Everyone gotten your rm10 kkmart cash back in next day? Based on some of the feedback, might need to wait till 6pm. But I don't get mine till now.
*
You can contact their cs via the app, don't forget to attach a screenshot of your Transaction section in the message.

Had this issue before, didn't get my cashback in the next day, and then got it after I contacted them in the day after, their team was quite helpful and responsive.

Nope, that's no longer required. Now they just need you to key-in your NRIC & voila, account successfully upgraded.
*
But you still need to provide photo of your IC to enable the withdrawal feature.

Done!

Sorry can't contribute much to my own thread, as I ownself rarely use Boost at my area.

I usually prefer to use Fave Pay. They have been giving me good cashbacks, and they accept Amex too.

And now that Wechat wallet is activated, I hope more retailers will use Wechat wallet as well.

There are just so many ewallet options now (Razer Pay, Tngo pay) that sometimes it's just so confusing and competitive.

So each platform would have to do their best to get more users (not just get once off users by giving limited free sign up credits only. Yes Razer pay, I am looking at you)

I have used Wechat pay in China before, and I think this platform have a very high potential in Malaysia if executed properly.

Sorry deviate abit haha, since this thread is about Boost Wallet.
*
Thanks!

It's okay, we just need a discussion thread so more awareness can be spread to the LYN community and also will be easier if users have any questions or issues to be solved.

I like to use Favepay as well, but there are two things I don't like about it. First, it doesn't have pin or fingerprint authentication, which they have confirmed that they're working on it to provide fingerprint authentication to Android users (it's already available for iOS users). Second, most of the times when I showed to the cashier that my transaction is successful, I would have to hand over my phone to them for entering the transaction code or something.

I had high hopes for Wechat Pay here, but the fact that they keep delaying and keep us hanging on without any official announcement about it makes me having doubts about their success here, they should've prepared everything when there was hype, and now the hype is gone, I'm not sure about it and I'm also starting to lose interest on it.

As for local e wallets, there are like tons of them here, but I prefer to not bother about them at all aside from Boost and Favepay since they have enough common merchants that accept them. Others like Razer Pay, TnG, Vcash, Kiplepay, Mcash (boycotted them for the bad experience), either there's issue with the app or little to no merchants accept them, so there's no point for me to use them. They gotta improve and do something to attract people, otherwise they will be phased out in the future.

Any difficulty using boost at KK?

When i use credit card at hypermart99, the cashier always show the weird "cash is king" face
*
So far, nope.

In fact, the cashiers I met were more than willing to let me use Boost, some were even happy that I'm using Boost, probably cuz they don't have to deal with the hassle and count the changes lol. When I used Mcash back then, it was terrible, bangla even told me need to buy stuffs for more than rm 10 then only can use lol.

The mentality of Malaysians just need to change when it comes to going cashless, and I bet many wouldn't dare to pay for their mcd sundae cone by using Paywave lol.

QUOTE(adamw @ Jul 18 2018, 11:19 AM)
Yes, most of the bangla dunno how to use. Scan already cannot print receipt have to call Supervisor to settle. doh.gif
*
Supervisor lazy probably lol. Anyways, if you faced them not letting you pay by Boost, report to Boost or KK.

other than the shake and 50% (max RM10) what are the benefits of using boost to pay your bills?
*
I think they're trying to follow what e wallets in China (like wechat pay) are doing, providing an all in one experience like paying bills, parking and stuffs.

Anything online is better than purposely going to a store to pay for your bills.

yeah but I can paybills on M2U too...since my sources of income is channeled to Maybank, it just seems fitting to make all these payments directly from M2U than to go through a 3rd party like Boost or other aps.
*
Not everyone is using M2U. icon_idea.gif

wow , so expensive, no wonder KK teamup with Boost.

after hearing your comment, i kinda not interested with KK anymore. i rather stick with 99
*
I think you should at least pay them a visit, indeed KK is more pricier than 99 speedmart but not to an extent that it's pricier than Tesco Mydin until 20-30%.

If you scroll thru the list page by page you will see BK listed as one of the up to 50% cash back merchants.
*
Ah, I see...

I think it's gonna take some time to get all the BK branches to accept Boost, it's the same thing with Wendy's actually, when they just partnered with Wendy's that time, it took like few months for the branch in Times Square to accept it.

Btw, hope they will partner with McD, KFC and A&W soon, makes everything easier.

Yup, thanks hye.

Actually if anyone wants to create a new official thread at Finance Section, go ahead, maybe link it to this thread for new user references.

I can't contribute much to this thread though being TS cos I rarely use Boost now, more into Fave pay.
*
Tbh, I would like to, but too bad I already opened a discussion thread for Wechat Pay. As of now, people like us who are interested on it are still left hanging without any official announcement info about the service from the terrible team at Wechat, and I also don't think it's a good idea for me to take another responsibility in opening up a discussion thread for Boost, because if Wechat Pay ever starts to expand their service, I'm gonna have to maintain two e wallet discussion threads.

Hope anyone who are interested and passionate about Boost can contribute further by opening an official discussion thread in the Finance section.

I was just thinking about lunch today at bk since 50% got few days left...wangsa maju outlet is just 5min walk from my office

Btw, saw an ad in fb about pay celcom bill or topup xpax will get 10% rebate... cant seem to find it now tho
*
About the Celcom bill thing...

I noticed many Blue Cube centres have the Boost sticker outside, and there's also a QR code sign on the counter, so I guess you can scan and pay your bills there.

But what's the point of paying with Boost when you can just straight pay with the Celcom app?

obviously the rebate given lah...if bill rm100, pay with celcom app rm100 and thats it....if boost really gives the 10% rebate back, we can get back rm10 lor
*
What if the rebate ends? Pretty sure it doesn't last that long just like the 50% cashback which lasted for quite a while already.

Boost can't be our daily app yet, so they can't expect people who are using the Celcom app to ditch it and pay their bills with Boost other than the rebate right now.
