QUOTE(whirlwind @ Nov 6 2020, 06:33 PM) Noted There is no healthcare fund in epf as far as I know.My current constraint would be I’m investing using epf Limited funds to choose from Im actually looking for a fund focusing on health care in the epf fund list The well performing funds available in epf r primarily focus on Malaysia and greater china. As such, u may consider lowering or totally excluding similar region from your other investment portfolio. whirlwind liked this post

QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ Nov 6 2020, 05:23 PM) Saw this at CIMBClicks Yeah, they've been pushing the Affin Hwang fund pretty strongly. It looks tempting with the 1% sales charge, but it's only until December 2020. Means if you plan to DCA, you would be hit with the regular bank sales charge (is it still 3-5%?) Solidify your foundation and attain a long term capital growth with United Global Healthcare Fund ![]() Consist of specified investment in the form of health services, biotech, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment to diversify the income flow. Rest assured knowing that despite the economic uncertainty, your interest is continuously optimized by a stream of steady revenues and strong recurring income for a long term investment horizon. Why invest in United Global Healthcare Fund? ![]() ![]() ![]() https://www.cimb.com.my/en/personal/promoti..._a7:pre_a8:tile Previously, Clicks was promoting this Affin Hwang fund: ![]() That's why I decided not to go for it. encikbuta liked this post

QUOTE(whirlwind @ Nov 6 2020, 06:11 PM) Noted Unless you're legendary investors, don't try to time the market. Not especially with mutual funds as it may cost you sales charges. Would like to avoid the mistake I did switching out my Principal Global Titan Fund before the election. Now it’s doing so well. Even via direct ETF / stock we won't recommend doing it as well. Typically speaking, time IN THE market matters more than TIMING THE market. There's many studies about it, in the long run, a DCA person into SNP500 earned even more than a best market timer whom accumulated cash up to market bottom and lumpsum invested everything. Heck, even a worst timer of accumulating lumpsum and dump in during market PEAK before crash had a sizable portfolio size after 35+ years tenure. |
