Anyone knows what's the maximum speed attainable for high rise building?

Called TM to inquire about the RYE upgrade and was told that as my home is high rise, it could only support up to 50 mbps  ohmy.gif

But i thing it is depend TM see that building line,2week ago i ask TM my building support max speed is 30mb,if u say VDSL can get max at 50mb++,then this 50mb got include the hypptv use about 10mb+30mb internet speed?
or is 50mb+10mb hypptv? rclxub.gif

Depends on TM, when I asked TM, they said the maximum speed I can get is only 30Mbps but when I check attainable rate in my modem DSL stat, it can support 119Mbps.

That's winbox.exe, Mikrotik routers' configuration software. Much faster than using the web config and, best of all, non-modal.
Ohh, thanks SW.

seems like your line attenuation is extremely good, it has direct link to distance from your copper line to TM exchange, lower means nearer biggrin.gif
DSL all affected by SNR and Attenuation, sometime is TM dont want to over commit, they simply said cannot support higher speed as general for VDSL bangwall.gif

I dun have that problem as u mention but i would suggest u to logged your connection speed in a week then make an official complain to tm. Maybe they can give u rebate for that.

if you building based :

- VDSL it will go max 52mbps downstream and upstream 3mbps.

- if your building based with VDSL2 , it can go max 100mbps downstream and upstream.

I'm currently on 50mb thank you surprise package and my upload speed can hit 20mb comfortably though hmm.gif

Called TM once again just now, was told this time to drop by TMpoint, apply and wait for the technical team to visit my place to check whether 100 can be supported unsure.gif

Should really ask TM to change interleaving into fastpath.

Archer T9E with ARCHER C3150.
Super fast and stable download speed in 5Ghz AC.
Previously using TM ARCHER C5 download speed fluctuates between 90-100 Mbps in 5Ghz AC.

I've no idea what's going on with my Unifi bill.

My RYE100 upgrade was on 27 Nov. The next day, 28 Nov, was my usual billing cycle and I was bill RM256.35. This was missing the Special RM50 discount. My 28 Nov bill is here. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=87403230 So I reported that and was promptly rebated RM63.60 as illustrated below. All good.
user posted image

Then came 28 Dec and I'm expecting RM189+6% for this bill. Instead I'm billed only RM159.70. Not that I'm complaining but I can't make heads or tails of this bill.
user posted image

At least the correct discount of RM200 is there in the bill.

While my installation was on 27 Nov, it was only completed, due to some technicalities, on 4 Dec so maybe it's got something to do with those 8 days.

Broadnet’s moves raise concern with TM, TNB

https://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...-raise-concern/

PETALING JAYA: The aggressive moves by Broadnet Network Sdn Bhd, the company selected by the Government to undertake the Nationwide Fiberisation Plan (NFP), have raised concerns on government-linked companies (GLCs), namely Telekom Malaysia Bhd  ™ and Tenaga Nasional Bhd  (TNB).

According to sources, both the GLCs are seeking more information from the Government before they engage with Broadnet.

“For starters, TNB wants to know for sure if the Government has a golden share in Broadnet and if they are compelled to collaborate with the company,” said the sources.

As for TM, it was learnt that top officials of the dominant provider of high-speed broadband have sought meetings with the Finance Ministry on the matter.

At the moment, TM’s mainstay is providing broadband connectivity. Towards this end, it has undertaken the High Speed Broadband (HSBB) project for several years and continued to roll out broadband connectivity.

“In some ways, Broadnet would be a competitor to TM. So it is only natural for the company to seek clarification as TM itself is indirectly owned by the Government through Khazanah Nasional Bhd,” said a source.

What is Broadnet’s game plan?

Now not same, before this we get same subnet.. It's point to point IP so it's possible.. Should be normal.

Unfortunately, unless you transfer to someone else, you would have to terminate the account. Otherwise, TM will keep billing you and you would have to pay for services unused.

Problem is it should be within coevrage & I dont see any reason of not installing the port other than the worker did not take the initiative to start the work. Why is it within coverage as my area came in phase by phase and so far all have coverage. And they only start to ACT when accumulated enough requests based on 'demand list'. In short, as my unifi is without contract so its easy for them to brush my request off till the demand list start to build up on certain amount.

Lodged a complaint report to their management as what the 100 staff told me. If did not get resolve within 7 days will escalate to SKMM / CFM. Thank goodness I kept all the livechat conversation.
