I think FSM is always hesitant about people using their funds mainly to chase forex returns. I can agree that MYR has limited downside from here on out but I'm not so sure that it has any upside either.

Hence, investors should refrain themselves from chasing FX returns when investing into the foreign markets. Instead, investors should focus on the fundamentals of the region and invest into the markets with potential upsides that could cover the losses coming from marginal rebound in ringgit.

(that was mentioned in that article.......)  thumbup.gif

If like that (fundamental strong), no more downside, country like Greece, Venezuela, Egypt won't exist liao. rolleyes.gif

it is up to my FM to determine and invests in fundamentally strong companies....
i don't care if that countries is good or bad......i don't want my FM to invest i countries...i want them to invests in companies...that is unless my funds are mandated to invests in that country's govt securities papers...

Hi, silent reader here, got some more money to pump in, so wait for fed announcement before topup? Just starting my portfolio, start slowly from bottom, less than 1 month, now mostly in red 😅, any comment for my selection? All based on my reading in this thread, thanks. 😊

I will continue monthly top up irregardless of market condition tongue.gif

REITs dropping? the top up will benefit when it rise laugh.gif

Higher allocation is due to the min top up requirement by aminvest sweat.gif

But, similarly to rhb emerging bond, will treat both as fixed income in the portfolio tongue.gif

Come in just at the right time, please help us to answer why cimb asia pac dynamic income aka ponzi 2.0 gives out a distribution per unit of RM 0.0007 per unit. Did someone put a knife on the fund house neck ?
