Done!
Sorry can't contribute much to my own thread, as I ownself rarely use Boost at my area.
I usually prefer to use Fave Pay. They have been giving me good cashbacks, and they accept Amex too.
And now that Wechat wallet is activated, I hope more retailers will use Wechat wallet as well.
There are just so many ewallet options now (Razer Pay, Tngo pay) that sometimes it's just so confusing and competitive.
So each platform would have to do their best to get more users (not just get once off users by giving limited free sign up credits only. Yes Razer pay, I am looking at you)
I have used Wechat pay in China before, and I think this platform have a very high potential in Malaysia if executed properly.
Sorry deviate abit haha, since this thread is about Boost Wallet.
Thanks!
It's okay, we just need a discussion thread so more awareness can be spread to the LYN community and also will be easier if users have any questions or issues to be solved.
I like to use Favepay as well, but there are two things I don't like about it. First, it doesn't have pin or fingerprint authentication, which they have confirmed that they're working on it to provide fingerprint authentication to Android users (it's already available for iOS users). Second, most of the times when I showed to the cashier that my transaction is successful, I would have to hand over my phone to them for entering the transaction code or something.
I had high hopes for Wechat Pay here, but the fact that they keep delaying and keep us hanging on without any official announcement about it makes me having doubts about their success here, they should've prepared everything when there was hype, and now the hype is gone, I'm not sure about it and I'm also starting to lose interest on it.
As for local e wallets, there are like tons of them here, but I prefer to not bother about them at all aside from Boost and Favepay since they have enough common merchants that accept them. Others like Razer Pay, TnG, Vcash, Kiplepay, Mcash (boycotted them for the bad experience), either there's issue with the app or little to no merchants accept them, so there's no point for me to use them. They gotta improve and do something to attract people, otherwise they will be phased out in the future.
