Anyone try favepay with Boost? I can’t see the Boost as payment method in Favepay app

Have you updated your app?

Btw, I was surprised when I saw this news lol, makes everything easier now.
They're different lol, Boost and Maybank QR are e wallets while Samsung Pay is mobile payment.

If you really wanna compare between these three, then of course Samsung Pay has the widest coverage because it works on most card terminals, and Maybank QR is the worst.
*
Just update your Fave app and you can see the option under My Payment. then you can Fave Pay via Boost and get free Shakes.. (need to go in the Shake session to claim your shake)..

It seem like only have update for android phone.. I can’t c any update at AppStore for Favepay.. need to wait for iOS phone to update then..

I saw the Boost updated the FAQ 2 Days ago..
https://support.myboost.com.my/hc/en-us/art...on-using-Boost-
and many more articels.

Which creditcards give cashback for reloading Boost?
*
So far, I did not tried that. Coz this is how I reload boost.
Use Credit Card to Reload BigPay, then use BigPay to reload Boost. Tried Stand Chart Just One Plat CB Card and PBB Quantum MasterCard and both give me cashback for BigPay.

QUOTE(xperiaDROID @ Jul 28 2018, 01:26 PM)
Speaking of Favepay, Android users are waiting for fingerprint authentication, even pin authentication isn't available for us yet. iOS users lucky lah to have Touch ID supported on Favepay.

Good for end user. No complaints.

QUOTE(xperiaDROID @ Jul 28 2018, 06:40 PM)
Because Fave and Boost already collaborated for quite some time now, they first collaborated so Fave can sell their vouchers on Boost.

I see nothing wrong with them taking the collab further, they're currently the best e wallets in our market.

But I'm still wondering if I should use Boost as payment method on the next time I use Favepay, isn't it easier if we just go for the original way which is straight deducting the amount from our card?

What makes Favepay better is that the amount can just be straight deducted from our card instead of reloading it.
*
To be frank, i will not store my CC info in Fave anymore. Some fraudulent transaction happened on my Fave Account recently and the Customer Care blamed me I might purchased these deal by incidents.. but in fact it is done via system end... ..(long story with their Customer Service Team and still not resolved... ) thus I removed my CC info from Fave already.. Good to see they partnered with Boost and at least Boost provided PIN Authentication for each transaction.

On top of any partner cashback on Fave, you’ll also earn Boost cashback through Boost Shake Rewards and no risk of saving Credit Card on Fave since Fave did not have any pin authentication in their Android app.

Even without fraudulent case I don't like FAVE, many times I have mistakenly make purchases because there is no verification for our purchases. Now I make sure after I use, I change to a non existent online bank.

Basically their biggest problem here is the lack of security authentication for transactions, which is the most basic thing for e wallet and mobile payments.

Also, another thing I don't like about Favepay is I need to hand my phone over to the cashier for them to copy down some sort of transaction code, it's supposed to be me showing my phone to them of the screen showing the transaction is successfully made instead.
*

Use Boost than the problem solved since Boost is having PIN authentication Frankly.. Fave is not even a Mobile Wallet registered in BNM. They just linked to Credit Card (Check it here: E-money Issuers in http://www.bnm.gov.my/index.php?ch=ps&pg=ps_regulatees)

Bolded part: Eh, I thought you did receive your RM5 cashback even though you didn't receive that email?
Bolded part: Hmm... that's not what most merchant did for my case? I just need to show them my screen & they'll refer to their phone for confirmation. Maybe your merchants just wanted to play it safe?
*
Yup.. Some received SMS notification, some using BarCode (Auntie Annes), some has Merchant App installed, some integrated with thier POS system (llaollao)... For those dont have, they just refer to our phone lo..

Experience at a certain store
Ask if Boost accepted - they first said no, even though there are a few Boost stickers located throughout the store
When I ask why they say they are not ready, Boost has a separate machine bla bla bla
I have to press them to ask their manager, only then did the manager bother to come out to teach the staff how to use

I really hate this type of mentality. The idea is just say no is safer, because if you make a mistake , you might have to tanggung. They are also not willing to learn and adapt. This is one of the reasons why e-payment is not as prevalent here, despite most people holding at least one contactless-enabled cards
*
Yup..even contactless card .. some also scared, especailly HERO Market in Kelana Jaya and Hogan Bakery @ Bukit Bintang, they insist PIN and PAY and no paywave / contactless although their machine do support it.

To be on the safe side, check the boost 50% cashback in their website EVERYDAY.

They update (add/REMOVE) merchants everyday. 50% cashback ends this month.

Enjoy.

There's a big chance that Boost has blocked BigPay. I don't think anyone managed to top-up using BigPay today.
*
If it is blocked by boost, then the verification should not passed thru.. i believe it might due to BigPay side blocked non OTP transactions....
