hi, anyone can advise what is the different between RHB Cash Management Fund 2 and Cash Account? If i wanna top up or buy new fund, switch from cmf2 or cash account, which one is faster processing time? or just the same.
*
I think RHB cash management fund 2 is the preferred/default option. I emailed FSM when this new RHB fund popped up, and they said this is for cash management etc.

haha, your portfolio exactly like mine, minus CIMB greater china.

Lol for a moment I thought it was my account.

I bought Eastpring around Dec I think, now down -3.8 for me. The most negative compared to the rest.

QUOTE(Ancient-XinG- @ Jul 4 2018, 02:19 PM)
Some interview from newspaper with fsm analyst today, major content:

-KLCI undervalue
-KLCI almost seen its bottom. Going to bounce.
-MYR strengthening favour market
-Now good time to enter MY market.
-Tech stock looks promising. 20% up semi conduct products.
-Bond worth to in. Ratio shall be 30 foreign exposure@malaysia short term:70malysia

Mentioned above based on my memory. Shall be more or less the same.

My view:
LOL this is the job of analyst. KLCI undervalue I don't know listen how many time. Best time to enter local market also don't know how many time. market almost seen its bottom also don't know how many time. Weekly sunday say the breach at xxxx point. Every week also keep lower down, but previous week say breach unlikely to breached. 1.7k say 1.7k is bottom, now 1.6k say 1.6k is bottom. next week see see 1.5k say 1.5k is bottom. Rinse and repeat ahaha.
Say tech stock worthwhile to invest but recommended fund nowhere to see any tech fund.

About the FI part, good la. What he mention true also.
*
Thanks for the news and your opinion, appreciate it.

Although it doesn't really affect/change my opinion of when to top up my funds. biggrin.gif

I was about to top up my PRS.
Maybe switch gear to top up normal funds first.

FSM: Just as planned. rclxms.gif

Lol. Anyway I wonder whether the fund companies have a deal with FSM, like ask them offer discounts to push these particular funds this month? biggrin.gif

Damn it, I just topped up yesterday.

Edit: just talked to the agent, he can't do anything at all. Completely useless.

Can someone provide me with a list of promotions that I should keep an eye on throughout the year? Other than the usual fund of the month?
First year in FSM here, I really hate to top one day and then next day got promotion.

I never tried this but can you void your transactions and then buy again? If it is from your cash account, just email them to cancel.
*
Can't void transaction if you already paid/transferred from the fund cash within the same business day.

Really getting annoyed with FSM, especially their poor communication with managed portfolio.

Edit to add: I was hoping at least they can offer like, "sorry we can't reverse it but we can give you a special promotion charge for your next transaction" or something like that. So far all my communication with them is always just "sorry, we can't do anything/We regret to inform you/Sorry for the confusion" and then "Anything else we can assist you with?"

Yeah, maybe should put the info on first post.

So, any more typical upcoming promotions until end of the year?

I made a partial withdrawal request for my managed portfolio, coincidentally just before the big market drops (18 Jan) . Until now transasction still processing, a bit annoyed now if the redemption value will be much lower.

Since late 2017 without any DCA
Now -ve 4%

I also bought aggressive, end 2018. Occasional top-up.
Early this year decided to sell off some of them, lucky i guess.

Been dropping these past days, right now around -6%.

I just checked, it's on Jan 2018

But my DIY portfolio started aug 2017.
That time I am still very new and believe
Time in market > timing the market
So my DIY portfolio and MP are lump-sum

I remember my DIY performing better than MP during the trade war.

Note
Never DCA MP
DIY DCA monthly with small amount only.
*
There was a promotion a while back that gives 0% subscription fee for life you sign up for regular savings plan for MP.
It could be a as low as RM100. I signed up for it since that is a pretty low cost of top up compared to the usual minimum top-up required.

haha same! did you also start on FSM some time early this year? i joined sometime early Jan 2020 and i oso just went into overall green a few days ago.

during the 2 month negative period, i thought it was quite funny to sometimes say to myself, "oh -1% drop only today, very good!"
*
Nope, since end 2018. Mostly just on my own UTs, then early 2019 start Managed Portfolio. Left it abandoned for a while, topping up few times. Then few months ago signed up for the RSP for MP for free subcscription fee, with a small amount of top-up/month.

Thanks for compliment? Lol
It has been more than 10 working days. I was hoping some forumer will shed some lights before I emailed them.
My others funds already settled in my saving account tho.

Yup. I am still holding on cash. Waiting for sign of reversal.
By looking at the graph, as of now Nasdaq heading towards 10250 plus not much positive market movement news from the US.

Use whatever method that earns and give you sense of security. There's no right or wrong.
*
Could be monthly, I think. I sold off some portion of my MP in mid August and only got the amount in my RHB cash fund in early Sept I think.

Yeah, they've been pushing the Affin Hwang fund pretty strongly. It looks tempting with the 1% sales charge, but it's only until December 2020. Means if you plan to DCA, you would be hit with the regular bank sales charge (is it still 3-5%?)

That's why I decided not to go for it.
