just done my upgrade. via 100. intially wanted to go to TM point to do tmr, but saw that most had successfully done via 100. decided to do it via 100 for convenience since TM point is always full of ppl with long queue at my side here.

told the CSO that i received the SMS on the RM10 upgrade promo. (I did not receive anything). Upon checking with my account number provided, CSO confirmed that I am eligible for the upgrade. Swee.

CSO put on hold for a while for gathering my info, after that proceeded to the upgrade process.  CSO spelled out those T&C etc and i just needed to acknowledge.

equipment wise the RG will get 1 year warranty due to this contract renewal. RG4 is the RG needed for 100Mbps, if one's existing one is not RG4, they will need to switch equipment. their system will detect if one's existing RG is RG4 or not, if not, within one week time, they will come to swap the device.  :thumbsup:  if already on RG4, just need to restart the RG after received the confirmation email of upgrade from TM to get the new speed.

nice. RM10, I got so much extra especially the free calls which I do not have before.

Finally my friend and I had TeamViewer session with my sis back at home for few hours, fixing router settings.. Didn't expect small little thing like "Tx power adjustment" makes so much of difference.

We had no issue with 100% on 50Mbps, got full speed all the time. Now gotta adjust to 50% only to maximize the speed of 100Mbps.

2.4GHz and 5GHz are OK now. Just that my sister's iPad Mini 2 is still not too fast, around 78Mbps for 2.4GHz and 57Mbps on 5GHz. Maybe will guide my sister to reset network settings on her iPad later, it is late now. I guess this is a small issue.

Want to check with 100mbps user here, may I know which BTU your using and can the speed hit 100mbps?

Im using the Huawei hg8240w & router tp-link archer c5, on LAN max speed only 95mbps (cat5e cable) but 5G Wifi can hit over 100mbps

Im not sure the BTU is FE or GE port, the technician told me this is latest model and no changes needed.

I myself also confused because if FE port then wifi wont hit 100mbps right?

If anyone here can confirm the BTU is only FE port, then I want to request for equipment change.

you can request tm to change a new router for u. i got my new modem yesterday and able to reach 100mbps om 2.4ghz wifi.

You can't get full speed on 2.4GHz as there is interference or congestion on the wireless network at your place. You should enable 5GHz or at least get an AP or powerline, just for 5Ghz, if you want full speed. See here for further explanation:
