giving out cashbacks after every transactions, I believe they have more than enough of ability to do similar thing because they (as in Axiata/Celcom) is a big company, they have nothing much to lose.

Also don't forget that majority are still not convinced in going for cashless solution, cash is still king. They also gotta do something to attract these group of people into going cashless, but it's not easy because many people who are heavily reliant on cash are very stubborn and it's hard to convince them to even pay for something using their debit card paywave.

Smaller e wallets are more likely to be phased out in the future due to the culture of our society, and also because they're not as aggressive as Boost and Favepay.

Tell them you want to have separate bills , this is quite common actually
The restaurant I went to is office area, during lunchtime almost all are from nearby offices and most of them ask for separate bills

But if you ask for the bill to be split into 6 when there are only 4 of you, it's hard to justify la

The only thing I'm hoping Boost will support is to allow transactions to be charged directly into debit / credit card instead of the need to top-up every single time.

Can you split the rm30 bill to maximize the shake reward?

Will they separate the receipt amount into less than rm30? Since the minimum for chilli award is rm30

iinm, split bill cannot earn nandos chillis.

I see boost terminal is not direct connect to nandos POS terminal.

maybe boost terminal split, but nandos POS full lumpsum amount.

but not sure if they willing to do that, especially when they reconcile their sales at night laugh.gif

Have you updated your app?

Btw, I was surprised when I saw this news lol, makes everything easier now.

Which one the best in terms of coverage so far? Boost, Maybank or Samsung Pay?
*
They're different lol, Boost and Maybank QR are e wallets while Samsung Pay is mobile payment.

If you really wanna compare between these three, then of course Samsung Pay has the widest coverage because it works on most card terminals, and Maybank QR is the worst.

Just update your Fave app and you can see the option under My Payment. then you can Fave Pay via Boost and get free Shakes.. (need to go in the Shake session to claim your shake)..

Speaking of Favepay, Android users are waiting for fingerprint authentication, even pin authentication isn't available for us yet. iOS users lucky lah to have Touch ID supported on Favepay.

I can't really brain how these different brands of eWallet can come to an agreement to work together. rclxub.gif

Soon we're gonna see Fave allows payment via Boost which will charge into GrabPay & so on & so forth. biggrin.gif

Because Fave and Boost already collaborated for quite some time now, they first collaborated so Fave can sell their vouchers on Boost.

I see nothing wrong with them taking the collab further, they're currently the best e wallets in our market.

But I'm still wondering if I should use Boost as payment method on the next time I use Favepay, isn't it easier if we just go for the original way which is straight deducting the amount from our card?

What makes Favepay better is that the amount can just be straight deducted from our card instead of reloading it.

So far, I did not tried that. Coz this is how I reload boost.
Use Credit Card to Reload BigPay, then use BigPay to reload Boost. Tried Stand Chart Just One Plat CB Card and PBB Quantum MasterCard and both give me cashback for BigPay.

To be frank, i will not store my CC info in Fave anymore. Some fraudulent transaction happened on my Fave Account recently and the Customer Care blamed me I might purchased these deal by incidents.. but in fact it is done via system end... ..(long story with their Customer Service Team and still not resolved... ) thus I removed my CC info from Fave already.. Good to see they partnered with Boost and at least Boost provided PIN Authentication for each transaction.

On top of any partner cashback on Fave, you’ll also earn Boost cashback through Boost Shake Rewards and no risk of saving Credit Card on Fave since Fave did not have any pin authentication in their Android app.

I guess this isn't applicable to everyone LOL. No RM5 cashback for me so far.

Same here but still got time, my wife reloaded RM5 yesterday but nothing yet. Seems to be quite slow today, I'm still waiting for 2 x KK cashbacks and 1 x 11street cashback.

Boost does state "next working day". Maybe that's why. But I thought I've received cashback on a weekend before.

Basically their biggest problem here is the lack of security authentication for transactions, which is the most basic thing for e wallet and mobile payments.

Also, another thing I don't like about Favepay is I need to hand my phone over to the cashier for them to copy down some sort of transaction code, it's supposed to be me showing my phone to them of the screen showing the transaction is successfully made instead.

Or maybe they didn't have a dedicated phone for e wallet purposes?

The only merchant that did the right way (which is having me showing my screen and they refer to their phone for confirmation) was Paparich. Other than that, literally every merchants needed to take my phone and key in the code to their cash register system.

If they wanted to be safe, I do understand, but it means the process took a bit longer than just paying with cash and it felt a bit uncomfortable by handing over my phone to cashiers every time. I'm not sure if it's Fave's fault or the merchant's fault, but they should really sort this out.

Use Boost than the problem solved since Boost is having PIN authentication Frankly.. Fave is not even a Mobile Wallet registered in BNM. They just linked to Credit Card (Check it here: E-money Issuers in http://www.bnm.gov.my/index.php?ch=ps&pg=ps_regulatees)

I believe the shake reward given is based on the range of speding. the lowest I get is 20sens.. up to RM2 so far.. RM2 if I spent 30+ and RM0.2 if I spent less than RM10
