So the drawback is signal strength but improved speed? I'm using UniFi 10Mbps only so I don't need high speed but wireless strength and stability.
Just channel interference bro, not signal strength. But, if you are only using Unifi Lite, you don’t have to change your 2.4GHz to 40MHz.

Guys, try TP-Link Archer C9... for a 1yr+ router and at 5G, it does not fail to deliver >100mbps, and priced around RM500+ nowadays... and no slowdown issue with "NAT boost" enabled...
C9 is good, but a bit dated already. I would top up another RM200, and get the C3150 v2.

My recent home Unifi installation came with an Alcatel fibre modem installed in my store room. During my home renovation, I have wired 2 cat5e connections to the the living hall downstairs and the family hall upstairs. Currently, I have a TP-Link router installed in the downstairs living hall, connected to the modem via the cat5e cable I put in during renovation to provide Wifi coverage to the whole house. Is it possible to connect another Wifi router in my upstairs family hall to the modem to provide better Wifi coverage upstairs?
Tips on how to accomplish this is much appreciated. Thank you.
You just need to get an access point, or AP. You don’t have to get another router.
