Bro, see here for an explanation for SLAAC: https://howdoesinternetwork.com/2013/slaac

He meant on your screenshot, in your router settings, 'GET IPv6 ADDRESS' above the'PREFIX DELEGATION', instead of DHCPv6, you indicate the 'SLAAC' circle. Get it?

When I reading first about the NFP, I thought it will be the same as Australian NBN programme but after more and more news came out, I don't think it will follow like NBN.Where there's is one company will manage the dark fibre as access network which I assumed is TNB but looks like it will be not like that.Where others ISP will ride on these dark fibres to provide the connection to the customer.

Update to my UNIFI 100mbps issue:

TM came to my house and they noticed that i'm using Asus AC68U instead of TPLINK hence they don't know how to check the optimum setting, but they told me if for TPLINK we need to disable "NAT boost", i found for Asus below is that setting:

[attachmentid=9479108]

Also, the technician called their server side department to reset my 100mbps profile, they suspect the profile is not applied properly.

I have been using same IP for almost 48 hours and done almost 150GB BT so far speed still maintain at 110mbps.  rclxms.gif
So for those using Asus and having same issue, please check whether you have "NAT Acceleration" enabled.

Thanks. Appreciate the update.

Tick the ‘PPPoE same connection with IPv4 connection’ and reboot your router.

1 month (28, 29, 30 or 31 days). There's no "before this", it's always been 1 month.

got my unifi 30 installation yesterday.

choose non standard installation and they ask rm70. gladly give him 100 instead smile.gif

TM give tp-link c1200 router. so far so good. full wifi coverage for 2 storey house.

maybe the placement make it cover the whole house area.

Thanks for the update as well bro. I also have the same router. Currently the default setting for NAT Acceleration in the Asus is "Auto". Will give this a try.

Source? Confirm beta firmware? My hand suddenly feel itchy to flash the router to this firmware.

first thanks to those who answered and commented on my questions over the last 14 days or so.

i have good news!! rclxms.gif

beginning status:

.. unifi 100 mbps.
.. unsatisfied with tm's tplink ac1200
.. used asus rtn12hp_b1 as temp router - ethernet max 95mbps, wifi max 55.
.. mix of old (2.4ghz) and new devices (2.4, 5.0), mix of ethernet and wifi use.
.. biggest challenge - windows10 pc 2.4ghz at 50ft wifi - can't get more than 50mbps.

today, acquired and tested, running now:

.. asus rt-ac1300uhp (rm530)... ac router
.. asus usb-ac55 (rm250)... ac wireless adaptor

results for the pc on 5ghz:

user posted image

ethernet results, no need to say more, all good.

other observations:

.. the ac1300uhp is small, compact; stays very cool.
.. i did not tweak anything - all out of the box; but keyed in everything at the shop to plug n play; updated firmware to 3.0.0.4.380.8119.
.. the usb-ac55 is sized like a thumbdrive, just stick it into the usb port of the pc; put in cd to load the driver; all else is auto.

my confidence in asus products and my own conclusions before purchase tongue.gif has not been wrong - everything has worked the way i thought it would! rclxms.gif

so, for those struggling with <100mbps, there are reasonable solutions.
no need to doubt too much about your home; no need to worry too much about interference; no need to buy costly equipment; no need complex setups.
this 50ft i dealt with has one staircase, 1 concrete wall and one cabinet filled with stuff... yet, can get 104mbps wifi rather hassle free! thumbup.gif

once again, my thanks to those to answered my questions.

and i hope those looking for similar solutions now have a better idea.
