Want to check with 100mbps user here, may I know which BTU your using and can the speed hit 100mbps?
Im using the Huawei hg8240w & router tp-link archer c5, on LAN max speed only 95mbps (cat5e cable) but 5G Wifi can hit over 100mbps Im not sure the BTU is FE or GE port, the technician told me this is latest model and no changes needed. I myself also confused because if FE port then wifi wont hit 100mbps right? If anyone here can confirm the BTU is only FE port, then I want to request for equipment change. That BTU or modem should be gigabit port.Im using the Huawei hg8240w & router tp-link archer c5, on LAN max speed only 95mbps (cat5e cable) but 5G Wifi can hit over 100mbps Im not sure the BTU is FE or GE port, the technician told me this is latest model and no changes needed. Is this website legit? If not, what is the other option that I have in order to subscribe to 30 Mbps for RM 139? |

Mine is the Huawei HG8240H which definitely has Gbe ports. Not sure about the HG8240W. Plug your PC directly to the BTU and check the ethernet link speed.Im using the Huawei hg8240w & router tp-link archer c5, on LAN max speed only 95mbps (cat5e cable) but 5G Wifi can hit over 100mbps Im not sure the BTU is FE or GE port, the technician told me this is latest model and no changes needed. QUOTE(westlife @ Dec 20 2017, 09:16 PM) considered the price of rm189 for 100Mbps plan under unifi vs time 100Mbps rm149 which the extra rm50 paid for unifi gets hypptv jumbo + ruby packs and STD20 for free calls. Considered quite small gaps between the two now. time is using symmetrical while unifi not. |

I can never get full speed by connecting 2.4ghz, but 5 Ghz always no problem. Our modem confirmed it's GE port. I also have no idea why 2.4ghz cannot reach, even TM technician telling that it cannot reach, ask me to connect 5 ghz instead if possible. |

QUOTE(SzeMeng76 @ Dec 21 2017, 12:14 AM) Im using same modem with you but router of C1200 instead. It cannot reach full speed when you connect to 2.4GHz as there is interference and congestion on the wireless network in your area caused by multiple wireless devices and AP. 5GHz can reach full speed, as there is less congestion and intereference on that band. See here: https://www.howtogeek.com/222249/whats-the-...should-you-use/I can never get full speed by connecting 2.4ghz, but 5 Ghz always no problem. Our modem confirmed it's GE port.
